  1. I am looking for a descent mid-range camera (at least 1080p) to replace my smartphone's camera, and I'd like to know what you have/are using. So my question is simple: What camera do you use to film your videos of your MOCs? If you use more than one, please list all of them, or if you have upgraded to a higher-end camera, please list both your new one and your old one(s).
  2. While looking to buy a PF V2 receiver (58123bc01) I realized that it is only in 9398 and 41999 (both 4x4 crawlers), but is not in later sets like 42030 and 42065. I have been confused by this because I thought that it was suppose to replace the old receiver (58123c01). One thing I thought was that the insides were changed but they didn't have V2 printing, but why I don't know. Hopefully someone knows what's going on!
  3. This was originally designed to be the smallest RC car to use a buggy motor, but it soon became an extremely powerful car capable of drifting. I refined the chassis design over 2 prototypes, and then tried multiple combinations of gear ratios and different sizes of wheels to achieve the best speed. The result: this MOC you are looking at right now! Driven by buggy motor, geared 1:1.25 Steered by PF servo Hidden power switch on underside LDcad/POV-Ray animation Video: http://bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/drift-racer-chassis/video.mpg Instructions: http://www.rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-8835/mocbuild101/2wd-drift-racer-chassis 3D File http://www.bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/drift-racer-chassis/2WD Drift Racer 3D file.mpd
  4. Wow time has gone by fast, I just realized the last MOC I built was for TC15, and that was about a year ago! Hopefully I'll have time to enter, I've got a few nice ideas this time...
  5. Congratulations to everyone, especially the winners, which were amazing builds Bit disappointed I couldn't enter this time, but hopefully I'll be able to when TC17 comes around around...
  6. 2: 10 1: 6 8: 4 3: 3 4: 2 6: 1 Very surprised by how few entries there were, but at least that's made it easier for me Good luck everyone!
  7. Very nice! When I was originally considering whether I would enter TC16, this was exactly what I was thinking of building! Glad I didn't, because you've done a much better job than I would have
  8. Nice, don't know if it's a contest for me, but it could be fun...
  9. You mean something a bit like this? https://www.sheepo.es/2014/12/modular-all-terrain-platform-jeep-willys.html?m=1 I agree, though I don't really care which comes first, as they'd both be fun.
  10. This MOC came about from my wanting of a super compact all-in-one Lego compressor, and after trying many different auto valve designs (and about a week of building), this is what I came up with: Video: Features: Air tank Automatic pressure switch M motor and 6L mini pump compressor Very compact 15 x 11 x 7 stud size Easy removal of battery box Pneumatic tube lengths: 1x 3L (2.4cm) 2x 10L (8cm) 1x 14L (11.2cm) All the pneumatic tube lengths listed above (and most of the other parts) are available in 8110-1 Unimog U400. Instructions are available on Rebrickable. The compressor uses a single 6L mini pneumatic pump, but can easily be modified for two pumps. The automatic cut-off pressure can easily be adjusted by changing the strength of the rubber bands attached to the pneumatic cylinder.
  11. Well for that it should be quite efficient, as it would have periods where it would be off, and saving power. My advice would be to do some experiments to see how much air it uses, and maybe even add a second air tank, so that when it's full (and not running), it would have a longer time before it turns back on.
  12. To be honest I really don't know, but I'd assume that it would last longer for creations that don't use much air.
  13. I've used Lego for many things, but most commonly for custom camera supports, such as the one that I use to film the intro for my YouTube videos (which let my usual camera tripod hold my phone), and another one that got it's own video.

Review the LEGO Set Above You!

@Nexogeek I couldn't agree more, Agents was just such a well done theme, with all of the sets having just the right mix of details and play features. I just recently bought the last set to complete my collection of agents, and like you, I still like it just as much as when I was younger. Nice, but to me it seemed like it was too focused on battling sea creatures than Atlantis itself. Still, it did have some nice designs... 7/10 Next theme: Ninja

    HELP! ! !

I've actually already answered this question:

Survey: New parts and new colors

The red and black ones look like they could be useful, but I agree with @Lyichir on the other ones...

    HELP! ! !

That still doesn't explain why it's working for me though... Edit: Except the images for The Pirate Bay linked above, which I can't see...

    HELP! ! !

That's strange, I have no issues whatsoever... And the image you posted isn't showing for me...

    HELP! ! !

It could be a issue with the smaller (thumbnail) versions - try clicking on the image (zoom in) and then copy the image. 20. Just finished making some renders: (first two made with Blender, last one made with Stud.io, both gifs created with ImageMagick)
  21. It's finally here - my studless remake of the very first Technic helicopter: It's been a bit of a long journey to get here, not only because of the work put into this model, but also because of the many failed TC15 entry ideas... Originally, I had planed on building a replica of the Hoversurf S3 2019 Hoverbike (which is basically a quadcopter you can ride on), but the small size of Lego propellers restricted me to such a small size, that I just couldn't fit any functions into it. Next, continuing the idea of some sort of quadcopter, I did some googling for other quadrotor aircraft, and although I managed to find some (in particular, the Curtiss-Wright VZ-7 and X-19), that idea also failed... Then, after a few days of thinking, I decided to just make something completely different - a flight simulator, based on the 8485 Technic Control Center. With this idea, I actually managed to make enough progress to post a WIP topic, and stuck with it for a several weeks, until I sadly had to abandon that as well... Finally, after trying and abandoning a few other ideas, and with only a few weeks left before the contest deadline, I stumbled across the idea of making a modern studless version of set 852 - the very first Technic helicopter, and one of the original four Technic sets released in 1977: Fast forward 3 weeks, the contest deadline has thankfully extended by 2 weeks (thanks @Jim ), and I've finally finished building... Features: Full studless construction - not a single stud in sight! Near perfect 3/4 scale (relative to the original set). Accurate collective rotor pitch control - unlike the original, where the rotor pitch is decreased when the swash plate rises. Manually powered drive train - can also be motorized, as seen in the video. 22. I know, but like @nerdsforprez said, it's just another form of advertising/marketing. Also, we already had this discussion in the last BuWizz competition...

    Power Function Rechargeable Battery 8878

Lego could possibly make a rechargeable battery that replaces the battery holder (and possibly the entire bottom) of the PU controller, just like what was done for the NXT and EV3 batteries. Also, we still don't know the details of the new Control+ coming in 42099 and 42100 - for all we know, it could have a built-in rechargeable battery, just like BuWizz.
  24. Because they build LPEs (Lego Pneumatic Engines) instead:
