The Iron Man figures are being picked up and sold from several places throughout Asia... With several different designs and various printing success. I own about 10 of them now. My Black suit Superman looks superb now I've replaced the head, hair and legs with legit Lego versions... Green Lantern looks great... Although printing has been hit and miss. Same for my Bizarro although I do tend to replace legs and hair with genuine Lego on all of these Asian variations. I'm now waiting on Green Arrow, Winter Soldier, Odin and a new Batman variation. There's even a copy of Christo's Flash with the game variation helmet. In fact there's quite a few replicas of Christo designs. I picked up a set of Lanterns for a Comic Con GL and it's pretty good although the dark green in the torso is a little too bright. The Saint Walker figure is pretty good as is the Atrocitus so I'll keep those but Los the others for a couple of pound. The Wolverine, Batman and Robin figures I've received have all been very good in terms of printing... Very good indeed. There's a couple of Spiderman variations I'll pick up as they work out only slightly more than a CMF and are a reasonable way to fill out some gaps... They'll never replace genuine TLG product where they exist but they're a very viable alternative to some custom figures at a tiny fraction of the cost.

Found: NISB Grand Emporium for $100
Robianco replied to rollermonkey's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I think that a bit heavy to throw on someone for an eBay purchase. This could be completely legit. If retailers can sell items at huge reductions... Especially in the US then what's with the huge assumption TLG are going to be knocking at anyone's door asking why they're receiving stolen goods. There's Rancor Pits being sold for $20 from retailers but if someone lists an item for $100 on eBay the buyers are branded as criminals? How about seeing how this pans out before people start throwing out judgement? -
After a brief chat to a Lego employee last week I doubt that TC-4 will be the May 4th Promo figure... they clearly stated that any TRUS exclusives are just that and won't be stocked by Lego (hanse they won't have any polybags in at any time) so I doubt they'd just stock up on them for May 4th as some kind of non-exclusive second chance to own. I couldn't call what they'd put out though... that yellow Luke from the DK book surprised the crap out of me!

Can someone pick me up a Rancor Pit for $20 and shop it to me in the UK?! ;)

The Christo Deathstroke was basically the Arrow appearance and I think that figure looked great. I don't think he needs a helmet as I think it's more of a hood (similar to Deadpool)

Yeah.... I actually bought the Galaxy Squad sets as a gift and spotted some games at the B&M near Queens Drive, Liverpool (Next to the Asda) Hopefully this will mean them getting some more sets in... Home Bargains did have a couple of the Creator sets in end of last year but Tesco were selling them cheaper anyway.

If this item was linked to credit card fraud I'd hope that TLG and eBay would take action first. If an item is listed on eBay I think it's up to them to take action on a listing that's iffy. Simply because an item is cheap doesn't always mean it's stolen or part of another crime. I think you'd be covered by PayPal for fees and eBay would inform you if the auction was found to be illegal. I'm sure you, as a buyer, wouldn't be reprimanded by TLG for a purchase on a legal and public site, if it's discovered that the item is indeed dodgy then you may be asked to return it and be refunded. There are many items listed by legitimate retailers for less than half price at times both in store and online. I'm sure these will still turn even the smallest margin for the retailer even at clearance so who's to say where these originated and what their original cost was? Let's not jump to conclusions but be cautious where it's necessary. -
I spotted those! Tesco on Park Road has A-Wing at £12, Droid Escape at £10, Council of Elrond at £15 and Iron Man Malibu Mansion at £17. Mandarin Showdown at £6.50. There was a few other offers as well but the shelves were emptying.

LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary Minifigure (2014)
Robianco replied to DarthR2-D2's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Odd choice? It's horrific! It just makes no sense at all... It's a poor looking figure if it is indeed the way they go... They've never done 'retro' figures before so I don't see them doing it now. I seem to remember seeing something saying it was a Luke figure but I'm hoping this is just a placeholder. -
I managed to pick that set up for £4 as it was replaced on the shelves. I must admit my Christo Catwoman is a favourite of mine.

I'd go with Wolverine's head and rub the sideburns off. The above torso with Dark tan legs and standard brown male hair as stated and you'e got Wuher... bartender to a wretched hive of scum and villainy!

I don't think it will just be the Sandcrawler but as nobody has seen what will be included I think it's better to reserve judgement. If they include the homestead, the metallic C-3PO and aunt Beru then were starting to get there.

Just as important as Martian Manhunter was the free Rapunzel with any friends purchase to take me over the £50 threshold! :P

Looking at that better image it certainly does look 10179ish... The plate patterns along the inner length of the mandibles match too. Hopefully this is a good sign but it's just hope at this point. More fuel to the fire of that rumour at least.

Just picked up my MM figure at the Lego Store... Although paying full amount for Jokers Steamroller was annoying as it's reduced at John Lewis... Glad to have MM though!

It certainly looks like new robe printing on Owen Lars and is that the first time we've had that hair in light bley? Is that taken from the new DK book I wonder?
-
John Lewis turned up trumps again. Dol Guldur Battle down to £37.99... The rest of the Hobbit sets also reduced. Batman & Jokers Steamroller down to £39.99. Rancor Pit down to £39.99 also.

That looks like the 7965 MF on the video... same single stud trans clear round 'light' at the front of each mandible. I hope we see Chewie with the remoulded Bowcaster in an OT set and that C-3PO is pretty much the ultimate version. The droids aren't figures I get particularly excited about but I think that's about as good as that figure will ever get so I hope it sees the light of day. The metallic dome on R2 from the Ewok Village set was a nice little upgrade for him although the amount of detail TLG are putting on their figures tells me there's more 'battle damage' to go on R2 yet. If the MF UCS rumours are true then I think it's a win all round. Yes... it would be ideal to put out something like a Slave 1 that hasn't had the UCS treatment (and when I say UCS we all know what it means even if none of them are technically considered UCS anymore) first but if not I think the 10179 Falcon has generated enough interest in the secondary or BL market to ensure that any new edition will fly off the shelves. Ideally it would be different. Those that have the 10179 get to keep it and it will hold some of it's after market value but we would have an updated version with some of the criticisms of the set addressed (interior anyone?!). The Sandcrawler itself isn't the most exciting vehicle but as a playlet it has big potential to really round off Tatooine as far as TLG are concerned. ROTJ Tatooine has been taken care of and we now have the Cantina, albeit a relatively small one. Getting the Lars Homestead, and I understand that still a relatively big IF, would pretty much tick all that Tatooine has to offer for TLG on the OT except for maybe a Tusken Raider attack set of none are included. I think we still need a Bantha. Whether we get a small section of Docking Bay 94 as a battle pack or an addition to the cantina we'll have to wait and see... but it's unlikely I think. I do actually hope we get black skeletons for Lars Homestead though... I'll BL those if not! ;)

I quite like the backpack on that. I didn't really have a beef with the whole backpack/helmet mould as it was but that printed stud backpack works quite well. The new facial part of the mask looks pretty mint so overall I'm happy with that. Add me to the dislike of the CW faces. Some of those design changes grate on me... I think there's enough flexibility in the standard Lego face design to not need the CW style.
-
Not that different... Medium blue torso with dark blue collar area... The cloak didn't seem to be 2 coloured but I didn't see anything much different in that one to the old Cloud City version.
-
That just looks like the old Lando figure with the new head on it. Nothing too out of the ordinary. I do think we'll get that figure in a Cloud City set pretty soon though... or at least some point in the next 18 months.
-
I would expect it to be different but hopefully on a similar scale. There was certainly room for a little improvement judging by some of the mods I've seen and I'd love to see an improved cockpit area with glass maybe? (Plastic... But you know what I mean). Anything close to the UCS is a must buy!
-
It could never be a bad thing for a re-release... I mean how many people own them... Or want one... Or BL extra ones. It would bugger up the used market that's for sure!
-
Ha! That's what happens when a man tries to multitask!, Joker obviously! I've got the Riddler set and the Batcopter... I'll probably make 2 trips to get a couple of the MM figs and sell one. That GL figure is almost identical to a Christo custom I have. Looks like those Chinese customs of the Comic Con are the best way to pick that fig up and replace the hair and legs with official Lego versions.
