tedbeard Posted September 13, 2011 Really nice job on the Vickers machine gun and I like the use of the "log" elements snot-wise to line the trench.
lightningtiger Posted September 13, 2011 Well, I was wondering when someone would do a Gallipoli MOC, AWESOME machine gun and trench ! Your Turkish soldiers are great, sadly the Aussie's look too mish-mash, the officer on the far left looks the closest, the two in tan would be perfect in WWII either Egypt or PNG. Great work anyway and Brick On.....always remember the fallen.
Hartfan Posted September 13, 2011 Nicely done scene. I also like minifigs. Nice job !
Big Cam Posted September 14, 2011 A very simple scene, but it works well, there isn't too much, and not too little. I also did not know those plant pieces you have, came in grey.
Artizan Posted September 15, 2011 Thanks for the comments. Well, I was wondering when someone would do a Gallipoli MOC, AWESOME machine gun and trench ! Your Turkish soldiers are great, sadly the Aussie's look too mish-mash, the officer on the far left looks the closest, the two in tan would be perfect in WWII either Egypt or PNG. Great work anyway and Brick On.....always remember the fallen. You're right to a point, however throughout the campaign, Anzac adopted to less formal uniforms, sometimes even getting rid of their shirts, and cutting their trousers to half pants. A very simple scene, but it works well, there isn't too much, and not too little. I also did not know those plant pieces you have, came in grey. Yes, as doing a vignette, I didn't want to add tones of details that look messy in a small scene. I am not sure which set contains those grey plants, I ordered them from Bricklink. Saxon Posted September 15, 2011 Great creation! Turkish soldiers are awesome, British are also cool I would really love to see more World War One creations on EB, but sadly I very rarely see them here and I've just remembered an Iron Maiden verse that would go with this creation: Into the jaws of death we go...
