  1. Let's keep it at that number to avoid anymore misunderstandings. AC PS. Added step-by-step process pic.
  2. Unfortunately that's not gonna happen and it doesn't sound amusing anymore when you say it to everybody. AC
  3. If you decide to build an entry to take on the challenge, you can post it as a separate thread and just add a link to it here. Btw, there are also good ideas from the CB SW VI - ROTJ. AC
  4. It could've easily been bigger but kept it to the large baseplate with a stud or so overhang in a few places. If only I could've lighted up the bottom part, then the details inside would've been shown. Not so fast and nothing is guarranteed, I'm hoping like everybody else to be able to place. There's a lot of time left but I had to finish this earlier as I have a couple of projects to complete also by August. Good luck on your entry too. More detailed pics available at the site and tried to emulate the designs from actual factories/assembly lines for this. AC
  5. Sorry, I'm definitely NOT going as much as I've wanted to. AC
  6. I don't think we're going to find out the correct answer to that question but we can only assume that they've produced more than was packaged in CMF series boxes. At least there's a second chance to get the minifigs but really bad that the accessories are not there. I'm not the only one to cash in on these as the replies show. It would also be good to keep it going as it looks like the same minifigs show up in most stores. I'll update the first post later to make a tally of what minifigs have shown up by series. I've seen those too and since I have enough musketeers did not buy any. Too bad there were no plumes and epees to go with the minifig. Sorry no sale on those, I could've easily got the minifig but I don't have any need for it. So I just got the helmets which can come in handy for future MOCs. AC PS.Keep them coming and if possible list the minifig, series and if complete or not so that I can tally them up in the first post.
  7. The madness has begun! AC
  8. Thanks for explaining it to Hive. Definitely depends by store and I don't show these off at the store to the other customers. Try to ask nicely if they'll allow you, the worst they can say is no. AC
  9. Fixing up an army featured in a another diorama for future works. AC
  10. For those that have missed on buying the old CMFs at retail stores, the Build-A-Mini stations is your second chance to get them as some of them have shown up in them. As usual the inventory varies from store to store and may not have all the parts to complete them. Nevertheless, this thread will be kept up to date with what has shown up in the stores. So keep those posts coming and please check the current list to report only those that have not been mentioned. Here's the current list of old CMFs that have shown up in the BAM stations; Series 1 Caveman: Hair, Head, Torso Cheerleader: Hair, Head Forestman: Head Magician: Hair, Head, Torso, Legs Ninja: Hat, Head, Legs Skater: Head Spaceman: Hat, Head, Torso Super Wrestler: Head, Torso Tribal Hunter: Hair, Head Series 2 Karate Master: Hair Mime: Hat, Head 1, Head 2, Legs Pharaoh: Hat, Head Disco Dude: Hair, Legs Pop Star: Hair, Head, Legs Witch: Hat Series 3 Pilot: Head, Torso, Legs Rapper: Hat Tribal Chief: Hat, Head Race Car Driver: Hair, Head, Torso Baseball Player: Hat, Head, Legs Series 4 Street Skater: Hat, Head, Torso, Legs Crazy Scientist: Hair, Head, Torso, Legs Surfer Girl: Hair, Head, Torso, Legs Snowboarder: Head, Torso, Legs Punk Rocker: Head, Legs Musketeer: Hat, Head, Torso, Legs Sailor: Hat, Head, Torso, Legs Ice Skater: Hair, Head, Torso, Legs Original post on July 4, 2012 I've seen a lot of the older series CMFs showing up in the Build-A-Mini three packs. The caveman, clown, cheerleader, forestman were the first ones that I've seen though I only bought a three-pack forestman. Most recently I've seen the musketeer though without the plume and epee. Which ones have you found and did you buy any? A couple of weeks ago I got lucky to get these! AC
  11. Sometimes you get lucky! AC
  12. Add several bags with Bionicle parts and you're looking at some of mine! AC
  13. Or hit some stores that may still have them as I've managed to find a couple of boxes in a TRU a couple of weeks ago. AC
  14. If you're using water slide decals, then yes. Good luck on that! Here's what I've used decals for these and these. AC
  15. Added to the list and would like to meet everybody else if I make it. Next week, I'll know definitely if I'm going or not. AC
  16. Even cheaper to use stickers for the torsos as I've done in other MOCs. Just have the real minifigs for the officers and those in front. AC
  17. Spartans were done using the barcode. Samurais, elves, musketeers, gladiators and Romans though touch and feel. Got really good at it as I was able to get through a box in less than half an hour since I was looking only for specific minifigs. Lucky enough to find stores that had four boxes or more each trip as long as I kept everything neat. In fact, I became such a regular customer that the store staff actually handed the boxes to me when I came. AC
  18. You never know what might show up in the build-a-minifig! I feel your pain! Planning to do a couple more before they get traded away! All of the CMFs that I got were bought at MSRP. AC
  19. C'mon this contest is geared to a younger age group. Check the contest rules on the site and you have to be a Lego Club member. No, they're trying to find out what to build next to complement it. AC
  20. Just got in the snail mail today; AC PS. I have no intentions to join this contest. But it would be fun to see what entries EB members submit for those who enter the contest.
  21. Practice, practice, practice and always try to find new ways to build. I don't create instructions for my builds, so by the WIP pics it shows the details that could easily be overlooked in the completed MOC. If you missed any or want more details on each MOC, the site provides you all and more. You should know by now that I'm a retro kind of guy but feature fleshies from time to time. AC
  22. See response below. Why not? That's the idea! That's only half of it. AC
  23. I'm a mind reader! It took me awhile to find the storage box with mine as it was way deep in the corner. AC PS. Note to self, must build Town MOC before year end.
  24. You should post this question in the Train Tech forums and just watch how many will answer it. AC
  25. Nice displays and I used to have my sets that way but not anymore. Just counting up some small armies for possible use in future projects. AC
