  1. There was news earlier this year that “many” 2026 sets were being delayed by several months - but little in the way of specifics. The specific sets we did hear (some Pokemon, Sagrada Família) were the bigger ones. Might be the issue here too.
  2. The car licenses are virtually never exclusive, or are exclusive to a very specific vehicle. It would be shocking if that was the issue. I’m guessing the reason 42215 is retiring early is because seemingly no one liked it.
  3. The set retires July 31. Lego has an API with retirement dates they share with retailers and a few different folks how found ways to tap into that and publish dates. The last few years Lego has done nearly all retirements on Dec 31, this year they returned to their old way of also having a significant retirement of sets on July 31, and several other major sets are also retiring that day. Remember that Lego’s retirement dates are meant for retailers, not their own stores and website, and Lego shop from home may run out sooner than that.
  4. That tracks, having seen the AMG GT3 out of stock pretty much continuously the first 6 months after launch.
  5. The Viva was the oldest 1:8 they still sold. Hasn’t it been gone for close to a year? I have noticed that sets disappear from the CaDA site sometimes when they are out of stock and then reappear later.
  6. This is certainly true for the cars; however I would wish at least the next flagship model (should we ever get one again) would be RC in the manner in which the Cat D11 or the Liebherr Excavator was RC,. Thanks for the detailed reply.
  7. Do we have any idea if the smart battery box will ever be seen again after 42160 retires this summer? After that huge push a few years ago for app controlled stuff, there will be no RC anything on the market except trains and that integrated box.
  8. 42175, 42177, and 42179 are all still available, all have unusual features, and all are easy to mod. also the soon to retire 42160 might be your last chance to get a PU hub and motors bundle to use to power things like 42175.
