  1. Please make only ONE post in the sticky thread titled: EB members Trading Collectible Minifigs Portal (TCMP). You may use this page to advertise any updates in your TCMP post. Thanks for your cooperation. Dear Admins and Moderators, If I may be so bold to make this suggestion... the collectible minifigure trading topic in the BST section is now 30+ pages long and navigating through it is like flipping through a phone book. All jokes aside, I would like to see a condensed version of the topic with everybody's wants/haves compiled into a single topic. That way, a quick word search can make trading a lot easier and enjoyable. I will be more than happy to compile everybodys' list. -Donut

    Which set should I buy?

A cheaper alternative to acquiring the turtles is to buy the keychains and pull out the pin on the top. The downside is a hole on the top of the fig head and the fig's legs are glued to the torso.

    What's your latest acquisition?

That's some great cat-mouflage and looking forward to seeing what you think about the set.
  5. Thank you for your effort in bringing us reviews on this new theme, I enjoyed reading your commentary. For the cost of this set, the gatehouse is a bit underwhelming. I would have loved to see more meat in the design. That being said, the figs printings are great. I am a big fan of the new battle helmet for the horse and I may get a few more off of BL. My opinion on the barding is going to be biased - It looks alright but not great. It's a little hard for me to accept this change since I am so used to the old design. Maybe it's just me, but what do you other castle enthusiasts think?

    Disney franchises selective?

Disney does look like it has the lion's share of the liscensing pie - that is if you count SW among the liscenses it owns. I am sure TLC does not want 1 company to monopolize sales, but the success of the other liscenses rests in how well their media counterpart is received among kids. LOTR is a proven winner among AFOLs though I am not sure how well TMNT will do. In some ways TMNT is very similar to Ninjago (a theme TLC have invested a lot of $ in marketing) in their bulky vehicles, fantasy like characters, and the general ninja theme. In regards to your second point, I am sure both Disney and TLC does extensive research on how appealing their products will be to their target audiences. And like you've said, they can't fulfill all expectations which is why we had PoP going on clearance at all major stores.
  7. Thanks for sharing the deal. It looks like BOGO applies only to Galaxy Squad and City sets.

I can also confirm that the b-wing will be half off this weekend. The set didn't really sell all that well.

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion

I can somewhat relate to your frustration as I am waiting on the release of the comic con exclusive figures into the mainstream sets. We can only hope for the longevity of this theme so that more figures get released. On another note, does anyone know when preorder begins or when the video game officially hits the shelf?

just2good, you should be renamed just2fast! Thanks for doing the video reviews, I am definetely going to pick up one of each set from shop@home. Oh and Michelangelo's weapon is the nun-chuck. If anyone else is looking into buying the sets from TRU, they're doing a promotion with Wendy's. You get a $10 gift card if you spend $75 on toys. If anyone is interested here's the link to the info.

EB's Super Hero Comic Cover Contest Voting Thread!

So many great entries so this was very hard for me to narrow it down to these 3. 1 by wonderpuddle - 1 point 9 by Captain Nemo - 1 point 15 by MstrOfPppts - 1 point wonderpuddle; I really liked your brick-built Justice League members. Captain Nemo; Instantly recognizable and a job well done on creating a brick version of Mad Love. MstrOfPppts; Nicely done on the shadowy figure on the other side of the door. Good luck to everyone who entered!

  15. Hey everyone, Just an update here, we have only 21 days left in the fundraiser drive and we have raised over $4000 thus far! 16. Earlier this week I received some Fabuland figures from a friend of mine and together with the two that I had since childhood, my small collection is up to five . I hope to expand my collection in the near future, but for the time being I want to take good care of the ones I have. As of now, two of the figs have worn out printings. You can slightly tell from this low quality picture that both the elephant's eye and raccon's nose are a little worn out. What is the best method to restore the printings? Would a fine tip Sharpie pen be sufficient for this job? Also are Fabuland figures detachable like a standard minifgure? I tried removing the head of the racoon but it didn't seem to budge. I am afraid that I damaged the integrity of the figure. Thanks in advance!

    Bricklink questions

I would say 3-4 business days is a very lenient amount of time to give a seller to ship your order. Sometimes the seller may have forgotten to update your shipping status so you may want to send them a message to inquire about it. Also here in the USA, we celebrated memorial day on Monday (28th), so the post office was closed.
  19. Set#: 7189-1 Name: Mill Village Raid Theme: Kingdoms Release: June 2011 Pieces: 663 Minifigs: 6 MSRP: 69.99 USD Front View Back View Contents in the box: 7 bags + 2 green plates 2 Instruction booklets, both of which were bent. The mini figures and most importantly, the new animals. Rotate the windmill through the crank located in the back. The fruit basket can be brought down by spinning the "rooster compass" (what's the official name for that?)located on the top of the mill. The mill opens up. Very reminiscent of the Majisto's Magic Workshop set. Back of both buildings. Verdict Playability: 9/10 ((3 "bad guys" + 3 villages + animals) on farm = awesome ) Design: 9/10 (Nice set, complements MMV very well) Price: 6/10 (Fair pricing .) Overall: 8/10 (A set not just for Castle fans) And with that I'll leave you with my version of a raid. Acknowledgments: I would like to thank my friend Nannan Zhang, who generously donated his time and camera editing skills into making this review. Thanks for reading!

    eBay Auction Help, Please

The most affordable method to ship is using your local post office, USPS First Class International Mail. You can calculate the postage cost from this website. Shipping cost varies by weight and location (with Australia being the most expensive). This method does not include insurance, if your buyer requests it you'll have to ship through the more expensive options (like the prices you've found online).
