  1. Hello everyone! I'm glad to present you my new MOC - the starfighter. Thank you for your attention!
  2. [begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - High] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Spaceport 8 - "Bed for Spaceship," Nar Eubrikka] It cost us most of our credits and 3 astromech droids, but we've secured a small Home in the form of an abandoned Hangar deep in the swamps of Nar Eubrikka. It's actually not far from [REDACTED] which makes supply runs a breeze. It's called "bed for spaceship" in Huttese, but the official Designation was "Hangar 8." The swamps remind me of growing up on Gelgelar...but it's much warmer here... We spent the first few days checking out the surroundings, before bringing the ship down for repairs.... "The Ship" being the new HV-37 Prototype Heavy Starfighter..... We assembled her from the Remnants of an A/SF-01 "B-wing," a burned out half of a V-19 "Torrent" and an old H-60 "Tempest." The twin Slayn & Korpil JZ-5 Fusial Thrust Engine Clusters give her an incredible amount of both power and maneuverability. Needless to say, it's taken a great deal of follow up maintenance to fully integrate the systems of all the donor craft... Not to mention the repairs the Hangar itself needed.... Even with one bad circuit...we were able to get the fuel to flow.... [END TRANSMISSION] ========================================== Thanks for visiting!
  3. I'll post more shots later when I get the chance, however for now I'll give a shot of the finally completed model. This took me a lot of time to get it how I felt passable. Especially how there are a lot of Allied Avenger inspired spacecraft. Finally in the last few days, I have completed it after much editing, probably the longest time yet I've spent fiddling about with one moc! GenX probably sounds odd to some, however it just seemed to fit for me. I'll post more pictures soon, hope you enjoy this for now and like the model.
  4. When I acquired set 9495 when it was released, I thought it was the perfect Y-Wing. A few years later, I decided to do my own version. Here's what I came up with: One important detail I wanted was for the astromech droid to be able to sit perpendicular to the ship: For the engines, I kept the original 9495 nacelle and engine assembly, but bulked it up with several greebled plates. I really liked the bomb-dropping feature of 9495, so I installed it in my MOC. I hope you like it!
  5. Sector: E01 Tags: Military, Building, Vehicle, Spaceship, Land Vehicle Begin Log: I've got him cornered! This could be it for Octan! All he has is one trooper. I can easily take them both. Master Data, this is Lord Mantis! Pause the simulation. We need you down here now! There's been a leak in one of the fuel cells. If it reaches the central power battery, this entire building will explode, crippling our operations in this sector. IR-wIN is taking care of it right now. IR-wIN: Already dispatched alien mechanic and rescue pod. How did that saw blade get stuck there in the first place? Don't ask! We need you to take out the new fighter to pick up some more power battery cells. The energy used to fix the fuel cell will probably deplete our last reserves. Alright, Howie, prime the fighter! End Log Well, I'm back (for now)! I wanted to come back with a bang, so I went to the extreme: 48x48. I also introduced IR-wIN and Lord Mantis. My studio couldn't hold the model, so my overhead shots aren't the best, but I hope you enjoy it!
  6. Second set for separation =) Like, comment, subscribe if You enjoyed this video.
  7. This creation was inspired by Nick Trotta’s mind blowing starfighters, and is an entry into the Mystery Bag category of the 2016 MOCAthalon. For the category I had 5 parts that I had to include in the build: Plate 1×2 with Door Rail, Barb Large Flexible, Brick 1×1 with Headlight, Plate with Angular Extension, and the Scorpion. I’d been wanting to do a star-fighter for a while and given the required parts selection, a star-fighter in the shape of a scorpion seemed like the obvious choice. See more pictures on my website: link Thanks for looking, feedback always welcome
  8. Hello everyone. Here is my third and final entry for the Revenge of the Sith Community Build: Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter. My previous entries can be found here and here. About a month ago, Jason C. Hand posted this: his own updated version of seniorgronk's Delta-7 Aethersprite-class Interceptor, commonly known as the 'Jedi Starfighter'. Seeing that inspired me to have a go myself, and here is the result... I started with the stock JSF model that was seen piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Attack of the Clones, and then modded it to make the version seen being used by Plo Koon in Revenge of the Sith. Unfortunately, and very sadly, the Jedi Master was shot down while flying this ship by his comrade Captain Jag, when Chancellor Palpatine commanded the execution of Order 66. I have, of course, made a few mods and recolours to the ship which I will post shortly, so stay tuned! LXF File (warning - due to some possible dodgy techniques according to LDD, the file is subject to slow performance and crashes) Please do not re-use the file or images without my permission. Thank you for looking. All comments are welcome.
  9. This build is for the Interstellar Outpost contest on Flickr. The idea is to build a one-man starfighter, landing pad, ground support vehicle, and comm station that together form a space outpost. I don't build sci-fi a lot, so this was a good challenge. After so many Castle builds, using lots of bright colors was really fun. The starfighter's wings rotate with a twist of the knob on top, to switch between flight and hover/landing mode; it also has a functional landing gear. The tanker truck has working steering (also operated by the knob on top) and 'suspension'. The comm station has a full interior and the landing pad doubles as a storage area. And just for fun, a picture with the colors inverted: See more pictures here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=324 C&C welcome
  10. First of all, happy 2014 everyone! What better way to kick the New Year off with a new MOC. Not just that, what you are about to see is pretty much a fresh format, almost like a reboot. Now that POV-Ray is working well, it means that the detail is much more real compared to the old method of just using LDraw snapshots, making it almost cartoony, in some ways it does look cool and old school, however I’d much prefer it looking more real. The logos have also been given a revamp and made sleeker with an overall less excess baggage look, hopefully you’ll enjoy seeing the changes as much as I enjoyed working on them come together. Right, my next MOC you might recognise is a modern nod to a certain older Blacktron ship design Lego released in 91, and one of their best in my view. There have been modern remakes of it, however I felt it was a good idea to break the mould a bit and make a bit of a different design approach. I give you the Blacktron Revenger, while small, it makes up for it in sheer speed, agility and flexibility of being able to pretty much fit in and be a use anywhere. The fastest single piloted craft in the galaxy. Four powerful weapon heads on each of the four wings, and with top secret research and development by mischievous Blacktron scientists, the ship can fire either lasers or torpedo’s, or for even more it can fire all four lasers into one to make a more powerful destructive beam. Yellow Version And as a further extra, some more generations of it. Future Generation Version Yes I know, it rendered trans yellow, although I thought it looked pretty cool and a bit different but still looking like Future Generation so I kept it like that, they look more trans yellow in the catalogue pictures too to my eyes. Blacktron 3 Version My personal take on the Blacktron 3 look. And finally some space shots. There are a lot of pictures so the rest can be seen in this link. I also while I was at it revamped the last few MOC’s that just used the less detailed LDraw picture format. Anyway, enjoy!
  11. It has been a while since I have shown anything, I'll admit I don't think this one is anything special, it is more filler if anything, although because the Star Wars windscreens went together well and the drill weapon on the front was ok, I suppose a craft is a craft at the end of the day and I found it passable enough at least to make it a nifty fighter. I am however looking forward to showing what I have coming after this over time, as I am much happier with them, it's only just about to get better, and if I can get POV-Ray to work as said before in other threads then even better. Anyway, I present this time the Blacktron Stealth. Original Vintage Yellow Space Shots Enjoy!
  12. Vic Viper Starfighter build for Novvember 2013 challenge in flickr vic viper group. A quick build for Novvember 2013 warm up, non reference based but I try to capture the essential aesthetics of Gradius Vic Viper which are dual forward prongs, two side wings and single tail fin. 14. This is my another Vic Viper Starfighter build for Novvember 2013 challenge in Flickr Vic Viper group. Also a rough quick build, non reference original gradius model based. First time using the canopy for my starfighter build and also tried "dark green-black-reddish brown" colours combo which I think would add fierce military looks on this starfighter. Comments and inputs are always welcome for improvement. Cheers Full resolution pics : http://www.flickr.co...otos/toms_hart/
  15. I've not really done anything Classic Space MOC wise and thought this would be a good chance to do one with the recent Lego Movie and return of classic space and space somewhat in general with the sets that are going to be released, which I'll be buying for my collection. Anyway, while I like the large Spaceship (70816), I personally prefer the smaller one as seen in the promo poster in this thread. I decided to make my own version/interpretation of it. It is different from the Lego version as I like to make my stuff streamlined, as well as some of the details being a bit different, however hopefully it stays faithful to the original while also offering a personal flavour to it. Here it is, I'll get more pictures up in time. Hope you like it.
  16. A British newspaper, the Daily Mail, will soon be running a Lego promotion. You can see the polybags that will be part of the promo here: http://brickset.com/sets/list-10595 The 30247 ARC-170 Starfighter is pretty rare. I believe it's never been available in North America or continental Europe. If you're interested in any of these, please: 1. express your interest by posting below, and 2. PM me to let me know specifically what you're after and if you want to buy or trade. I'm after: - a sealed Iron Man polybag ( http://brickset.com/sets/30167-1/Iron-Man-vs-Fighting-Drone ) - the Hulk big fig (both trouser colours) in mint condition - the Taskmaster minifig in mint condition - the Neimoidian Warrior minifig ( http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sw536 ) in mint condition. I'll also take payment by Paypal. I charge postage and packing at cost and send to the US, Canada, most but not all of Western Europe (including the UK!), Japan, S. Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Amps
  17. Hu hu, after short introduction, I wanted to present my newest MOC. It's a starfighter, a viper and I am sure it is not the last one. Inspired by T-5 DUOLOS X-Viper by nate_decastro. It was his starfighter version for Starfighter-Telephone-Game. And according to the game, I redesigned it whith some of my ideas. Bigger Pics at Flickr. I hope you like it
  18. Hello everybody! It's been a while since my last Star Wars mini model has been posted here, thus I think it's time that we move along. Today I'd like to share an Y-Wing Starfighter with you. Due to the complicated engine fuselage, this is a particular hard to build model with increasing difficulty the smaller you get by maintaining all details. I hope you will enjoy the following images. See you soon with more new mini models! Cheers, Christopher
  19. What you might say is a townie building something sci-fi ? Well, I was looking for some parts for a town project and found some black dragon components from a sea monster from the Atlantis series. So now I present DRAGONCLAW...... This craft has two rear and four side thrusters, two forward heavy PSC's (what I call Plasma Shock Cannons) and two small PSC's which is for protection from rear attack. Said rear guns are adjustable too. I'm not sure when I will create my next fighter.....I need that spark on finding that odd ball part. Comments welcome just like in the town forum.
  20. Apologies to Nuukeer whose artwork I have mutilated for the background. Thirteen years ago, The LEGO Group amazed everyone by releasing a Star Wars set that was clearly aimed solely at adults. 7191 X-Wing Fighter was a large-scale, accurate representation of the iconic X-Wing, and introduced to the unsuspecting world the concept of Ultimate Collector Series models - large, complicated builds, with interesting techniques and (often) parts, all with oodles of AFOL appeal. The original 7191 - with its sister 7181 Tie Interceptor - might have been seen as an experiment; years have passed, and the UCS title has (officially) disappeared, but it appears the experiment was a success and the concept lives on. Since then, we've seen most of the more famous SW vehicles released in UCS format, but it has been a long time since an X-Wing has been available at this scale without resorting to extortionate aftermarket prices. If you missed the first one, you need fret no longer: there's a new, updated version. I'm therefore proud to present a Eurobricks early review of 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter. Obviously we are keen to see how the new set shapes up, but I'll also concentrate on how she compares to her thirteen-year-old ancestor: to see if owners of the original 7191 might be tempted to shell out for the new version. In honour of this occasion, I've made a new, detailed review of the older one: read 7191 UCS X-Wing Fighter here. 7191 was a great set, but it had a few flaws. The principal ones are these: the wing attachments were weak, and there were a large numbers of STickers Across Multiple Pieces (STAMPs). Let's see how the new one deal with these issues, and also if newly-available parts have improved the overall shape. A huge thank you once again to The LEGO Group for providing this set for early review! Review: 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter Set Information Name: Red Five X-Wing Starfighter Number: 10240 Theme: Star Wars Original Trilogy / Exlusives / Hard to Find Release: 3 May 2013 Parts: 1558 (Press release) 1559 (Shop@Home) Figures: 1 Price: GB £169.99 | US $199.99 | EUR 199.99 (Ger) | AU $279.99 | CA $249.99 | DKK 1699.00 Links ... LEGO Press Release ... Shop@Home ... Brickset ... Bricklink ... Peeron The Box Click the picture for a larger full-frontal image The 2013 Star Wars box art has a smart, attractive green tinge to the banner, matching action-Yoda's lightsaber. Recent years have seen a uniform banner for all Star WarsTM merchandise - LEGO or otherwise; it doesn't necessarily match the model in question. Action-Yoda appears only in the prequel episodes II and III; the X-Wing is very much an Original Trilogy set. Moreover, Luke's Red Five X-Wing doesn't go anywhere near the Death Star II pictured in the background; as I recall, we don't see her after Bespin in The Empire Strikes back. Questionable canon aside, I like the picture: the ship stands out nicely against the dramatic backdrop. The size of the banner (or perhaps of the box) has, however, necessitated the loss of the lower starboard laser to box oblivion. A small inset - also picked out tastefully in green - gives us an idea of the final size of the model. Around the back, we are treated to the X-Wing in display mode, replete with stand and diminutinve R2-D2, on what might possibly be a Bespin landing platform. Click the picture for a larger image Insets show the ship in her most famous role - dodging laser fire in the Death Star trench - and remind us how Luke's Red Five was responsible for the DS's destruction via physics-defying torpedoes. Further insets demonstrate the opening cockpit and wings, and small images show the ship in 'flight mode', with wings closed. The overall effect is neat but a little fussy: I'm not keen on the step between the main image border and the 'torpedo' inset, which exists only to accommodate the set number. Both sides are identical, with the exception of the 'LEGO Club' logo on the right-hand side; I wonder how necessary this is on an adult-orientated set, but I guess AFOLs have a reasonable chance of having KFOL kids! You may be pleased to see that the box opens via flaps, with no box-destruction required, and allowing easy storage for a highly collectable set. Scale is provided on the box top by the image of '1:1' R2-D2, but as he is rather lost in the model itself, the X-Wing's size information is repeated here: The bottom teaches us to say 'Small Parts' in innumerable languages, which I suppose might be useful. I was a little surprised by how big the box isn't: Measuring W 578 mm x H 371 mm x D 82 mm, it's roughly the same width as 7191, but some six centimetres shorter and only a centimetre deeper; she feels much smaller, if that makes any sense. The weight is similar: 2255 grammes compared to 7191's 2204, and there are 250 more pieces. Presumably this represents TLG's move to more environmentally-friendly packaging; we'll have to see if the larger part count translates to an 'improved' model. The Instructions You'll be pleased to see that the instructions and stickers are wrapped separately, and cardboard-backed. Three booklets are contained therein: All have the same cover image; book 3's cover is noticeably lower quality. Advertisements for the LEGO Club and the LEGO Star Wars site adorn the rear of two of them; I'll give you one guess what's on the back of the third. The dimensions of the booklet allow for a slightly larger picture of the X-Wing than the box front affords: We therefore haven't lost quite so much of the lower starboard laser. Inside, we are treated to a whole two pages showing the modular construction; the first is shown here: Here we get a little sneak preview of how the wing-opening mechanism will be achieved. I was surprised to see that the stand is built in module 6, rather than at the end as in most UCS sets. The rather bland grey-brown background persists throughout all the instruction steps: Part call-outs and sub-builds are demonstrated clearly; a quick glance suggest there won't be any issues with colour-differentiation; but when I came to build, I did encouter a little difficulty distinguishing between dark tan and light bluish-grey in artificial light. I quickly spotted the error. Insets depicting the set's principal features are repeated from the box back at the end of manual three: Click the picture for a larger image Owners of 7191 will recognise the design of the rear-end knob which opens the wings. Immediately before this is found the set's inventory, spread over three pages; see them here: Page 1, Page 2, and Page 3. The inside rear cover of manual one advertises the extensive Summer 2013 Star Wars range: I was a little disappointed to find out that we've seen all these already. I'm no Clone Wars fan, but I love that Mando Speeder. DSS There are two separate sticker sheets; the smaller sports the complex decals for the cockpit: I was fortunate to receive two of these, so I have a backup for when I screw it up. On the larger sheet are found the display plaque decal, and some detail for the wings, complete with 'battle scars', in addition to a few smaller features. Click the picture for a larger image with correct orientation It is far less complicated than the rather daunting sheet from 7191, though I'm a little disappointed to see that - it seems - the control panel and targeting computer will be stickered. 21. RX-02 Jackal by AzMiLion, on Flickr The Jackal is a R-type fighter craft, powered by twin T-Viper Engines and armed with two dual Plasma flak cannons. The additional Jackal option weapon provides a beam weaponry capability to this fearsome fighter, as well as being capable of being used as a auxilliary hyperdrive. More spaceships with the Turbo philosophy applied to them, this one is for the May R-Type month challenge on the starfighters group on flickr! As usual, feedback is appreciated.
  22. FB-22 'Scimitar' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr A cutting-edge Fighter-Bomber hybrid, the FB-22 turned around the ailing fortunes of the ailing EarthCorp-Lockheed group. With four weapon hardpoints, a sturdy hull design and good all around performance, demand for the ship rose in the Earthling military and beyond. As ever, a small number fell into the hands of pirates and mercenary forces. X-33 'Golden Gear' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Piloted by the notorious leader of the Gearhead gangster group, the X-33 is a one of a kind ship. Behind the bling-bling paint job lies an experimental power core more suited to a small corvette than a fighter-gunship. Accordingly, the Gearheads murdered the research team before the technology could fall into other hands and diminish their advantage. F-12 'Swingwing' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr The F-12 forms the latest step in a line of snubfighters designed to be affordable but effective, given decent pilots and superior numbers. The basic model features standard cannon and shields, as well as a tree-shaped air-freshener as standard. For fancy things like rockets and jump capability..? You're going to have to pay extra. G-20 'Flying Saucer' by skapunkplaything, on Flickr Combining multi-vector engines with a potent arsenal, the G-20 became an expensive toy favoured by well-fed mercenaries and executive bodyguards in Solar corporations. Capable of taking on four regular fighters single-handed, the G-20 cost eight times as much. Many people skipped the math, leaving the 'Saucer a rare sight. *** Apologies for the terrible photo-quality, my camera is currently out of service, but I wanted to share regardless.
  23. Hello everyone. After a long time I have returned with a “new” MOC. The idea came some years ago, when I noticed the several inaccuracies in the official X-wing models. I already had the first two sets, but at some point I realized that the official models have enough inaccuracies to justify upcoming re-releases. So I started to think how a proper LEGO X-wing should be for me. I began with a simple LDD file which I showed two years ago here in EuroBricks. But after that I noticed my model was really unstable, so I decide to redesign the entire MOC until I was happy with it. And was very hard to be happy with the WIP, because that redesign took me a lot of time, and the final result has almost nothing in common with that first .lxf file. After delaying more than two years, that amount of time even looks wasted if you take in consideration that I still have the official versions. And the MOC is nothing new due the high number of great T-65 MOCs around the internet. Here are the pictures: -The cockpit can be opened and you can sit a minifg inside. There is also a targeting computer adapted for minifigs. -The S-foils can be opened manually like the first LEGO X-wing. -The landing gear can be retracted from the nose and the wings, like the “real” one. -The cargo bay door can be opened, although there’s no so much space inside. Thanks for your time, I hope you like it. As always, every comment is welcome. Gallery: Version 1.0 (2010) Version 2.0 (2012)
  24. Hey there, i'm relative new in this forums, but not to LEGO Star Wars.. ^^ Until now, i've spent my time on Imperium der Steine, a german Lego Star wars forum. But now, i want to introduce myself here, with my first MOC. It's my version of the E-Wing Escort Starfighter, well known from the Expanded Universe. Introduced at the time of the New Republic, it was later one of the major starfighters in the New Republic's Navy. It's a single-pilot Starfighter, with support from an Astromech-droid, which is placed in a slot behind the cockpit. The Starfighter is equipped with a Shield-generator and armed with three laser-cannons and one proton-torpedo launcher. This shown model is created out of 343 bricks, including the Pilot and the Astromech-Droid. It's build in minifigure-scale and fits in it's size to the second generation (2006) x-wing. Created as a concept model in LDD. I have uploaded it on Cuusoo too, so maybe, you would support me. It would be great.. ;) Thanks, and best regards $leeper
  25. Introducing the brand new Kawashita Aerospace Heavy Space Fighter: The SF-47 Tsurugi-G We at the Kawashita Group are proud to present the glorious fruit of a decade's R&D which has resulted in the most superfluous of "Heavy" class space fighters. Our pilots will have the honor of piloting a multi-role, highly versatile, and long-range combat platform within the next few weeks as the product is rolled out to factories throughout Kawashita space. We've done our best to mitigate the design doc leak, so if you've seen it please refrain from telling me as I am too low-level a functionary to not report it to my superiors. Observe the pleased expression of test pilot Hiroto Kasama-san who has spoken highly of the Tsurugi-G's defensive measures, manoeuvrability, and high-impact firepower. Very soon you will be able to see Kasama-san demoing the Tsurugi-G in aerospace combat trade shows throughout Sol and Andromeda. Watch especially for demonstrations of those "Bushi" dual Kinetic-cannons! Marvel at the Tsurugi-G's next-level armored underbody. Here at Kawashita, we take the safety of our pilots most seriously. Shame at the failure of a product of Kawashita Aerospace is shame shared by all, and therefore we have included advanced shielding coils prominently in the underbody of the ship wherein the pilot is most vulnerable. Note also the gracefully folding undercarriage! It cuts quite the imposing figure! And oh my! Those "Kirin" engines! With limited FTL capability, the Kirin ensures that the Tsurugi-G is the most mobile and long-range Heavy fighter ever developed by Kawashita. All this and bucket seats designed for maximum comfort by the couch potatoes ergonomics masters over at Octan! We are so pleased to have shared the SF-47 Tsurugi-G Heavy Fighter with you today! So pleased that we have included the above alternate profile photo for you to admire with us the sleek lines and ridiculously armored hull of this exemplary craft. Honor and Glory! Builder's Notes: -I totally stole the seat design from Bob's Crimson Pilgrim. Which remains my favorite Lego space ship. Period. -The Tsurugi-G is probably one of my top 3 favorite things I've made with Lego and one of the ones of which I am most proud. I've never attempted a MOC fighter of this calibre, using SNOT and other advanced (for me) techniques to get the shape and feel I wanted. I really enjoyed tinkering with it and it was a build wherein I tried a lot of stuff before settling. I'm pretty happy with it but the photos probably reveal a few details or mistakes that could have used more work. Oh well, can't do this forever or I'll miss my weekly and never mind the other categories of the Challenge! -Lots more pictures on my Flickr, of course. -Thanks for looking, bring on the C&C since I still have a few days to fix anything huge. That said, I went the full deal on these photos so I'd be loathe to take a bunch more. Oh well, if you see anything point it out and I'll get to it. Probably!
