@Gzynek2323

Good catch, this must've been added very recently in that reddit list as there is no mention of it in the comments, at first I thought I hadn't copied the full list but at least someone would've mentioned the set in that reddit thread.

Yeah 740 pieces, sports car and off-road vehicle, August release. That's what it says, hopefully excellent value again from Mercedes like with 76924.

I would love to see Lego make Manthey's grello GT3 R in Speed Champions form. Neon yellow and lime would be an awesome combo to get! Though I highly doubt it would ever happen, seeing as we already have a GT3 RS on shelves.

Just bought Lightning McQueen and it's great. Fun build and they really captured the look of what is probably the most famous cartoon race car.

I may be wrong with above statement as I saw some mentions of Mercedes 2-pack (sports car/truck) in August wave

Somewhere, it was rummored among leaks that it could not be a Mercedes 2-pack but a Jaguar 2-pack set.
In this case, I would bet on the old F-Type and possibly something like the E-Type.

That would definitely be a great combination

Hoonicorn leaked in the usual place. Looks pretty dang good. New fender elements. Definitely like the wheels. New inserts I assume?

Is it a good model of what it's supposed to be? Yes.

Do I wish it was a regular 1965 Mustang without all the hooning mods? Also yes.

Individual Speed Champions cars are now built at 8-wide, include a single minifigure, are priced at $30, and have several models in a single release wave.

Individual Batmobiles are now built at 8-wide, include a single minifigure, are priced at $30, and have several models in a single release wave.

Gee, the Speed Champions/Batmobiles convergence has finally happened.

Now only leaked now... Ken Block's '65 Ford Mustang Hoonicorn V1 77262 | Speed Champions | Buy online at the Official LEGO® Shop PT

New parts I have spotted:

  1. Wheels in golden color (seems to be a new variation of 6278 with pearl gold center)
  2. Wheel covers
  3. Windshield - I haven't noticed it initally but it looks shorter - it has a less inclined front side, more vertical like old windshields, but in a new format. I can't wait to use it in my muscle-car-alike MOCs.

Just who wonders - the golden air pipes under the Nexo Shield are the stacked 32828.

I think I'm done with the model, and it's time for maybe a V2 variant or a Hoonitruck...
77262%20-%20Ken%20Block's%20'65%20Ford%2

Just to highlight, it really has a shorter and less inclined windshield (in gold, see above).

Oh, how long I was waiting for a more "civilian" windshield, because the current one is sometimes too streamlined for a not-so-sporty car.

It could be, but this particular car is a heavily chopped '65 Mustang, so making the original one from it will require re-designing it nearly from scratch. Plus, it lost a lot of the classic chromed things like side moldings, bumpers etc.

77260 will use wheels known from 77254 but in silver, also windshield from 77241 but with orange print.

The orange one seems to use a new part to hold up the spoiler (and the same part on the front end). It looks sort of like a miniaturization of the classic aircraft tail piece, 1x1 with a half-plate step back from bottom to top.

499 windscreen print looks ace. They really phoned it in on the wheels tho; could have been cool new inserts or nothing at all (as on the BMW LMDH ) but the round studs stuck in there look pretty poor.

[popcorn emoji] Waiting on leaks for the BMW M3. Super curious what colorway (will we get modern blue mudguards?) and build techniques (has got to be smooth, those box-flared fenders?)

Just checked and you're right.

I suspect that they wanted to hide tan/white/gray axle instead of using black one...

According to itavix_bricks via Instagram, 77264 is going to be a Land Rover Defender and Jaguar Project 7.

Gonna have to get that one! Wonder if they will ever make a Range Rover (Autobiography)? :excited:
