Captain Green Hair Posted July 19, 2009 Since i hadn't build anything castle ever since i was a kid, the MCC contest held by Rocko on Flickr was the perfect opportunity to build something. I call it 80's smackdown as i wanted to capture the feel of the old catalogs, with a bit of a modern touch. We get in th battle right at the point were the crusaders break out of their castle, before more Falcons come in through the breached wall. But wait, who is that in the tree? Right, it is Robin Hood and Little John and they are being cool. Just waiting for the battle to end and then rob the king after: More can be seen on Flickr. Hope you like it! Dragonator Posted July 20, 2009 Nice work CGH, we'll make a castle builder of you yet! You've included some nice details on the walls, I particularly like the crenelations. The wooden tower top gives some nice variety, as do the various constructions behind the wall. You've done a good job on the landscaping; I can't say I've seen a river done like that before. Teddy Posted July 20, 2009 What a great castle scene! Now I wish you had build the entire castle. The moat is great. I like the use of the plates with clip on the battlements. The wooden tower is great as well, as is the siege engine. It surely has the 80s vibe. (And I see Mr. Whiskers is up to no good.
