Recommended Posts

Here's a WIP of the project i'm doing.

It's a medium scaled truck that has a rotating top half which will have a ...??????
But currently i'm trying to make the bottom half and shoot the steering mechanism trough the turntable.

It looks nice, although the headlights look a little too close to each other

Agreed. I dislike the headlights too.

Hi, can you re-upload you pictures in proper size? Right now, they are way too big.

you could use bricksafe, it allows you to size exactly when you paste.

I like your outriggers, they are ingeniously simple.

On the other hand, what exactly is this (or based off of)? A picture would be nice.

Good luck!

This is what inspired me:

But i'm building something else. I'll just go with the flow and see what i come up with.

You can resize the pictures on imgur when you upload them, very handy feature :classic:

The front outriggers really are ingenious. I love such compact builds.

I minor problem i see is your rear axle: the axles holding the half-beams are orthogonal to the ground. Over time or with big loads they will get pushed out.

Update!

Tweaked the frame a little and i'm pretty pleased with it at the moment. I might put some details here and there but the bottom half is now finished.. For the top half, i'll probably make either a crane or an excavator type of deal..

It's amazing how much weight these tiny little outriggers can hold. You could push it down so hard that the frame bends but the outriggers won't give.
The rear outriggers are a hard nut to crack because the front ones were just perfect.. But i think this version is the best you can do with that space.

Thoughts?
