I like it. Been a while since we had an MX bike. I mean what did people really expect? A 5 speed gearbox in a set of this size?

No, but previous small motorcycles(the kawasaki and ducati) had an simple 2+N gearbox which was really nice inclusion:).

The batcycle is so far the only exeption without gearbox.

Yes, but those also had 200 more parts and cost 70€/80€. So not the same even if at a similar scale.

Those were $85 and $80 though. This is $50. It’s much more intended as a kids toy IMO.

Mm looks quite nice! I like that the fairings are removable, and I appreciate that they've tried to do a brick built exhaust.

But oof that price is quite steep. $80-90 AUD for less than 500 pieces, nearly all of which are straightforward...

The Panigale V4R came with a gearbox, 40% higher piece count, and a lot of large panels. This is far too barebones for its price.

I wonder if the combined high price and Ducati licensing will actually make the sales numbers suffer?

A motorcross bike is supposed to be lightweight aka barebones! Also not having a large V4 engine makes it impossible to fit a gearbox. I would rather compare it to the last MX bikes or the BMW R1200 GS and those also didn't have any gearbox, the latter cost also 50€ in 2017.

Hmm if I check Brickmerge, the 42107 was 646 pieces for 59,99€. This set was released in 2020, so with inflation it would be 73,50€, meaning 11 c/piece, same as the Desmo.

I really like it. It's basic and bare-boned, e.g. look a the support of the rear mudguard, which is only fixed on one side. The front mudguard is also nicely build with the red leaf part from botanicals.

Am I seeing a 1x1 rubber piece at the right hand side of the bike? At the bottom gears on the 3x3 T piece.

Yes, it's 24375.

Yes, that's the one, thanks! I wonder why they put that here.

Maybe to cover the shame of putting an axle only halfway through the 16t gear driving the engine crankshaft.

I'll wait for better quality images to finish this. I'm still missing around 30 parts.

I have noticed that you have forgotten a tiny little light bluish gray pin behind the gear wheel:).

That's not true at all. In fact before 2020 every motorcycle was without a gearbox.
