  1. A Neo Fabuland Train Station This build is part of a larger display I'm developing for exhibition next year, where I'll be revisiting and expanding on the concept of Neo Fabuland—a reinterpretation of the classic Fabuland aesthetic, much like how Neo-Classic Space draws inspiration from the original Classic Space theme. If you're curious, you can read more about the goals of the project here. I currently have several builds in progress for this display, and this is the second one to be completed. This build is not inspired by an existing Fabuland set. It features a stucco rendered brick train station building with a tiled roof on a stone platform perched on a hilltop. The build includes a cutaway bridge underpass and rounded rocks as well as my spreading tree technique. The train in this build is based on the engine from 910035 Logging Railway and also showcases my approach to Neo Fabuland windows, using brick-built frames with vinyl-cut sticker panes to echo the distinctive charm of original Fabuland designs.
  2. I found a really cool YouTube channel with Lego-inspired Vaporwave music. https://www.youtube.com/@dreamcastleTM They have Castle, Fabuland, and Bionicle inspired albums/tracks among others.
  3. "What is that? That is no ordinary raven!" is one of the many phrases uttered by passing travelers when the raven flies near by. The wizard has trained one of the large ravens to deliver his letters and magic scrolls to far away kingdoms, in search for more knowledge. The Raven is also specialized in finding grimoires when the wizard accompanies it, or when it is delivering letters to fellow mages. The Wizard and the Raven by Ids de Jong, on Flickr -- Built for the "Beast Masters" category of the Summer Joust 2024.
  4. Hello! I have been looking at the new little guys in Dreamzzz and got to thinking about all the "odd" figures over the years since the Minifigure was introduced. From 4 Junior's Jack Stone, Basic & Fabuland, the variety of figures from Belville, Technic and the Bionicle/Hero Factory minifig scaled characters... Really, from A to Xalax. There has been a lot of the non standard figures (I liked the Elves Goblins, Rock Monsters from Power Miners and the Game board minis quite a lot also). So, opinions? Like 'em, Love 'em? Loath the figures appearing at all? Just to nip anything in the bud: Minidolls can count in here but after so many consistent years in production I would say they are not odd figures when compared with all the others I have mentioned above. Figures that have appeared for a while, even just one theme, and are now gone.
  5. The pumpkin harvest is in full swing in Fabuland. Pumpkin Harvest by Ids de Jong, on Flickr
  6. Look out Fabuland! Ernie Elephant has a new ride! Gotta duck out of his way if you don't want to get hit! This is built in the style of Neo-Fabuland, which I found from Harris Bricks. I love Fabuland. I don't even have any sets, just the figures (look at what this website turned me into haha). But I've been wanting to do a fun Fabuland MOC and this was it. The left building is also a neo-mod of 3674 Bonny Bunny's New House. Also, this will be at Brickworld Chicago 2022! Poor Copmike Enjoy! And as always comments and criticism are most welcome!
  7. From the faraway land of Fabulandia comes Percival Pig, the leader of this group of adventures. Fabulandia Adventures by Ids de Jong, on Flickr
  8. It seems that the next Lego house set is Fabuland themed I wonder how it would look, even if there is still a lot of Fabuland parts around, none of the figs are Is it possible to reprint some of the Animal Crossing ones? https://jaysbrickblog.com/news/next-lego-house-exclusive-set-teases-a-fabuland-connection/ https://www.newelementary.com/2025/02/lego-house-new-for-2025-lego-fabuland.html
  9. After gathering, but before the acorns can be safely stored away, the mice of the forest stand guard by their important food source. Protecting the acorns by Ids de Jong, on Flickr
  10. I posted this in Sci-Fi but isn't it technically Fabuland? More pictures on Flickr!
  11. Hello, I made a sculpture of the Fabuland Elephant figure. I have created instructions as well, which I was considering selling online for a small fee. Does anyone have experience of selling instructions online, and have any advice?
  12. Built for TrickyLUG’s Fab Max: Furry Road collaborative build.
  13. This is a build I had an idea to create, thinking I should make a car having spent the past few months making larger structures and buildings. A little creativity refresh for me. So of course, wanting to build a nice little car I decided to make a Fabuland style Deora. A staple of the Hot Wheels line-up and a retro design I love. Keeping it simple for myself!
  14. I designed and built my latest Lego vehicle, ā€œBilly Goat’s Steamboat,ā€ for Eurobricks’ bonus collaboration, ā€œThe Great GOAT Boat Race,ā€ displayed at Brickworld Chicago 2019. The steamboat is my first boat MOC since childhood. There were no rules for this collab except that it had to be a boat featuring a goat. The hull was modified from an earlier MOC, Joker’s Blimp (lower right), but in place of cross axle supports inside, I used 11x11 quarter gears (upper right), anchored apart by a couple layers of plates to hold the shape. Underneath there are wheels to easily move the boat, however the total weight kept Billy Goat’s boat from gathering enough steam to move from the pair of independently rotating PF-enabled paddle wheels. Oh well, such is the the typical pitfall of designing entirely in LDD prior to testing with real bricks. Billy Goat’s Steamboat was nominated for Best Sea Vessel at Brickworld Chicago 2019.
  15. I just realized there's a subforum for comics, how cool is that? I'd like to post this thing I'm making. To be continued!
  16. Hey everyone, here's a new thing I'm making: To be continued (soon!)... EDIT: I just realized there's a subforum for comics, I'll post this there, maybe a mod can remove this one. Sorry about that!
  17. Hello again! In April, i presented to you my first moc. Since then, i managed to acquire some Fabuland parts, so i made some modifications. Here you go, hope you like it! (I am still an absolute beginner builder, just trying to build because i love Fabuland.) Many thanks if you decide to add your opinion! More pics in my album.
  18. Hi all :) I have these Fabuland items for anyone interested. What you see is what you get. William Walrus is unfortunately unable to stand and it's all wobbly. I will ship via tracked post with proper packing. I will trade with Technic parts, City sets or pretty much anything as a matter of fact. If you don't want to trade, you may through Paypal. Just make an offer :) https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=3794-1 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=3791-1/ Thanks for looking and have a nice summer! (Those who are on the northern part of our planet, others should enjoy the snow!)
  19. Hidden entrance or just an old collapsed mountain side ? Don't take the rockwork here to serious as the top of this cube wont be finished till the surrounding cubes are done. Still the entrance is here ! Spider Attack !! No problem for a level 5 wizard ! Dead spiders equals loot ! The treaure ain't out of reach at all ! Diablo interface: Diablo cube - First installment: Again - The top of this cube still needs a lot of work. Will be done when I have the surrounding cubes at hand at somewhat fitted to this one. Now, I actually thought that this would have been the next finished installment of my Cube Layout Project: However, once I started to build the Diablo interface, I could'nt stop. I Really wanted to have the Diablo interface as my first installment for the Diablo, world of Warcraft and Baldurs gate installment's I have planned for this project. I also needed to know how many studs high it had to be, in order to fit the surrounding cubes with the track layout in order to make it all fit. Now, I dont even know what will be the next installment. My Cube layout project consist of cubes 34x34 studs. This in order to be able to put a baseplate on top and still have an one plate edge, in order to be economical with my bricks. Also it makes it quite easy to adjust hight of every cube as i move along with the project. Now a bit of what I have planned for, to have fun here, and getting back into building again. Installments planned: Doctor Who - Gas and Snacks - T.A.R.D.I.S - ( Can be found here ). Doctor Who - Gas and Snacks - T.A.R.D.I.S - Small continuation - ( Planning ) Doctor Who - T.A.R.D.I.S train ( offcourse :P ) - ( Planning ) Fabuland - Fabuland settlement ( Building ) Matrix reloaded ( building ) Matrix revolutions ( planning - somewhat testing build ) Diablo ( a collaboration of Diablo, Baldurs gate, World of warcraft ) - ( this one ) World of warcraft - Arriving at Ironforge ( Can be found here ) World of warcraft ( a collaboration of Diablo, Baldurs gate, World of warcraft ) - ( building ) War against the Cthoor. ( Planning ) Call of Cthulhu. The LEGO movie. Who know's what's next ? ! Hope you like it. KlodsBrik
  20. Hello! I do not have many bricks, because i am a minifig collector, but i love Fabuland- so i wanted to build something for Frank Fox (my Fabu SigFig/ mini- me). This is what i came up with. Planning to do more Fabuland. [I didn't make a MOC in the past few years. Some years ago i remember creating some kind of pirate ship, but other than that i only built stuff more than ten- fifteen years ago. When i was a child i mainly built spaceships.] The original version: IMG_20160401_110852 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160401_111102 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr The updated version: IMG_20160806_103110 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103324 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr IMG_20160806_103228 by Erhard Maas, on Flickr

  24. I have made some additions to my Fabuland village, and this is how I displayed it at my LUG's annual event (PĆ„ Kloss Hold - PKH) last weekend. A little botanical garden. Narrow track train. Although I couldn't run it during the show, as it would just derail on the curves Still experementing a bit with the water techniques here. The windmill is supposed to run, eventually... More pictures on flickr, although most of them are from my previous time displaying it (but most of the buildings are the same as then).
