Sorry to interrupt this but the bricks you used for this small house seem in rather bad shape (very used with all sorts of marks, color differences and maybe repeatedly washed). And of course the ordinary town window of the barrack needs to be exchanged with a classic latticed window.

The most Spanish looking flesh tone face would be the Professor Karkaroff one which can be found in the 4768 Durmstrang Ship set. Looks kind'a mean too >8-)

I just checked it out and it appears that the shield design was part of a sticker sheet belonging to a Technic set called Extreme Power Bike.

The colour (or color if you are from the US X-D ) of the legs seems to be different compared to those that we know. It looks like they are made in some sort of soft light brownish tint. 8-

No you won't, alas not for now... shipping due for August 16. :-P A long Summertime waiting period is what you are getting... X-D

No BL, no eBay, only Eurobricks? :-/ Stop wasting time with this pointless question, go to the store, buy the sets with the pieces you need and sell the leftovers or use them for other purposes. :-| Some of the pieces are in $5.00 - $10.00 sets so why bother and making all that fuss about not having enough money? Try saving money from birthdays or better, ask for the sets with the pieces.

Great find indeed. Lots of useful pieces and it seems like a great set to own. Looks like this is a preliminary image coming from a Fall/Winter 2007 catalogue which is due to hit the toy stores next month or in August.

And unfortunately it is mainly parts and I did not locate original boxes. Wonder how much shipping to Europe would have been... :'-( This person more or less knew he had good stuff since he made some references to current prices but why sell this enormous amount in one sale for so incredibly little money? Splitting up would be more time consuming but financially a lot more rewarding. I would have taken my time to carefully sell these sets per 2 or 3 or a couple more sorted per theme.

I thought that madness was about ridiculously high prices, this is the ridiculously low prices category. :-P

jamtf replied to jamtf's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Just noticed that someone accepted the buy it now option, the lot (20 extra minifigs were added during the auction totalling now a staggering 2,670 SW minifigs *vader* *yoda* ) got sold for $22,000!! 8- -
He has every set of the new line and is now patiently waiting for the 2008 line of sets :-P Wonder where he got it. Probably, this is an Asian guy. In my experience, the Asians are the ones who get these sort of items earlier than anyone else on the planet. Anyway, nice set. Box has different languages (incl. German language) and I am therefore quite confident that it will be available in Europe too. Sure hope that the new Hoth Rebel Base and the Republic Cruiser will also be sold in this part of the world... |-/

I just checked. It is www.amazon.com and go search for Lego building toys. The website indicated that there were only 3 left for sale so hesitation might cost you...

Huge quantity Lego SW figs for sale on eBay
jamtf replied to jamtf's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
The value of the fig is not degraded once it is taken out of the box. These figs can still be considered new and never played with. I mean, the legs and arms were not moved a million times, parts have not been repeatedly exchanged with other figs and there is no risk of the fig being damaged, playworn or mistreated by child's play (no marks). They were only taken out of the box, assembled to be sure it is complete and then put away in a secure place and they are therefore supposed to be in as new condition as you can get. There is hardly any difference compared to a fig in a closed box except these are assembled i.e. legs and torso combined + headgear attached to fig. Only used figs are in my opinion worth less, either used for play or used for display purposes. This person by the way has a BL store called Flying Solo Lego maintained by popsicle (alias). The eBay store was formerly also called Flying Solo but this was apparently for some reason changed into Danish Building Toys. There are more figs to be found in the BL store if 2650 pieces is not enough. X-D -
The dwarf really looks like Gimli from Lord of the Rings. :-)

Now, now, Mr. Phes, the price you paid for that 1729 Barnacle Bay was quite OK if I may say so. You were lucky that I did not bid on it since I located it too. I have it sealed too but mine was way more expensive. Fortunately, the box is in good shape so I am pleased with the quality of my copy. Last pirate set added is a 6276 Eldorado Fortress in used condition with box and instructions. My first one of this set. Price was OK, not outrageously expensive and it is supposed in good shape. I paid for it yesterday and it has not been sent off to me yet (international bank transfers tend to be slow :-/ ) but I am expecting its arrival sometime next week. I do not know if the inner plastic tray is still there but should it be missing, I happen to have a spare one that for some reason came with my used 6270 Forbidden Island set. I was wondering why the tray had spare space for a second cannon (while the 6270 set only contains 1 cannon) until I found out the tray did not belong to the 6270 and was supposed to be part of a 6276 Eldorado Fortress. And I forgot to add that I got a MI(S)B 6277 Imperial Trading Post with damaged box but with all parts sealed in their original polybags and therefore never played with and sealed copies of 6260 Shipwreck Island and one of my favourite smaller sets, 6259 Broadside's Brig. The maker of the treehouse also made this Spanish port: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=4724 I think this should be added to the Imperial Armada MOC section.

50 Greedo's , ideal for a Rodian army! :-D -
A "Streets of Cairo" set would be great, also as a parts pack. It will most likely have wagon wheels and wagon parts, jugs, baskets, barrels, all sorts of foods and fruits (basically a small market scene or bazaar), the monkey (from the man on the motorcycle with eyepatch) and some figs of course. But let's not get carried away... 2008 is still a couple months away... *sad*

How he got them? I think he purchased many sets (on clearance?) over the past couple years... and it took him 8 years so he started the collection when Lego first introduced the SW line in 1999. -
I have been an Indy fan. I have seen Raiders of the Lost Ark numerous times and also fancied the Temple of Doom although I feel that the tense in the last mentioned movie was merely taken away by the silly jokes. Just my opinion. Anyway, I have seen Indiana Jones playsets sell on eBay before. I think these were made by Kenner (not sure). One of them was called the map room from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie with Indy standing in the middle with the staff of ra waiting for the sun to point at the spot where the ark was burried. Would be cool if Lego could recreate that. 8-

Here are some SW figs: http://cgi.ebay.com/2-650-Star-Wars-Lego-m...1QQcmdZViewItem averaging $8.30 a piece without shipping... not that crazy but the grand total is huge. Some are definitely worth it, others aren't. I truly wonder where this one will end up providing it will be sold. I mean, who can bear to spend $22,000 + shipping on this enormous and impressive quantity of 2,650 Lego SW minifigs? As far as I know the seller has a BL store with mainly SW figs also.

I second that... :-D *vader* *yoda*

I consider myself a true SW fan but since I live in Europe and refuse to pay lots of money for just one minifig that I already own in a different colour, I am well comfortable not owning it. :-) But of course it is OK for you to think I am not a true SW fan... as long as I know the truth myself. :-|
