I mean we could potentially see Queen Ann’s Revenge as the third ship? Then we have a good guy ship a bad guy ship and then more of an antihero ship in traditional terms if that makes sense.

Maybe...Fourth movie has very mixed reception. Plus I really doubt us getting a QAR before we get a Flying Dutchman. At least I hope we get a Dutchman first, (it's my most wanted set). 

 

I might be delusional here but I think there is more figures coming. It would be CRIMINAL to not get a Barbossa for example. What other set would he come in?? (If we're considering that we are only getting ship sets for now). This makes me think we are going to get more figures than listed.

He could be included in the Queen Anne's Revenge, if we were to assume that the other two vessels were to be released.

My thoughts exactly.  He is literally the captain in the first movie and considering we are getting the likes of Cotton and Marty I'd be shocked to not get Barbossa at the very least, realistically Jack the monkey needs to be included as well, especially given the fact we are getting cottons parrot.  I think including him Ragetti and Pintel are a must as they are like antiheroes of the franchise so gives some playability of having the good guys against the bad guys kind of thing, plus we could get duel heads with the skeleton face on.

That wouldn't make much sense though. We never see the battle between the pearl and the QAR in the movie and him in his imperial uniform would be silly if a regular one isnt released. He also never steps foot on the QAR in the film. They simply HAVE to include him in the Black Pearl. Ridiculous otherwise.

Agreed. I have custom printed Ragetti and Pintel from the video game which I adore but I want official ones! Also I'm certain we get Jack the money, but I wouldn't hope for much. They will probably just throw in the regular monkey from city sets. Same one as in Eldorado

He captain's the QAR from the fourth's end into the latest film, up to the point of it's destruction and his capture by Cpt. Salazar and the Silent Mary.

They never set foot anywhere near the Pearl in those uniforms though. But they would be cool, just work better with a Interceptor.

 

Speaking of which, the current rumoured fig list works much better for the Interceptor than the Pearl imo.

Right sorry I kind of have the QAR attached to the fourth film. I don't really see a set being released on the fifth movie at all. Maybe on the fourth film. A QAR from the fifth film would stink.

Aye, one of the last scenes in the fourth film showed Barbossa in his typical garments aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge. 

 

For now I do think LEGO will release just the Black Pearl.

Neither is Jack Sparrow’s hair or hat. All the unique molds have been gone for over five years.

Lego might be lazy and use the version of the minifig without his hat like they did in the Silent Mary. 

Barbossa in the fourth movie is wearing a privateers uniform without the hat for most of the movie, he dons the pirate uniform at the end and dead men tell no tales. Nothing surprises me anymore tbh. 

I had the QaR and honestly to get an accurate version will be impossible, the captain's quarters is just too big Imho, plus the intricated skulls all over will be something beautiful to behold if they manage to pull it off. 

 

PS speaking of which, having the old POTC is becoming a burden more than a hobby now, that same Jack Sparrow minifig is at the verge of breaking, the reddish-brown pants began to get tight, any more walking poses and it's over for poor jack. Sets I can replace, minifigs, it's iffy, I literally applied wd-40 to avert the inevitable but museum poses it is for now.

That would be incredibly petty of them. Didn’t even consider it but now I’m worried((( Iirc in DMTNT Barbossa has a bit of a different outfit as well. But I REALLY doubt we are getting anything for the fourth and fifth movie any time soon. And the barrbossas from those two films don’t interest me.
 

 

I actually finished a rebrickable moc last week that adds an additional 1500 pieces to the QAR and it is gorgeous! A bit janky and you can’t place all the cannons but looks great. Around the size of PoBB but like you noted the cabin eats up a LOT of pieces. We will see.

 

I’ve been incredibly lucky, only my Will turner causes issues so far

As much as I appreciate Marty, Anamaria, and Cotton finally getting minifigs, the omission of Barbossa, Pintel, and Ragetti is still just baffling. Just in terms of minifig selections, this is quite easily my biggest disappointment this year  

They absolutely nailed the rosters in the Beast’s Castle, the Shire, the TNG Enterprise, the One Piece theme, the Spider-man sets, the Ideas Prize Machine, and many other themes and sets this year, but somehow really dropped the ball on this one. I hope we get more sets like the Flying Dutchman further down the line, but I have no idea where else these three could fit in, unless they will also release location-based sets.

INCREDIBLY jealous of One Piece sets. Imagine a line like that for PoTC? Wanted posters for notable pirates or nine pieces of eight to collect? Oh wow that would be amazing! I would love a UCS shipwreck cove! A reboot of even the same locations and sets as last time would be a dream come true. One can hope

If the list included Barbossa I’d say it’s the full list as you could see them leaving Pintell and Ragetti out (even though they shouldn’t).  But the fact that Barbossa isn’t included in this list makes me confident the list is incomplete.  Especially considering he was the captain of the Black Pearl for most of the first movie which this set is based on and when I think about The Black Pearl he’s probably the second character behind Jack I think of associated with it.

It wouldn't be the first time Lego released the Black Pearl without Barbosa. Granted, the first one was based on the second film, and you were able to buy Barbosa in a small set.

Pintel and Ragetti should have 100% been on the list, they are integral to the crew.

I belive the price wasn´t known yet, same as the actual number of minifigs - and for now I would take both with a grain of salt, since the seems indeed a bit high, though of course there can be reasons for it (aside from beeing Disney licensed and the sails). So far we know 7 Minifigs by name, but especially at that price point, I would expect more and I don´t think it was specified that this would be the only minfigs. So I would hope that they saw the minifig list and the info for the number of figs is just based on this.

Maybe it's just my gut feeling, but has stonewars ever reported something that is not accurate? I feel like they always wait until they have "internal cofirmation" for the news they put out. 

Seven minifigs indeed is lackluster and leaves a lot to be desired. Arkham gets 16 minifigs for 100$ less.

Anyway, for me the Pearl is an easy pass at this price point. And speaking as a moccer, the Black Pearl has one big disadvantage.... it's black! And who needs all those black pieces?  I would never build a all black ship anyway! I know the Black Pearl is an icon, but because of the color I would choose any other ship over it.
