Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Robianco replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They all have them. I think it's due to it being used as a Queen hairpiece with the hole to connect a crown or tiara piece to. Every one of those I've ever had in a set has had that hole. -
Tape the area you want to keep and use Brasso. Doesn't damage like steel wool. You can even put Brasso on the end of a wooden tooth pick if you wanted to get very detailed. On the subject of updating figs I've now updated my 9 Rebel Troopers with those legs and a variety of updated head with chin straps. Definitely looking much better. I was growing on Bricklink and noticed a white Mercedes torso with velcro neck piece. It's not got the padding detailing on the rest of the torso but I was thinking that brassy'ing off the Mercedes logo from the chest and adding Toryn Farr's legs would make a pretty good Bespin Escape Leia.

I wouldn't even mess around with them for the CMF figures. I haven't seen any that come close and the real thing is only £2.99.

Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!

The small file size is set just for things such as profile photo. Setting up a Flickr account or similar would be the better route. -

The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Robianco replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
I popped back in to Lego store today and ended up getting Riddler's Racer, Mr Freeze set and another GCPD pack for the Clown/Disco poly... they've got loads. Of the GCPD sets... was going to offer to pick one up to send down if helpful. -

Gotcha. I'm popping into the Lego Store on Monday for the polybag promo so I'll ask then. Cheers. -

Are the posters the glossy ones that are roughly A3 with a single fold? I was given around 4 different posters from Smyths around 3 weeks ago so wondered if they were the same? -

I think that's a pretty decisive answer to the 'is the moviemaker set real' question. -

Liverpool store has stock of the figure pack when I went in yesterday so I picked one up. £10.99. I quite like the bat signal build although it's very simple. (Asda also had the Batman/Killer Moth MM for £5 too) Monday 6th, as stated above, is the date for the Clown/Disco poly promo so that's Batmobile time for me. Just Tiger Print and Kiss Kiss suit to reach full Batsuit quota. I'm holding off on eBay for the moment though... People were paying way over the odds for the Clown/Disco Bats bag and it's free on Monday so there must be somewhere they'll end up circulating for less than their current 'aftermarket' price. -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Robianco replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I was scouting round as soon as it went online in the UK. I can't see a single new licensed figure part available. I might check for the purple hood from Nexo Knights for a Spoiler custom. -
Perhaps. ;)

"Burnin' people with the truth!" I think this was from Stash... probably due to my last comment in the Rude Moderators thread.

I understand people's frustration on 'group punishment' but I've never resented a teacher for that... I resented the person that did something then was happy to let others take the shared blame. I've had conversations with mods before now but I must say I think they only act when they feel like people are acting like children... which is the main irony of a site that should be populated by adults. It must frustrate the hell out of them to see a thread go south and then have members just say 'it's a rumour thread... I can talk about it if I like'.

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
Robianco replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah.. That was something I noticed on it too. It was just a bit too staged... on it's own it would look wrong so they've added some genuine figs in too. -

If you mean the one on Reddit it looked horrifically fake to me. It's photographed next to a Stormtrooper and below what looks like Vader and Bespin Guard. The design of the figure looks terrible and the printing looks just as bad. I'd be VERY surprised if it turnout to be anything else. -
I know it's something they've clamped down on in the past and I've seen several members who have had reductions in post count. It's definitely not something that's been aimed at you uniquely.

GCPD pack. They know about the poly but will only be giving it away during the official promo period. She thought that they may get the GCPD in time for the Feb promo if Leicester Square are selling now. She also said she'd enquire and let me know what she finds out when I see her on Thursday. -

The Deputy Manager at the Liverpool Store knew nothing about them and was under the impression Leicester Square may have decided to sell them early, maybe due to stock movement. I'll be back at the store on Thursday so maybe see if they have any then. -

I'll be popping into my local Lego store in the morning to check on the availability of the GCPD figure pack. I want one for the figures as they are and one for customs. Ill be interested to know if they're issuing this polybags early too. Shame he couldn't spell Leicester. -

Nice work, Cap. I'm being patient on the polybags for now. I picked up the Croc set for the bonus 50 points at the Lego store which tops me up to £10 off the Batmobile during the bag promo next month. Just Clayface, Freeze, Penguin and Riddler sets to get then. Anyone know when the next Argos 3 for 2 is? -
I think there must be an assumption that a theme exists for there to be future sets, whether they be rumoured or not. I think the problem with Dr Who is there's no indication at all that the Ideas or Dimensions set will expand into a theme with future releases. We've had information from the retailers catalogue and there's no mention of anything... we'll start to get reports from the toy fairs soon. I think that would be why the thread was locked... with no indication of any future Dr Who releases there's no potential sets to discuss. I would think that even the slightest teaser image that a new set is on the horizon might mean the thread being opened again. Thats just how I read it.

I must admit there's only been a couple of occasions that I've looked at a Bootleg and seriously thought it could be Lego but there's still differences. The guy who runs the Lego factory actually won't be in contact with much Lego so he's probably not the best person to ask. I reckon there's 100 people on here who could have spotted the fake and even just felt the plastic to do so.
-
I didn't think there was. I took a look myself... I think people can be very protective over themes and the thought of a thread dedicated to it being closed becomes an issue for them. In the case of Dr Who I can't remember seeing anything that indicates another release across any of Lego's line of products.
