Mister Phes Posted October 7, 2007 A strong leader is a necessity to lead the men into victory so which of the following Pirate Theme leaders do you think does it best? Vote now and tell us your reasons! Captain Roger/Redbeard Captain Ironhook Governor Broadside Admiral Woodhouse King Kahuka Captain Brickbeard The Governor
Captain Green Hair Posted October 7, 2007 Captain Green hair is, why is he not in the list?? Yarrrr! But if i have to choose... i'd say Broadside, from his merely small fortress (as we decided in the eldorado fort thread) he reigns the world!
Sir Norman Ray Posted October 7, 2007 Had to be the Admiral *sweet*
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 7, 2007 While the Admiral commands the fleet, technically the governor is the leader, so I chose him.
SirNadroj Posted October 7, 2007 (edited) Governor Broadside because he controls the entire Imperial Soldier Army and Navy! ;-) Edited October 7, 2007 by SirNadroj
DerStein Posted October 7, 2007 Captain Roger is the mightest leader he is the Commander of the "Black Skull Eye Schoner" and this is the ship with the most fire power of 8 kanons ;) This ship will beat all!
jifel Posted October 7, 2007 king kahuka is the ultimate leader, cause he has afunky hat! jifel
Scouty Posted October 7, 2007 Admiral Woodhouse controls a Trading post and a ship. He has comerce and wealth. He wins.
simonwillems Posted October 7, 2007 Fun thread! I voted for governor Broadside, being the most exclusive minifig of all participants, he comes in just two sets... Why does this make him a great leader? Don't know.... *wacko*
Mister Phes Posted October 8, 2007 Broadside coming in a close first with the others not far behind - exceot poor old Captain Ironhook who is to receive a vote!
Scouty Posted October 8, 2007 I guess Ironhook will always be the shadow of Roger/Redbeard ... X-D By the way...where is the Spanish Captain?
Mister Phes Posted October 8, 2007 Yes, look at the ships Redbeard got... Black Seas Barracuda... Skulls Eye Schooner... Red Beard Runner... Captain Ironhook gets... Rengade Runner and a Raft Raiders... He didn't even get a proper hideout...
Shadows Posted October 8, 2007 Definitely Broadside. Goes from ship to fortress, never wrecked, never beaten in recorded LEGO history. Tiny ship, tiny base, still blazing fear in the hearts of pirates everywhere! Plus he was part of my first and last new pirate sets (having entered my dark ages promptly thereafter and not coming out until it was too late).
Scouty Posted October 8, 2007 Broadside gets beat in the comics :-P .
Dreamweb Posted October 8, 2007 (edited) Broadside is the man. He's the rarest and the coolest of them all. Redbeard was in too many sets and I'm sort of fed up with him. By the way...where is the Spanish Captain? I think the problem with the Spanish Armada is that the captain remained anonymous until the line was discontinued, so that leaves us with practically no background information about him ;) Edited October 8, 2007 by Dreamweb
Siegfried Posted October 8, 2007 King Kahuka - He was not followed, he was worshipped!
Shadows Posted October 8, 2007 Broadside gets beat in the comics :-P . *runs around ranting and screaming that comics aren't canon and don't count!* *wacko* I really should read the comics one day ... ;-)
Mister Phes Posted October 8, 2007 Broadside gets beat in the comics :-P . What do you mean comics? There was only one comic - unless there's something I don't know about.
Scouty Posted October 8, 2007 I thought there were more than one Pirate comic. Three, actually. But broadside might be beaten in only one.
Mister Phes Posted October 8, 2007 Are you sure you're not confusing the comics with the Ladybird Book series?
Scouty Posted October 8, 2007 Probably, I wouldn't know.
Mister Phes Posted October 8, 2007 T'would be good if you could find out. I'd be very interested to know if there were more comics than just the one.
Scouty Posted October 8, 2007 Okay, so there are 4 Ladybird books: 1. Will and the Gold Chase 2. Captain Roger's Birthday 3. Adventure on Shark Island 4. The Royal Visit All who have Broadside. I can't find anything on comics beside just the one. :-) Arrr!
Axle Posted October 8, 2007 Redbeard(I like to call him Captain Redbread, devoloped when I was playing Lego Racers and said it wrong). is my fav, so should be Mightiest. He also has a. Patch, hook and wooden leg, making him weaker(?) 8-| Or does it mean he's escaped more battles then that pompous broadside (Lol X-D).
El Bucanero Posted October 8, 2007 Where's the Spanish leader?! Huzzah for the Imperial Armada! I think the problem with the Spanish Armada is that the captain remained anonymous until the line was discontinued, so that leaves us with practically no background information about him ;) What about.. him: >:-)
