  1. Some very nice ones here, I can see why ER0L urged you to share them. I really like the top one, it reminds me of an old Ford Taunus, and that orange coupé/convertible design is lovely. Well done!
  2. A lot of rare stuff to see here, and very interesting to see prototypes of the bricks that never were. Thanks for sharing! Can't help but mention, though, that the 2x2 trans-clear tile has actually been released in a set. I know, because I had one as a child, and didn't even realise it was rare until I needed one for a MOC. I naturally assumed that all the parts I has as a child were common :)
  3. I think it might be these?
  4. Hadn't thought about that, but why not? I'm up for a group photo :)
  5. I'm going to build something that I started as a project a while back, but never came anywhere close to finishing - namely this. It's easily the most famous landmark in my home town of Bergen :)
  6. I'm not sure that's what you're after with this, but there are a few stores that sell retired sets. Sometimes their markup is reflecting the market, but every now and then they get it terribly wrong. I think this was probably such an instance: That's 1,450 Norwegian kroner. That equals about 174 €, £145 or 240 US dollars. Now, this might be a rare set - but that desirable? Really?
  7. There's an old topic on this from June 2013, and as far as I can remember, your points were all discussed back then. Personally, I think it's a strange idea.
  8. I didn't intend for it to be a riddle - but you're on to something. It's two different cars. If the weather is nice I'll be driving my little classic sports car - which is indeed a convertible, but it has only two seats - but if it's more likely to rain I'll take my everyday car. Which has room for more :) Hoping for nice weather, it'll be a nice trip taking the smaller roads down to Billund instead of the motorway - so I've booked the ferry ticket on the small car's registration for now :)
  9. I'll be coming by car - but how many people I can fit depends on the weather. If the weather forecast says sunshine, I'll only have room for myself +1, if it doesn't I'll probably have room for myself + 4...
  10. I'm with Kristel on this one - it's very well done and the colour choices are great. I also very much like the back of it, it's a part of a modular that often turns out boring, but you've managed to create something interesting to look at there as well.
  11. I spy one of these! It's an unusually big one though, you may have done a bargain here.
  12. It's nice to see this get some well-deserved attention again! Like I told you when you first posted it on Flickr, I really like it a lot. And among all the details, a couple stand out for me: The bear - a lovely touch! - and that lovely stove with the tiling on the wall. Great stuff - and congratulations on the front page!
  13. You are both crazy. Having that kind of potential value just laying around? Those insane Norwegians.
  14. Would anybody registered on this website have a bunch of Series 10 bags that they hadn't already checked? I don't think so... ;)
  15. Well... this is not going to be a long post, but I've got a couple of items I can part with. 7688 Sports Plane 20200 MBA Level One - Kit 1, Space Designer 30108 Summer Picnic 40052 Springtime Scene (2x) 21100 Shinkai 6500 Submarine (2x) I'm also considering parting with my 10181 Eiffel Tower. It has been built once and has been sitting on display in my living room since. I'd dismantle it, dust it off, put the pieces in ziplock bags and put it all back in the original box - if any of you are interested. But it's expensive, have a look at BL prices to get an idea. Oh, and I've got tons of all of these - let me know if you're interested. I'm sure I can feel the CMF packets for you if you want a particular figure: PM me if you feel tempted :) EDIT: I'm also posting these on the forum for the Norwegian LUG, Brikkelauget - we're having our annual event a couple of weeks before the EB event. I'll update this post accordingly, if anything gets popular.
  16. It's Danish. And it does mean butcher.
  17. If, after you've packed, you find out that you actually do have room for an Architecture Studio set, I'd be super happy if you could bring one. I realise it's not very likely, as it's a heavy beast, from what I can tell, but if... :) I have something very exclusive for a part trade, if it's of interest. But I can bring it anyway, and we'll see.
  18. I don't normally venture into this part of the forum, but there are some pretty impressive builds here! Entry 3 - 3 points Entry 5 - 2 points Entry 1 - 1 point.
  19. Oh, yes! A Ferrari FXX, please. Missing that one :)
  20. As I said: I'll survive. Looking forward to meeting the rest of you :)
  21. Is it possible to request a move to group 2? I know seven people in that group - in the other ones I hardly know anybody. And if it's not possible - I'll survive :)

    Trip Ideas

If you do make your way up to Scandinavia, I'd heartily recommend the train trip from Oslo to Bergen. It takes you through some of the most breathtaking scenery Norway has to offer, especially for the last two hours (so just make sure you travel in daylight). And I live in Bergen, which happens to be among the most beautiful cities in Norway, mainly because it has a lot of history - so I could show you around :)
  23. Ooh, that's fantastic news. This means I'll probably manage to attend, whereas the original dates collided with the EB Event. Splendid, I say!
  24. "My first attempt at an original, Modular-like creation"? Well, that's one heck of an attempt. Looks absolutely spectacular, with fleur de lis design and all, and it's impressive how close you've been able to get to the original. The interior is beautiful, too, especially that hall with the grand staircase and chandelier. Stunning. Well done!
  25. So this was your work? I saw it in a couple of pictures from LW and wondered who had built that. It's a gorgeous display, and very realistic. Great stuff!
