kahir88 Posted May 21 Posted May 21 (edited) Hey there! It happened, some of my co-workers and fellow club members started making upscale figures, vehicles, and animals. So, I too decided to join in the fun, and of course, I wanted to enter this small competition with my favorite castle figure. Yeah, cas252, Wolfpack. The arms and legs are the same as every upscale figure (excluding the pirate, sry ). I didn't want to use the simple minifigure head slope, so I had to figure out what the height and size of this part were, maybe where the eyes were, and had to build it for myself. I think I really nailed it. The torso was the real challenge. My co-worker told me he is working on an upscale SW stormtrooper, and he will print some stickers for the torso. I decided, why am I a master builder if I can't build a simple Wolfpack insignia? So, I sat down and made plans, measuring how to fit this decoration into a 1x6x6 panel space, and whether there was a way to increase its size, at least in length. So far, I was able to come up with this pattern, using brackets to fill up the little gaps and give the build the right squeeze so they won't fall out. But it didn't fit in the torso, so I removed the difficult build inside the torso (especially the frontal support). I had to make a few more adjustments at his armpits, but I think it came out fabulous! His cape was easy after the inside of the torso. Edited May 21 by kahir88 Quote
GeoBrick Posted May 22 Posted May 22 Nicely done. I wonder if those 1x1 slopes with cheese printing on them would work as stubble. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 22 Posted May 22 This is a constructive art that has always fascinated me, beautiful! Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted May 24 Posted May 24 The hood & cape, the face, the wolfpack crest - love the figure! Quote
Stereo Posted May 25 Posted May 25 Really looks nice, easily recognizable even without using prints/stickers like the other upscale figures. Too bad the oldest hinge plate variant was never made gray, it would be good for fangs. I guess there's also locking hinges. Quote
Feuer Zug Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Spot on! Great work getting all the printed details to work in brick format. Quote
AmperZand Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Excellent 👍 I especially like the brick-built Wolfpack emblem. Quote
