Euphorine Posted March 13, 2016 This is the real dragons school of Elvendale as in the cartoon ! I work this, with the lego digital designer. Because the official LEGO® 41173 it's not the same and very too small. Do you like it ?
Lordofdragonss Posted March 13, 2016 Haha, I see I am not the only one here that needs bigger elven-arch piece, haha! I hope you will try to build it in real because the design looks great! I would make the left side a little longer to fit the second window though. And the spaces where you put stairs are used...for dragons to fly away! :D
Mandate Posted March 13, 2016 Very pretty. I groaned when I saw the title because normally LDD MOCs are very simplistic, but you've surprised me. I could see this as an actual LEGO set in stores, you've done an excellent job recreating the style. Are there any functions, though? Only thing missing from it
Marishka Posted March 13, 2016 Nice idea! Building seems solid. I think maybe adding some details as tree branches and fairy furniture would add much "elven" look.
Euphorine Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Thank you. That is most kind of you. Yes I needs bigger elven-arch piece ! Yes, that is true. There are no technical functions. And the blue roof is not long enough on the top. I work actually on this project. Edited March 13, 2016 by Euphorine
FortNerd Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) Wow, great job! But I have a question - how do you put stickers in LDD? Edited March 13, 2016 by FortNerd
Euphorine Posted March 13, 2016 Unfortunately you can not with LDD. Previously, I scanned the stickers. Then I retouched the images with Photoshop.
Iria Posted March 13, 2016 Very nice! You've done an excellent job in recreating the school. I think the tree would look better with a few more leaf pieces added. (Lego seems to never add enough leaves to their tree-based sets). Thanks for sharing. I'd love to make a MOC based off your creation someday.
OmShanti Posted March 13, 2016 Wow! Amazing work! I had similar ideas to expand, but haven't made the time yet. I'm always so impressed by your mocs, very well done.
gamejutzu Posted March 14, 2016 I always wondered, how is it a dragon school, if there is no space for dragons? Is there a backyard or open field outside?
Euphorine Posted March 14, 2016 Thank you all. @gamejutzu : In cartoon movie, I don't knows. It's closed, I think. As a real school.
ChristopheQ Posted March 14, 2016 Super job, how long does it takes you to do such cool build ? And as said by other comments, with a big purpely trees on each sides it will looks even more elfish and less lego friends
Euphorine Posted March 14, 2016 I work actually on Version 3 of dragon school with more trees, and a best blue roof. Many days are necessary for created LDD mocs. Because I'm never satisfied with the result.
FortNerd Posted March 14, 2016 LDD now has the decorative fence piece, you can update it :)
Euphorine Posted March 14, 2016 YES ! New update today with more bricks ! I like it ! But no dolls and pets and dragons Elves.
FortNerd Posted March 14, 2016 YES ! New update today with more bricks ! I like it ! But no dolls and pets and dragons Elves. Yeah... but at least the egg is there!
Euphorine Posted March 14, 2016 Yeah... this is a consolation gift.
gamejutzu Posted March 15, 2016 Oh... I didn't see the baby dragon in the first build. I guess that works too.
Euphorine Posted March 15, 2016 Dragons school of Elvendale. Version
OmShanti Posted March 15, 2016 OMGosh! Amazing modifications! I would definitely buy this, and it's so good, it could be official. I just adore the stairs, the interior is so detailed, the addition of the tree is excellent, and the fence piece looks so elegant in white. You did a lovely job on this. I would love to rebuild it with actual bricks.
Euphorine Posted March 15, 2016 (edited) Thank you very much ! 1027 bricks. If you buy this in LEGO Shop. I think the cost +250 euros. Edited March 15, 2016 by Euphorine
BenA Posted March 15, 2016 I love this too. I really like all the details you've captured from the cartoon, like the coloured seats, the bell and the purple trees. I also like that you've really captured the art style from the sets. In LDD too!
SWNELoveAngel Posted March 23, 2016 Really good start on expanding the Elvendale School of Dragons! I've tried out the LDD ---- how do you change the color of a piece from red to a different color? I'm also working on figuring out how to expand the set [for now, just from looking at the pictures of how it looked in the "Dragons In Danger To Save" movie; I do plan to buy two of the set ---- however first, I need to collect sets from last year]. I hope to see someone else also working on figuring out how to expand the Starlight Inn, sometime soon --- because so far, the official set just gives us the main doorway, and a side door, and part of the upstairs; plus a cellar/storm shelter. Sorrelon Posted March 23, 2016 Amazing work! As for the bigger arch, while it isnt a whole lot bigger, this might be a bit better than using two 76768 arch pieces: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=14707&name=Brick,%20Arch%201%20x%2012%20x%203%20Raised%20Arch&category=%5BBrick,%20Arch%5D#T=C
