  1. The large doors were opened slowly, as Henry tried to push them. After spending a night in his Inn for the first time since he had joined Heroica, he felt great and was full of energy (not enough energy to slam the doors open, though). He was excited to find out who was chosen for the quests, he was ready to do whatever would have to be done. To his displeasure, there were two mages in the Hall, some new guy and the young lady he had seen before. "Okay", he said, while waiting. "Does anyone know a good story? Maybe about some dead or missing siblings?"
  2. Actually, almost every special role is worth sacrificing an actionless fellow. Also, if it "clears" her to be a trusted townie with a crucial ability, it's even better. That's a fair question. I'm not sure, but before she came up with this, I might have done so. The question is, what else could she have done, if she is scum? She could have claimed to be a vanilla, but then I would have voted for her for sure. She could have claimed to have another action, without accusing anyone, but she might have been investigated or people might even have wondered about the word "nasty". I'd like to know from Petr, if he really added the word "nasty" by himself. If she was town, of course, she would have said nothing but the truth. Postponing is an interesting idea if you consider the propability of a conversion at night. If she was the converter, she would do a lot to live one more day. But I doubt that, because how would she have known about Donil targetting Yuri? By the way, Ruxana has neither confirmed nor denied Sandy's statement that she can't be blocked. I'd like her to explain.
  3. I'm not sure what to make out of the second killer. It could be a second mafia, maybe the Baritones are back in Moonlight. Maybe there's the Russian Mafia, who start out with a certain amount of players, and the Baritones, who start with only a godfather, converting their killer yesterday, like in a film named Eurodina I've seen. Or it's an impertial or a vigilante (which I doubt, considering the MO). I still believe that the poisoner is a Serial Killer or a vigilante. But I think it proves the Tommy killer to be scum, as only they have a reason to kill Yuri. Which brings us to the next point: Ruxana claims, she followed Donil, who used a night action on Yuri. While it may be that he didn't actually kill Yuri, but used another night action, I would wonder what action that was. There was once again no reason for a townie to use a harming or investigative action on Yuri, while he can't have used a protective one, or Yuri would have survived. So I ask you, Donil, what action did you use and why? I don't like you to make it a matter of trust. Because I do trust you more than Ruxana, but you agree, that Donil is likely to be scum. Now, if Ruxana was a rival scum, how would she have found out Donil has used an action on Yuri? The scum might have a tracker quite well, but have we ever heard of a scum tracker who can't be blocked? Bit of overkill, isn't it? On the other hand, it's also a possibility that Donil is with the same scum as Ruxana. Considering she was really one of the roles you mentioned, it would make sence to sacrifize an actionless mobster to protect someone like that. I really agree that it's quite a coincidence that exactly the day we are about to convict Ruxana she comes up with a useful role and solid evidence. But, it may also be that we convict a townie with an important night action. I'm not sure who to vote for, but I won't let Ruxana off the hook. This is far too scummy.
  4. "I am pretty sure I've signed in for Quest one as well. ", Henry complaines. "But nevermind, I'll do it again", he adds and writes his name down again.
  5. No offence, but you've never actually bought a remedy you could sell. Not that I want to inculpate you, but I think you made an error.
  6. Henry wondered why everyone was leaving. It's not like he had never seen an Orc. Or an army of Orcs. He had done good business with different Orcs tribes before. In fact, Orc armies always needed spies among their enemies, and therefore they needed humans (or whatever species they are attacking). For luck, few people were daring or greedy enough to apply for them, so they payed very well. And there was the old saying, if you can't beat them or just don't want to beat them, make business ewith them and get yourself much money. Henry thought about going out to spy on the City Guard, but the Rangers seemed like they wanted to fight the Orc army. Henry wasn't very anxious to mess with a gang of trigger-happy Rangers, so he rather stayed in the Hall and looked at the others who stayed there as well.
  7. "I'm glad we could avoid a struggle, so that I finally can eat the food I had ordered." Henry sits down at a table, giving everyone a toothy smile, and starts eating a large plate full of bits of everything that was in the kitchen.
  8. "That's easy for a mage to say. All the ones I have met so far weren't much better, they were all greedy for power, stopping at nothing to achieve their goals. And they never admitted they were bad. You and the other mages here might be an exception, but I'll stay suspicious, if you don't mind. And about the fight, a clear Drinks are on me!"
  9. Henry had been so lost in his grief, he hadn't realized someone had started the fight. He drew his sword and hid under a table, waiting for something further to happen.
  10. "No reason to point your wand at people, Althior. I was merely talking to myself. I have nothing against you, just against mages in general, but I wouldn't mind killing you if it was self defense. So calm down, for your own sake. If we heroes kill ourselves, who will protect this city and collect treasures then?" "Well, the story is, that my father had lead a group of mercenaries. Then, some mages wanted to overthrow the six families and rule the city by themselves, so my father was hired to take on them. He managed to kill or arrest the whole circle, but their master got away. He came to my family's house, and, as he was very powerful, simply blew up my home and thereby burned down half the street. Fom that on I have an aversion against everyone who uses ether to kill people, but especially mages." Once Henry's ended, he drank once more, although nothing on the drinking game's list had happened.
  11. "Wow, do we all have such a dramatic background? For luck I don't have one...no what I do...My Parents...Those Mages...Well, at least I didn't lose my whole village. And I will hardly get my revenge. Talking about dramatic pasts, did I already tell you about my brother?"
  12. "Yeah, some food would be nice now.", said Henry, who had woken up once again. He wasn't used to free drinks, so maybe he should stop drinking that much, if he wanted to be able to do quests even again. Especially since he hadn't eaten for the whole time he was at Heroica now. So he went to the bar, ordering "whatever you got" and some water. He sat down next to the one-eyed Ranger, who seemed to wait for his food as well.
  13. Well, it wasn't as good as yesterday, but it wasn't bad either. i wonder if there will be any werewolves around, since it's a full moon? Gotta love the FBI agent, though.
  14. Henry wakes up, having a terrible headache. He sees some new people, one being a female human Elven warrior () and another looking like a Crusader. Henry raises a random bottle in front of him, but the Crusader guy doesn't seem to throw any Shurikans. Disappointedly he lowers his bottle again. He picks himself together and staggers to the Quest board. He had already signed up for Quest two before, but he decided he could take on two. Also, there were already quite a bid of applicants. So he signed up for Quest #1 as well. Then he walks back to his table, mutters something, that sounds like: "Wanna buya beer!" Then he takes his bottle, downs it, and gets unconscious again.
  15. Well, I've thought about it, and I doubt we'll reach a conclusion today. The votes seem to be far to divided for that. And, because I'll be away now, as I have a real live as well, and because I'll most propably not be back before the day ends, I'll now vote: Barbara (Bob The Construction Man). She seems to be the best choice to me.
  16. No offence, but that makes no sence. We've convicted Benji, who was accused to have posted normally while expressing nothing. Now I'm inclined to vote Barbara, who said few while expressing nothing. But even if they acted the same, following your logic, we have killed somebody who hasn't expressed his opinions. Now that he turned out town, we know, that people who don't express their opinions are town? And if we kill Petr, who is quite loud, and he turns out to be town, we know that everyone who's loud can't be scum either? Sorry, but I think you're wrong about that point.
  17. Henry hadn't bought something for years, so this would be a complete now feeling. But the merchants seemed to be against thieving for some reason, and therefore he resigned and went to the gnome named Gnomeo. "Er, I'd like to buy this Bedroll over there. 5 Gold, ain't it?" Begrudgingly he handles the gnome his gold he had killed so hard for. After he had cautiously checked that no fellow Rogue had seen him (that was quite embarrassing; a Rogue buying stuff!), he went away as far as he could.
  18. Well, that's at least what I thought to do, following what I did yesterday. Situation is hardly changed, so I see no reason not to do so.
  19. I suppose I was wrong with my vote, so I'll waste my only unvote now: unvote: Petr (Zepher) Seems like I've been a bit hasty, and I apologize. I may be rather clueless today, but Petr seems like town to me and convicting townies won't help us. I'll give it a bit more thinking, before I'll finally vote. We're unfortunately running out of time, so I don't think I'll have much of it to reconsider my vote. But it won't go for Petr, I'd hate to have another one Benji-case.
  20. Nice. Very creative use of pieces.
  21. How does it confirm that? I'm afraid I can't follow you. I also was one of the ones contacted by him and I also was a bit suspicious of him. And since we don't got much today, I'll also vote: Petr (Zepher). Sorry if you turn out to be town, also, I'd be glad if anything else came up.
  22. The friendly, but suspicious Orc had left the Hall, as well as this Mage. Feeling much easier, Henry had drunk some ales, as they were free. Unfortunately soon the Elf Mage had sat at the table, but Henry could hardly do anything, so he had given the Elf one of his famous smiles. After quite a while and even more drinks, Henry had to watch another two mages, a human and some species he slightly remebered to be a Fenarian. He didn't know why he knew that, as he had never seen one before. But she made him feel uncomfortable. Usually mages made him feel angry, but this one...Henry wasn't sure. He would watch her. Together with the two mages, a knight had entered, with a shiny greatsword. Henry wondered, where all those more or less heroic heroes came from, that filled the Hall.
  23. Not far away from Heroica Hall, a shiny knight left the "Merry Maraca", where he had spent the last night. He turned around and looked at the dirty street, where he had come from. Then, he turned around, to meet his destiny at Heroica. Suddenly, he was approached by a dark figure: "Hey, knight, you're new in Eubric, aren't you?" "Yes, I am. I come from quite far away, from the very South. My name is Don Pinatto." "Hm. Interesting." "Oh, I even have a background story: My father is a rich and powerful landlord, but since I'm tired of administrative work, I've decided to become a hero at Heroica." "What's Heroica?", the other figure asked, cluelessly. "It's a great place right down the street, were you can become a great hero and find treasures and kill monsters and solve quests and so on." "How astonishing...do they take rogues as well?" "Of course they do. They even got a lot of rogues, I've heard." "So, what do I need to become a hero?", he asked. "Ten gold, a weapon that fits you, a potion and an item, specifically to your class. You would have to have a vial of venom." "How conveniant, I do have a vial of venom!" "That's great, so all you need is a potion, ten gold and a weapon." "Say, would you mind me to examine that sword closely?" "Well, I don't happen to see a reason why not.", the Don says, and hands the figure the weapon. "By the way, do you want to be my friend?", the Knight asks. "Of course I do. You have a quite nice sword." "You like it? I pulled it out of a rock by myself. Oh, I can't wait to solves quests together with you." "Yeah, whatever...", the Rogue muttered. Of course, he'd tell never tell this story like this. He'd say he had replied some cool one-liner. Now owming all the stuff required, the Rogue wandered down the street, to find this place called Heroica. Having slammed open the heavy doors (actually he had barely managed to push them open; strengh was not quite what he was known for. To be exactly, he wasn't known for anything yet), he looked over the Hall. It was full of heroes and heroines of all species, lots of Rogues and Knights, even a small imp was in sight. There was a large, blonde barbarian, who was talking to his sword, an Orc wearing an armor and a guy with a chicken. He felt a bit said when he thought about his poor friend, who couldn't see that. He was sure, Don Pinatto would have liked that. But however, here he could make lots of new friends. Having another look at the load of people, he saw a guy with a wand in his hand. And this young, black-haird lady. And an elf with a snake staff! Mages! He was a nice guy dep within, meaning harm only to mosters, enemies and people who're just passing by. But he couldn't stand Mages, they remembered him at his terrible youth...his parents' death...the fight for survival on the streets of Eubric...all because of those Mages. But however, he was ssmart enough not to start a fight with people he might once rely on. Be polite, he told himself. Stay calm, he told himself. Do nothing you'll regret. Eventually, he went to the Quest Board, signed for Quest #2 Looking through the wares and then went to the group with the Orc knight, the eye-patched Ranger and the Mage. Giving the mage a polite smile, he sayed:"Hi there, my name is Henry Sicariul. Do you mind me joining you?" OT: I'm sorry my introduction post got that long, I promise to post shorter ones from now on. Also, I hope it is okay, that my character has an aversion against Mages. Nothing personal, just roleplay.
  24. While this may be true, we still should convict the ones who seem most scummy. Or should we spare everyone who's scummy, as scum certainly wouldn't act scummy, but instead lynch the ones who look most like townies? Thinking like that gives me headaches. But I agree that we shouldn't try find out how the vote hijacking works the hard way, it might cost us a day and a valuable townie.
  25. I can't believe you actually think about that as an option. There are some reasons why this makes no sence: 1. God hasn't said anything about voting, just about conviction. Why would he warn us about a penalty and not warn us about another? 2. What is the sence of a penalty if you don't make clear it is a penalty? People will just do the same mistakes, as they don't know they can be punished for it. 3. Someone would be punished every day following your theory, as the day ends when a conviction is reached. Well, unless the vote is too split to reach a conviction before everyone voted, but in this case, you wouldn't lynch anyone so there would be another penalty. Your idea is just strange. Maybe, but I wonder what he could have known on day one? If it had been stronger than your reason to convict Benji, why wouldn't he have shared it? If it hadn't been stronger than your reason to convict Benji, what worth did it have at all? And why shall we be suspicious of Timur and Nika only if he dies? The only possibility I see, was, that he told them something which would make him a target if one of those were scum. But what could he have told them? Since he couldn't have evidence against someone, it would have been something about his night actions, but assuming that is the case, why would he tell excatly somebody (Nika) who accused him and somebody (Timur) who wasn't quite on his side during that accusation? That makes no sence. Last possibility is, since it is most likely neither evidence nor a role, that he based his posthumous accusation on the fact he had been charged by Nika and Timur in the day thread, which doesn't make them look suspect in my opinion, or even, that the story was made up (once again, no accusation, just being thorough). I don't see any other possible scenario, do you?
