As the June store calendar shows, the Lego store at the Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth New Jersey will have its grand opening from June 15-17. The store has been open since May 18 and the NJ GardenSLUG pitched in to build the store displays. I did several of the larger sets and was able to see first hand the work done in the store to build all the shelvings/panels, etc. Just a couple of things happening during the grand opening; 1) SpongeBob will be the Lego model to be built, help out and get a certificate 2) $35 purchase will get you a T-Shirt (June 15 Friday), Lego store set(June 16 Saturday) and CMF (June 17 Sunday) I'll be there on Saturday helping out with the Build-A-Model and of course to get the limited edition lego store set. The store manager from the Bridgewater store transferred to the Jersey Gardens store. AC PS. I'll be posting any updates that I find out about this event.

All the tiles you see on each of the cases shown come off like ordinary tiles so that they can be used for the two game cases included. The minifigs are not glued though I'm not sure about their quality (coming from regular sets or magnets/keychains). The stock may vary from store to store as I've seen in different locations. This store in my hometown had the most selection that I've seen thus far. AC

Definitely none of the above when I was there. AC

The royal entourage breaks through the grand palace using a little known route into the palace from the hangar. An expanded version of an earlier work to demonstrate the Star Wars modular buildings. Click on the pic for more details. Alternate views; Posted May 27, 2012 The Theed Palace modules shown in a previous diorama have been extended from the basic two modules in the middle to four. There's now two modules with the windows and a roof module (expansion pack). AC

Just found these tonight for only $5 each at a Five Below store and only bought the clone trooper. AC

All three beasts done! AC

Thanks all for your comments! Just like the Nexu and Reek, the Acklay was not going to be in actual minifig scale. The design considerations I've made for them was to have their prominent features done in detail and consistent color schemes. These are also the first versions of the three beasts and would likely do some minor mods for the final scenes. AC

All three have been completed! Welcome and yes show us your stuff. Every little detail counts! AC

A non-sentient carnivore native to Vendaxa with sharp claws, thick skin, and ferocious set loose in the Geonosian arena. AC

Got these two cups yesterday from the new Lego store that just opened at the Jersey Gardens mall. Only three pieces got my interest; 1) 2x4 tan bricks 2) light bluish gray hinges 3) 2x2 dark tan tiles Plus the free Hulk minifig with the other sets that I bought to get to $50. AC

It's the Acklay and will be done in a couple of days as I'd like it to be just as poseable like the Nexu and Reek. Footprint would be equal or slightly bigger than the Naboo hangar and definitely taller! AC

Another beast added, one left to go! AC
-
You hit right with the muscle tone as the reek was the real beast among the three! Had to scrounge up the various pieces in the correct color to give it justice. The eyes are in the old dark gray same as the clips for the handcuffs, it's the lighting that makes them look like bronze. As soon as I got them from the drawer I knew that they would look great on it! AC

Everything will come together in the arena. Have you considered supporting this? In time, you'll see them too! Welcome to the boards and since you're a newbie, let me tell you that you haven't seen anything yet! Search the boards for all the amazing MOCs done by the other members too. AC

I'd still like to improve upon the teeth but it will do for now. AC

A large thick-skinned, horned, bovine-esque quadruped, used for exhibition sport and executions. AC

Thanks all for the comments! For a quick update, just finished another beast and also another module similar to this one but more of a mirror image. AC
-
Just imagine having several of these modules side by side with the balcony in the middle! AC

Yes, that's him to the right on the second level. Moving on to the beasts! AC

One down, two to go. The articulation is a must for this beast as there's quite a few scenes I want to shoot it with. It's not really in minifig scale as I've wanted to put more detail into it. Working on the Reek and parts of the Acklay, stay tuned for more updates later wthis week. You'll still have to wait a bit longer for the other two! I've wanted to use the horns initially but would have made the body thicker than two studs so scrapped that and used the levers instead. AC
