  1. I'm pretty sure there are easier ways to earn money than through CUUSOO. You did notice that you have to be at least 18 years old in order to submit projects, right? I'm certain that if you just keep begging/spamming this thread, people will start to love it and the votes will pour in.
  2. Who's the other vote, your mom? Not being serious in the project's description probably isn't the best way to fare well, but okay... The thing is: your model is a huge, brown square with tons of bricks. It looks NOTHING like a real LEGO model and has ZERO chance of ever going into production. It seems to me like you already know this and just want some attention. And if you seriously can't see why this model won't ever be mass-produced, it begs to be asked: are you even an AFOL at all?
  3. I did check it out, that's what led to my question...
  4. Great collection with several pics I hadn't seen before. Thanks for sharing. :)
  5. I'm extremely impressed by the look and building techniques used here, with so many small pieces and new ways to present an official LEGO set. It feels more "mature" than most (if not all) of the recent Kingdoms sets. I will be waiting for a sale for this, but I will get it. I don't think I've been so excited for a set since MMV, and it's nice to see that most of the torsos can be used for non-fleshie figs as well. Outstanding set and a good review!
  6. I will be looking to get most of the LOTR sets for use with my Castle setup. Especially Helm's Deep and Uruk Hai Army, which I think will be a great city wall for a Castle village when modified.
  7. I mainly collect Castle but constantly look at other themes to find sets that can fit into a Castle setting with some minor modfications. I just don't want to get stuck with too many figs/parts that I'll never use.
  8. Splendid stuff, very nice details.
  9. Fantastic work. This is what I hope to do myself once I get the bricks and the space for it; an outer LOTR-ish wall with an attacking and a defending force and a small village within. Possibly with a harbor on the other side as well, if room for it.
  10. No new figures and a ridiculously horrible baseplate makes the chess set a huge dissapointment to me. I definately won't buy.
  11. I'm not really into the western theme, but it's hard not to like this moc. My favourite part is the cactus; great build while keeping it fairly simple.
  12. Here's another vote for "awesome, but a bit too tall for hobbits".
  13. Your word certainly came true on that, impressive work.
  14. Very impressive, must have taken a long time to build. I especially like the very "clean" and sharp look of the colors used.
  15. Looks good - except that to mimmic a real LEGO set, it needs more than the one color.
  16. But again: LEGO will NEVER do a theme on a real life war, no matter how educational. Thinking otherwise is just plain delusional and wishful thinking. This. Won't. Happen. The closest you *might* get is a theme like the cancelled Europa, which clearly features roughly that era without being too specific or detailed in regards to conflicts and locations.
  17. Forestmen for sure. That would be amazing. Wolfpack would be good as well, though.
  18. Great use of fire.
  19. The figs still have good parts that could be used for such a theme, no matter what you call the figs. Are you guys actually expecting LEGO to ever do anything that's 100 % historically accurate?
  20. Oh don't you know? Using caps on the internet is a universally proven and accepted way to assert that your opinion is better and more important than that of others. Perhaps you just didn't read the memo.
  21. You can just make your own Nappy-style theme by combining Castle with Pirates. Throw in some collectible minifig musketeers here and there and VOILA! LEGO would never do a theme revolving around a real life war.
  22. I concur with those praising treebeard, very very well done with him. I must say that I think he's your best LOTR build as of yet.
  23. I don't collect the Star Wars sets, but I must say that those two Jabba sets in particular looks awesome.
  24. I'd say that MMV overall blows the Joust away, but that the Joust has better minifigs.
