I thought it was several parts?

It looks so, but all of them are modeled parts and not standard bricks. Compared to 76389's basilisk who's middle was standard bricks.

Forgot the middle part 😅

Looks like it will be expensive. 2100+ bricks so its going to be at least £200 ($250+), probably more I would have thought.

The price already leaked a while ago - and is indeed said to be 249,99€ - and also what people guessed after the part count leaked.

Is the blurred tower in the background supposed to be the Hospital Wing, or are we expecting another set either later this year, or early next? I’m not sure my wallet could stand 2 more this year, as already, as a new collector of this range, I’m missing the boathouse, and some of the interior alternate sets, as they’re retired, and can’t afford to pay £70+ for the potions class on the second hand market, let alone the boathouse.  I think its the figures that bump up the price!

Should be the main tower.

Yep, so hyped that 12 was wrong and not in the disappointing direction. For a new-ish collector a Lee Jordan and Millicent are great additional students. Snape and Filch are meh, but it means the Doe is in this set and not the Book Nook. Also love the flying Fawkes and completely molded Basilisk (instead of partially molded).

Norbert and Plants look great for what they are. I just don't collect that style.

To me it looks like only the head is really a new mould, the rest of the body look like existing parts to me, but could of course be wrong.

So with the Doe beeing in the east wing, what Scene do we expect to be depicted in Dumbledores office? Also I need better pics of the new flying fawkes, not sure if the head looks much like him based of the leaked pictures.

I thought the had was from the last one, but the body part from the head and halfway down the snake is not that new? And then the same part the other way around below that?

Since it was a Harris Dumbledore in the leaked image, something from PS or COS.

I could see it being the scene after Harry defeats the basilisk and Dumbledore shows him the sword.

On the Main Tower box there was a very blatant Astronomy Tower. On this box it’s a bit more obscure. The one behind on the left looks like their generic version of the Main Tower which was on the Great Hall box art. The pillars on the right do look like a slightly obscured astronomy tower, but that’s a reach.

It appears the middle of the facade the East Wing sits on is empty so the Basilisk can come through the Chamber of Secrets. Makes it feel like the Viaduct Bridge won't be detachable from the East Wing itself.

Yeah, you´re right, seems like the old head. About the tubes I am not actually sure. I mean the old one got replaced by a new one that is slightly longer, but not by that much.

I would say that it is just more of those tubes connected, so two of them for the lower half and one of them (+the one on the head) on the upper half, that just look straighter because you are looking at them pretty much from the front - could of course also be wrong and they made a new piece with another degree or lenght.

I am always fascinated how people could tell the difference from that blurry pictures.

Honestly, that wouldn´t have been a scene that would come to my mind first - though in the end I would also say that the most iconic ones are probably not from the first two films anyways. I´d actually say that the scene right after the one in dumbledores office is more iconic actually.

Interior just dropped so now it’s time to absolutely glaze this set. Minifigure lineup is absolutely stellar. Ofc Lockhart in Warm Pink just absolutely warms the soul, absolutely impeccable likeness. Getting both Lee and Filch here are great as I missed out on them from the Hogsmeade Train and Owlery. Millicent is much welcome deep cut glad to have her here. Hermoine as a second face for Polyuice Cat form which is nice. The Doe Patronus being in this set is absolutely clutch, I don’t have to drop anything on the Book Nook. Four sizable animals molds in one set is bonkers, but I absolutely love it. Bloody Baron looks a little ridiculous and overtop with both hair and mustache pieces but I oddly dig it too? Overall stupidly fun crew of characters.

Now for the build, I’m so glad we have the stone bridge here, this was imo essential and was hoping they wouldn’t just leave an open gap so love seeing it here. Lockhart’s DADA is officially dead but it’s fine because we already have a DADA but in its place is a nice hallway with the armor and the Bloody Wall! Love Lego including it here along with Petrified Norris, glad it’s not too graphic. Library always loved the shaping of this from the sketches with the indent, but there’s a bunch of bookshelves and a door which I think it’s supposed to be the Restricted Section! Chamber is surprisingly close to the 2021 one which is fine because it was a good representation of the Chamber and Salazar Slytherin statue has some green accents which make it pop. One nitpick are the tan Snake Statues but I can replace that easy. I really love the new Basilisk, huge improvement over the last one with the new color and no standard bricks. Talk about glow up…
The Girl’s Bathroom lifts up and out just like in the movie so that’s super cool to see! Kinda missing the stall that’s kinda a bummer but it’s not the end of the world. Overall, perfection out of ten!

Is there not a small stall in the thin tower? Looks like there is a dark green door there in the pictures

It’s a stall that leads into a wall. I appreciate the consideration but clearly there wasn’t space

Well, the booknook features indeed the mentioned scene (though that is the only scene in the first movies there anyways), so maybe it is more Iconic than I thought. Or they just decided to go with it anyways.

Love the booknook, the interior really looks nice - and the new Phoenix mould thankfully is great too.

The book nook is nice, but not ‘change my mind about book nooks’ nice, so I’ll probably be grabbing the phoenix patronus off Bricklink.

East Wing looks good. I like that it includes the library. And it’s nice that Snape is the secret thirteenth minifigure instead of the previous lists being wrong. I’m guessing the preliminary models that previous leakers saw didn’t include the patronus gimmick, and I’m glad when it was added they upped the number of minifigures instead of removing anyone. The updated Basilisk and Mrs. Norris are very nice.

Herbology plants are rather forgettable, but given how popular the Botanical line is I’m guessing it will attract a different kind of adult fan.

Norbert is cute and has the fabric wings needed to not be horribly clunky. I’ve mostly skipped the recent buildable creatures, but I might need to grab this one. We’ll see how it looks when we’ve got more images.

Just realised that the East Wing comes with a 13th minifig in the form of a suit of armour! Kinda funny since I recently mentioned it as one of the few things we haven’t seen in the current theme yet. My manifestation powers are back!! :snicker:

You mean FOURTEENTH minifigure if you count the suit of armor.

The named characters are Hermione, Myrtle, Lee Jordan, Tom Riddle, Filch, Ron, Draco, the Bloody Baron, Harry, Lockhart, Millicent Bulstrode, Ginny, and Snape. That’s thirteen. The suit of armor would make it fourteen.

I'm really liking the looks of the Book nook set.  The only previous one I was interested in was the Sherlock Holmes one. This one looks great.

Norbert looks cute. Not my thing but genuinely cute.

The plants look very meh, I think you'd have to be a hardcore fan of Neville or something in order to want them. That mandrake is so poorly done compared to the last.

I'm so not interested in the current modular Hogwarts.

Does anyone know how the book nook would scale with the last one? The first iteration of book nooks (Hogwarts Express, LotR Balrog, Sherlock Holmes) were already different sizes, so is this one at least the same size as the Hogwarts Express? That said I'm on the fence whether I like the subject. On the one hand it looks more sensible than the HE (which was presented as two train parts on different tracks, and the kids running towards the engine with their luggage). On the other hand LEGO have been way too obsessed with Dumbledore's Office lately. That's already the THIRD iteration within a year!!!

East wing has connection points at the back - could it mean astronomy tower is coming? Or bell tower?

please🙏

Maybe there will be other sets, maybe not, but connections are a weak evidence.

They put a connection also on the right back corner of the Great Hall where nothing has to be connected.  Conncetions serves to increase modularity: let the people arrange differently their sets, even if they hadn't all of them, and suggest people to build their own add on. And there's also the Flying Lesson set that isn't until now showing connected.
