Yes, they're bandits. But originally the Wolfpack had their own tower with bridge. So why shouldn't they get something similar now, too? Quote

However I think two Knights and a Wolfpack Bandit would be possible and the second or third model could include a Wolfpack Bandit Hideout. Quote

If it is the case I hope it would be a real new one unlike the 10273 ones... There are pics now and I think you called it. It seems the classic ghost cowl is back! It also looks like they are bringing back the CMF Series 4 Monster and the CMF Series 14 Wolf Guy in the set :O Quote

karrit Posted April 16 Posted April 16 I really hope that leaked picture for the Haunted House is the real thing! I'm pretty sure I have one or two of the old ghost from the 90's but really want some new ones. Also missed out on the Monster series during a dark age so the Werewolf & Frankenstein cMF's are missing from my collection. I do have the more recent Wolf & Vidiyo Werewolf CMF's and the one from the Ideas Book. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Seems like they're really changing how they play with minifigs in creator now. Really brings the scenes to life. Pretty game changing!! Quote

Pretty game changing!! I think they know minifigures sell larger sets like this, and also necessary for scene type sets. I doubt a Castle or a Viking village would sell well without them. I see quite a difference between these and the more traditional 3 in 1 smaller animal or vehicle type builds. And there are now loads of recreation type 3in1 Creator sets with figures. Sets like 7346 beach house (2012) had a figure, when it's neighbours 7345 and 7347 didn’t. It is hard to play with a house without a figure, whereas it is easier to play with a vehicle or a buildable creature like a dinosaur or monkey. Quote

I think he is mainly referring to that 3-1 always gave us just very little minifigures, like the 3 in 1 castle had only 3 not counting the skeleton, and there is just one set that had more than that as far as I can see. Getting 6 minifigures now is a huge improvement and the lack of minifigures was always what bothered me most about the previous castle. And sure, you can order more on pick a brick, but not everyone knows that and regular customers in a shop would probably be pretty disappointed about that fact. Quote

Also these figures are leaning way further into creating new or resurrecting old parts to use. Generally it's little more than a few new (though quite generic) torsos that a Creator set is given the budget for. This years lineup is bringing back decade old molds like the crown and ghost but also having several new, not particularly reusable, prints per these sets. Quote
6129c04 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 @MAB @Black Falcon @Renny The Spaceman Personally I would like to see more Creator 3-in-1 sets with minifigs. Some good examples: 31111 Cyber Drone - excellent set, good for army building and also versatile it could be added next to other sci-fi themes. 31130 - Sunken Treasure Mission - great set, could fit with City in a more kaiju type of scenario. 31109 & 31132 - these are very similar, but they're both very good and show that minifig-scale vehicles of all types can have great success in this theme. I hope that TLG will carry on this approach with sci-fi vehicles perhaps, maybe a larger dropship or something (with at least 2 minifigs), they could make a ship that fits aesthetically with the older Cyber Drone, there are many possibilities. I want to see sets that have a good design, that can stand on their own also with strong alternates and not something cobbled together just so they can advertise new minifigs and then lure fans to buy those minifigs on PAB. There's nothing wrong with buying minifigs that way, but the older 31120 was liked for the castle itself and especially as a parts-pack, many alternates were made on Rebrickable using multiple copies, the minifigs were fine but they weren't the highlight. I don't want to sound negative towards set 31168 avant la lettre, I do hope it's a worthy successor to 31120 regarding the building itself, after all that is the main thing we're paying for, about the minifigs it's pretty obvious that number-wise it will be an upgrade and quite possibly quality/design-wise too. So we'll see but personally I wasn't pleasantly surprised by that first leaked image. Quote
RichardGoring Posted May 1 Posted May 1 A load of the Creator 3 in 1 sets have leaked. Horse Knights Castle - main build looks good and I like the creativity of the alt builds, although I don't think they're as good as the previous 3 in 1 Black Falcon's castle. Some great minifigures. Haunted Mansion - Definitely draws from the Monster Fighters Haunted House and looks good for the piece count. Excellent minifigures. It's more of a facade than a mansion though, which is a bit of a shame, although nice interior details where there is any space for it. The alt builds are a train and a boat, which are good attempts, but I don't see many choosing to build them sadly. Beautiful Horse , with it's bear and deer alt builds would probably be good, but when I compare them with some of the other recent animals, it's not something that draws me in. Tropical Toucan, with a butterfly and tropical fish alt builds however, are superb. It's tempting to buy three, one for each build, especially at only $15! Retro Phone is clever, as are the alt builds of an original mobile/cordless and then a pair of flip/slab mobiles, but I suspect there is nothing really clever in the build and the end results don't interest me enough to display them. Quote
RichardGoring Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Oh, and the Unicorn Castle is leaked too. It looks lovely, but I can imagine it feeling very small in-person. The alt builds of a house and boat also look great, but again I fear they will feel unsatisfyingly compact. Quote
Robert8 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Whoa thats my favorite female vampire yet! It really is a throwback to both Monster Fighters and the CMFs Quote
Renny The Spaceman Posted May 1 Posted May 1 This is definitely a strong Creator wave, shame about some of the prices though. Yeah, I think most people agree with you there but it's undeniably exciting what this seeming uptick in budget can mean for the theme and allow Creator to do more high concept ideas that are less likely for LEGO to portray without minifigures. They wouldn't do a haunted house without minifigs so a lot of doors are opened by this Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Creator is a theme I usually ignore, but the haunted house and unicorn sets are must-buys! Love the new ghost piece which is a cross between the previous two pieces and the other monsters are really cool too, plus the downscaled cousin to the Monster Fighters set! And the unicorn set is beyond adorable. GIMME Quote
Black Falcon Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Creator 3in1 really has evolved lately, the animal/creature builds got way more realistic lately, and the increased amount of historic/fantasy builds and especially increased amount of minifigs really is doing the theme good. Quote
Lyichir Posted May 1 Posted May 1 So many good sets! The horse and toucan are both great with great alt builds. The haunted house is nice as well, and I love the thematically appropriate alt builds there (ghost train/ghost ship). Ditto for the retro phone with its old-school cordless phone and cell phones as alt builds. The unicorn castle is super cute and I love the bright candy-like colors, and the horse knight castle follows in the footsteps of the previous 3-in-1 castle by having two very distinct alt builds that look like they can connect together. danth Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Sometimes some good Creator 3-in-1 sets are revealed and I remember why I like Lego so much. The castle and haunted house look so good. Clean, classy designs, themed without any movie baggage, alt builds, (hopefully) no stickers. And the minifigs are spectacular. Creator is basically now a place to make sets from any past in-house theme. We have Castle, Vikings, Pirates, and now Monster Fighters. Still need Space though... What's cool is the castle "feels" like Castle even though it has all new factions in new colors. I'd KILL to get a Creator Space set like that...say something with trans purple windscreens and a new but "classic" feeling space minifig design. Quote

I really liked the Cyber Drone (except the color of the windshield) and I also hope we get more and larger Space inspired Creator 3-in-1 sets. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) RE: the haunted house. I don't need it. I don't need it. I definitely don't need it. ....I NEED IT! Also, the Beautiful Horse reminds me of the 'Majestic horse' April Fools prank LEGO did from two years back... well, at least the box of that prank somewhat matches! Anyone else feel the same?
