General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Peanuts replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
Well, it happened in other Lego games before, that things, which were introduced in them, were done in real, but looking totally different, for example the Flying Wing or Indy's car in te Shanghai scene from Lego Indiana Jones as well as figs like Bossk or Mola Ram, while existing sets were looked like they really were, so I wouldn't have too much hope about that, especially not about the semi-skeletons. -
Yay, some further brutal slaughtering battle scenes. Well, I told the Scorpions it was stupid to engage that way (although they maybe shouldn't be named "Scorpions", as their flag displays a bull's skull ) Samurai MOCs and battle scenes rule, excellent expansion of your original MOC
-
Very well built, I especially like the landscape and the details on the figs such as the headgears. I wonder where the legs of the two blue samurai is from? Beyond that great use of pieces. The commander of the Reds isn't very smart to attack his enemies on the hill, he'll hardly have a chance. And I also think they need a Japanese sounding name, but I never was good at that.

Outstanding, especially the hull is really amazing. I also like the little details like the gold parts. Nice small trading vessel.

Oh. Now I get it, but I don't think it's funny at all.

You certainly use some interesting techniques in this MOC. Although I dislike the use of arms as legs as they look too unnatural for me(as far as a minifigure can look natural ), this still is a creative idea I would never have thought about by myself. I like how you did the pistol shot a lot, it took me some time to figure out how you did it, but then I was really impressed. Good job on this MOC.

Those towers look really nice, I myself prefer the second version. I really like the use of the legs as cross windows.

Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives - The Conclusion
Peanuts replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Now this was a great game and a funny and bloody ending. You did a great job on pics and narrative, Hinck, as you did in Forest before, but I liked this one more. Also congrats to those who won and also the ones who passed, and especially Donut, who did both. Good game, everyone. -
I gotta say, I liked your first one much more. I'm afraid, I didn't get the mime one.

Now the monocle is a change which I really dislike, I'd prefer him a normal one. But his look is acceptable, not perfect but good.

No, not since you need a majority vote, which you can't reach with one scum and one townie, without someone voting for himself. For luck such case can't exist in most of the games, as they have rules like Hinck. Hinck, have you run out of Shadows characters? -

Just as it happened in Dystopia. But actually the townies still have, even if the scum outnumbers them, still a chance to win by night actions, e.g. if the scum killer is always blocked or their victim is always protected or such and the town manages to lynch a mafioso every day. It's not very likely at all, but still possible. But this is a thing each host has to decide for themselves, I guess. And it might end in a stalemate, if there's just a mobster and a paranoid gun owner left, who has told his role publicly before to avoid lynching or told it a trusted mobster via PM, so that the mobster doesn't attack him. This is very far fetched and almost impossible, but I love to think about weird scenarios. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Peanuts replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love those collectibles and I like the fact they are being continued. There's still plenty of good figs that are missing so far, so I'm not concerned they'll run out of ideas and let the quality of the motives decrease heavily (not talking about the quality of the plastic, that's something I can hardly judge). I don't collect them, but pick the ones I need/like, so my affords for the figs keep manageable, but feel with you collectors. BUt I'm no way against further lines of those figs. -

Sorry, I really didn't mean to bother him, honestly. As I said, there was no offence intended. I'll be patient. -

No offence, but Forest has ended over a month ago. Does anyone know about the status of Quarry's game? -
Wow, your brick-built hull looks amazing. It beats every LEGO by far. Can't wait to see the finished ship.

I didn't know TLG had done such a piece, seems like I don't know jack about Bionicle anymore... Well, nice MOC though. I really like the way you did the missile. Although I'd suggest to choose another flag on the top, the Chinese one doesn't look very Vikingish in my eyes, otherwise than the felicitously built structure.

I feel like I ask something very silly right now, but...I read through the comic a bit (although I thought I had read anything already, but appearantly I was wrong ) and I thought, Dalton was dead, or am I missing something? -
40 hours, now that's just great news. Although I guess it will be much longer with me...

Congrats, you two. I know you really deserve it. -
I found it really hard to play mine, as I didn't really know how to react on certain situations and discoveries, which is why I often said nothing. But I think it was rather easy to fly under the radar during the investigations, as I didn't really have to do anything but looking at every place in other people's houses. I didn't have to be afarid of something that would incriminate me or any other commie, as my and Matt's houses weren't able to be searched and Dolores' one had already been when I arrived, so I could just write frequently and play town without having the problem of talking nonsense, as I would in mafia games. Oh, and I don't like people using their night actions on themselves either. I think it's just half the fun if you find out your sanity by investigating yourself or are untouchable as you are always protected by yourself. Btw, I enjoyed the narrative pretty much, and the conclusion was great. (except for my death )

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Well, I wouldn't really like to see the kraken in the BP set, as I already wonder how large it is supposed to be. At $100 it should be (thinking propotionally) 2/3 of the QAR, which wouldn't be much. I actually think it would happen to be larger, but it can't be very close to the QAR set, as it's really much cheaper. So, if there's a kraken in it as well, it would mean the ship itself would be again a bit smaller, so we finally would end up with a midi-sized BP, which I wouldn't be very happy about. Long story short, I don't think we should exspect TLG to give us a set that's nearly as large as the QAR and contains a proper kraken and is ways cheaper. -
Well, I liked the game pretty much, although I was perfectly clueless for some times, although being one of the baddies. I think I srewed up at the last two chapters. But at least I won (though being killed by Garrison ). I didn't really dislike the mafia parts of the game, they at least helped to figure some things out and brought some accusations into the game. And btw, was Frankie neutral?
