  1. This looks great... I wouldn't worry too much about scaling as I think this one is FAR more accurately scaled than the 'soon to be released' AT-AT MF (although the TLG version is VERY cute).
  2. I think it's a great set... even as a smaller SD I think the overall scaling works really nicely on it. I always thought the bridge area was too large on the old one and I actually didn't like the scale of the minifigs inside it as it made them seem like giants!
  3. As mentioned in several posts I've always loved the ITT.. in all it's forms... I'm even quite partial to the stupidly dangerous holding pens on the side. I really like your version here... it actually looks a bit more PT than OT... not that it's a bad thing. It has a 'tank like' quality... really solid and imposing. As it should! :)
  4. Once the order has arrived with Engtaobao you then have to select your shipping option and pay for that. It actually worked out a little more than AE but I went for the express shipping to get it here quick. I figured if I get it around and have it on eBay quickly I've got a good chance of making my money back giving me the ZEA for nothing. I think they were one of the first sets that SY put out... along with the Superman set... everything about them feels a bit iffy... Since then the legs moulds are far better, arm moulds, torso... basically every mould has been improved as well as the plastic used and not forgetting the quality of the design and print. I still think the clone of the Batman wave this year was a high point in quality for them... they were almost identical to the official figures even when compared next to each other. If they show that level of quality consistently going forward then I'll pick up every one of their figures that Lego doesn't produce.
  5. That TDK Batman doesn't look too bad actually.. It'll be a decent placeholder until I get the Tumbler set. I'm so glad the ZEA has turned out well... I just hope that some day we get a decent copy/custom of the 2011 version and my collection will be complete. I know some people will say that your collection is never complete until you have an original version but to be honest the quality of some of the SY figures has been superb and with proper arms, hands and cape this should be about as good as anyone need get without paying £120 upwards for a figure. If it was Decool I might feel a little differently about it.
  6. That ZEA looks pretty good... I've got spare arms and purple hands and baseball bat waiting to go on mine. How does the Tumbler Batman look to you up close? I've got 3 sets ordered so hopefully I'll have at least one good one in there although I plan on getting the Tumbler at some point anyway. I'm glad it's the bearded angry ZEA face too. I think I may have to order a regular purple cape from BL to make it that little bit more authentic although I like that they've done the scalloped Bat style on the cape. I take it there was no leaflets inside showing what SY may have in store for us next?
  7. Not in any sets but there are those that have them available should you so wish: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=16878&colorID=1
  8. Personally I think Disney handle their franchises pretty well. They know their audiences and they produce good material for them. With a 5yr old daughter I've watched a LOT of Disney over the last few years and the quality is undoubtable. With regards to Rebels it's a wait and see... Seeing as there hasn't been a single episode yet I'm not sure how people can really judge it. I'm also not going to get too fussed over how a single character either does or doesn't live up to his/her gender stereotype or whether they strictly adhere to their entirely fictitious and open-to-debate religious or social rules. It's a cartoon... for kids... with spaceships... and robots. Now if the story is a good one and, as a Star Wars fan, like the show... regardless of how much it fits in to a particular part of the SW universe... then my interest in the Lego sets would grow and there's a good chance I'll pick them up. Obviously with there being a chance of some serious OT crossover then happy days (hopefully). Of all of the CW stuff I thought Ahsoka was an excellent character... Anakin was nowhere near the petulant, moody, idiot that was badly portrayed by HC in the films so I warmed to him a little... unfortunately I've never liked the styling of the CW figures so I've never picked up the sets... so I hope Ventress (another excellent character) has regular Lego styling for the Azure Angel set. Clones also don't interest me... I must admit I'm so glad they don't do anything for me as the amount of different variations available in Lego form is dizzying.
  9. When Vader hears about this you two are in trouble! I like the fact you were so hungover you couldn't be bothered translating the end! :) As always there's a great atmosphere and sense of place in your MOCs. I like the Bith checking out the Falcon taking off too!
  10. I end up getting more than one of each set to find the best print then replace heads and legs for Decool sets and also arms/hands for SY sets... They're normally pretty close to official figures then so you should be fine! As long as you get a good print and any parts that can be replaced with official Lego are switched then they'll sit nicely with genuine figures.
  11. Wow... The less said about that the better! I'm also unsure whether the Batman we thought was the 2011 SDCC is indeed that version... It looks different to me now we have a slightly larger image.
  12. The price of one set of those on AE are a touch less than I paid for three sets. Has anyone seen one of those Silver Surfer figures? It should be a very simple print so fingers crossed even if the rest of the figures are iffy there's hope that would me ok.
  13. I accidentally order 2 spare! That's why I ordered the three sets... keep those 2 figures... then sell the other 10 figures! ;) Yeah... same as KCMatze for me... purple hips and regular blue legs... also replace the arms and white hands while you're at it... add Magneto's cape and you're done. Don't forget Zod's legs and Supe's head and hair from the Metropolis Showdown set while it's cheap... grab a black cape and then use the Black Supes torso from the SY set and you've got the SDCC Black Suit Superman... they'll both look pretty spot on to the real thing.
  14. Sod it... I ordered 3 of the Batman sets from Engtaobao. Cost me £9 for the three sets... even if shipping to the UK costs me £10 from Engtaobao I'll sell the figures from the other sets and the 2 that aren't SDCC from the third set and make my money back. Hopefully they'll be quicker this way than waiting for AE or eBay.
  15. Well I managed to register with Taobao but most of the sellers only sell to China on there... or at least that's what I can see with the translated site... and the fact things don't seem to go into the shopping cart. Looks like I'll have to wait for AE!
  16. On Taobao the set of 4 is working out at around £4 with shipping. That's fine for me! Just need to succeed in joining and then I can order!
  17. Any Chinese members feel like placing an order? ;)
  18. It just seems impossible to register with Taobao... Looks like I'll have to wait for AE or eBay!
  19. I've tried to view that site but had no luck due to the language issue. Can you PM me the link too... I'd like to take a look. *whoops* need to refresh screen before posting! I'm hoping Google Translate does it's job with this on Chrome!
  20. The Bozhi figures I have actually aren't compatible with Lego as the torso mould is really thick and you can't attach Lego, SY or Decool legs to them. Just a little bit of caution needed there.
  21. Sheng Yuan doing Zur En Arrh is an absolute result! Come on, boys... Don't let me down!! And is it just me or does the one with the Batwing look like the previous SDCC Batman?
  22. While you're off on your crusade you'll have to report any customiser that sells a figure that utilises a design produced by Lego, such as those used in games, that hasn't been released by Lego... or any other likeness held by a license holder. These are also producing figures that, although printed on Lego, break many copyright laws against Lego as well as the license holders such as Marvel and DC. These same customisers are considered to offer a service to Lego fans in giving them many figures that may never see the light of day and as such fill out their collection. These customisers are also part of a community that support each other and buy each other's figures allowing each other to continue in their venture to offer unique figures. By the way... these customisers I mentioned produced the figures that you've used as your avatar on the FB page. But don't let that stop you... I've bought clone brand Lego figures... take SDCC figures for example... where is it in Lego's interest to stop someone selling a Phoenix SDCC clone for £2 when the only other alternative is to buy a genuine one from a scalper for £200? Why not buy the clone and then put £198 back into Lego's coffers by buying genuine Lego sets? I'd never think of picking up a full set of an obviously cloned official Lego set (such as some of the Superhero range and now the Microfighters SW sets) but if someone is producing decent quality figures that Lego isn't... then I'm interested. It leaves me more money to buy the Lego stuff I want. If Lego made the figures in the first place I wouldn't be looking. I think that's what most people here do... at least those that have picked up any of the clone brands minifigures themselves.
  23. The Stahlhelm with the flag on the side looks like a poor version of the new Brickforge one. Maybe since having a German Stormtrooper Action Man when I was a kid I've always liked German soldiers... I've actually started to build a set of Lego Germans mostly from Citizen Brick prints. I'd be interested to have a good look at the torso of these and see if they were compatible with Lego and if there was any kind of colour match with official TLG plastics.
  24. The brick built HB that was on Lego Ideas is by far the best HB I've seen... and you get to put Iron Man into the armour!
