I know but you know TLC minifig helmet accuracy? Remember with the ARC we got the wrong sort of helmets. Anyway I think this trooper will come in another set be it Y-Wing or not.

@ 30 bricks = 1 shiny brick: I think they are talking about UCS Naboo starfighter bricks and not Castle helmet bricks. If yes I am very surprised that the Indy truck chase has 16 of such bricks.

They weren't chrome though, they were silver like the castle helmets, the lightsaber hilts in the pic and the silver parts in the agents sets.

I had an idea for the solar sailor. If they made a new large dome piece (I know the sail isn't a dome really) they coul dalso use it for Sandy's House in the Sponge Bob line. I think TLC will probably just make something similar to that MOC with Dooku, Greivous and Magna guards (explains where those new Magna guards are from)

That would make alot of sense kill two birds with one stone. but the sail in the movie went inside the sailor.

I know but you just take it off and pretend it is inside. I doubt a large cloth piece would work but how a bout see through plastic like the Geonosian wings?

The Solar Sailor would be extremely difficult, all because of those sails.

The plastic used in the Geonosian wings would be good, but also very stiff, and hard to packed into the set. You also face the worry of creases. Being packed into the set, and left that way for some time, once it is let back out again, you no longer have the perfect shape you once had.

You also face the problem of the cockpit, which is basically a large sphere. Perhaps they could pull off something similar to the cockpit of the Rogue Shadow, with just the 1 translucent dome in the front.

I think the translucent dome is most likely. The plastic sheet could be folded up into quarters to be packaged how it actually folds. However when on the ship you probably couldn't fold it up because that plastic isn't that soft and so would just have to be taken off.

Oh come on! :hmpf_bad: Judging from this reference pic, the sails would have to be humongous if the model was to be in the least accurate! So, I really don't think TLC will even try to add a sail to it. :sadnew: And I don't hope so either, since that would raise the price of it drastically. :sceptic:

But if they would make a sail, I could imagine it to be made out of a light Technic construction and four giant versions of the old surf sails (the ones made out of the material of the Geonosians' wings), each one making up a quarter of the sail. Remember: the sail isn't round, it's oval. So, some kind of dome wouldn't make sense at all.

Honestly, though, I really don't care for the sail or about how accurate this set would be, since I would only buy it as a parts pack and for the minifigs. I hope the rumor about it being released is true, though. I also hope it's true that it will come with 2 Magna Guards and will be a rather cheap set, kinda like the Geo. Fighter set ($20-$30). :sweet:

bear in mind that LEGO isn't that accurate when it come to size. But I guess it will have some good minifigs in. I hope the new Dooku if there is one has a face not so low down on the head. Although he may look weird with the beard he has in the animated file/TV series unless a new mold cam into play which is unlikely.

That is true. TLG has never been entirely accurate when designing their sets. One example of this is the Clone Scout Walker, or AT-RT. It was too large for a minifigure, and had to be tiny compare to the Turbo Tank.

And for the Sailor to be accurate, it'd have to be massive, because some pics have shown it to have living quarters and other rooms inside of it.

Wow were having an arument about the size of a fictional object.

Cool I beleive something 18 feet could house living quaters My parents owned a 25 foot boat for a wile and there was room to spare. Plus beds and a kitchen and a toilet.

but now that I'm realizing how big this set is going to be I'm becoming less interested.

Wow were having an arument about the size of a fictional object

Then we look it up on Wookiepedia.^^

Length 15.2 meters

105.16 meters with sail deployed

Width 4.6 meters

Height/depth 4.8 meters

I believe LEGO will not even try to put a sail in. Maybe we get instruction for doing a the sail by ourselves.^^

Nice you found the first pic. When I first saw it I though it was Obi-Wan's but then I saw the figs. The starfighter looks too short in my opinion as well as they have the old cruddy Buzz Droid design. The new astromech look pretty nice too as well as the new vulture droid in dark blue.

Price: 55 euros in EU

44 GBP for that!

The similar 7256 Jedi Starfighter and Vulture Droid from 2005 was only about 20 pounds!

Lets hope that rumour is wrong!

Not a bad looking set, however.

Wow! Finally some more finalized pics! And the first one of Ahsoka's Fighter! Sweet! Looks better than I thought, especially with that new astromech  but I still wont get it, I think. The new Mace looks great! :oh: I'm so glad they changed it! :cry_happy: And looks like Yoda will be Clone Wars style after all. I prefer the old one, but this one's kinda cute. As the Penguin pointed out, the SBDs seem to have the new rocket launcher arms! That's kinda cool. Still no stickers for the droid BP though.

I will get one assassin droid BP, 4 clone BPs, one AAT, and one shuttle if I can! :sweet:

Thank you so much Skipper!

Commander kittens remarks on the new pictures:

1. Ashoka's starfighter looks very similar to Anakins starfighter (CWs) It has the same hole for the droid and could possibly pop out.

2. The vulture droid looks a little better with the stickers thats it.

3. It looks like we have 2 battle droids in this set and a new face for yoda (it kinda looks like someone had drawn that on MS paint). It is likely that there is an interior for this AAT because it is not seen on the box art.

4. Mace has a new face!

5. All the jedi have shiny lightsaber hilts Yipeeee

Thank you for the nice big pics. The most sets looks good enough for me.

And Yoda has finally eyes. The Astrodroid from Ashoka is also nice.
