Mr_Malfoy Posted July 24, 2011 I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm planning to make 2 brickfilms of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2. I have most of it planned out, except for the giants who fights on Lord Voldemort's side during the Battle of Hogwarts . I've decided to ask everybody here what to use: the HP troll painted flesh, the tan giant ogre from Castle, brick-built, or not have them at all? Could a mod please add a poll? Thanks! Vindicare Posted July 24, 2011 I'd either go brick built or not at all. Depends on how good a builder you are, if they'd be discernible as such or not.
Oky Posted July 24, 2011 Hm... Well, out of those two choices, I'd go with the HP troll, but I agree with Legocrazy81 that it would be better if you build them yourself.
Hoboman Posted July 24, 2011 I vote for build your own as well. They are too large for either of the two other options you offered.
Miss Kyle Posted July 24, 2011 (edited) I personally love the ogres/trolls from the Castle line. They are pretty useless, but I have grown to like them for what they look like :D I mean really, who can resist these darlings? "I got ya some Oograh!" Captain Becker Posted July 24, 2011 I would say, use both of those first ones, but dont use brickbuil ones. Or if you like, you can use them all. It would be intresting t see how you would manage to make the brick build troll. Good luck whit the project. Captain Becker
Aredhel Posted July 24, 2011 I personally love the ogres/trolls from the Castle line. They are pretty useless, but I have grown to like them for what they look like :D I mean really, who can resist these darlings? "I got ya some Oograh!" I like those very much too... For the giants it is just the head which does not fit that great. The problem is that the body of the troll is really no good colour for giants. So maybe building by yourself is helpful...and then use the trolls head with hairparts that the blueish face is not seen that good... Or extend the Hagrid fig somehow -Aredhel
Mythos Posted July 24, 2011 What was the large figures that came out in a LEGO Castle series (Crayola Knights or something like that my Husband says) not so long ago? you can try those with a few changes.

A good model to use would be the midiland(totally forgot what they're called ). Check with member M<0><0<DSWIM he does excellent figs in that scale. Vindice Posted August 2, 2011 I've been thinking about this too. I don't think the trolls are any good for this. Looking forward to see your brickbuilt giants!
Vindicare Posted August 2, 2011 He calls them moodland scale figs, after his name. Ah, thank you. I suppose I mentioned two types then. I was referring to the figs Lego builds and has in their theme parks and such.
TheLegoDr Posted August 3, 2011 I've never heard of this moodland scale before, but I think that is definitely a neat idea for giants. I might try my hand at something like that. I don't think the trolls or ogres would work too well, just due to proportions. Can't wait to see the giants!
