  1. There's a nice tutorial to remedy your situation here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921
  2. Link would be good for that... I think I'd order at that price.
  3. There's always the possibility of a reverse Flash as featured in that poster we saw recently... Modok does seem like a one figure deal though.
  4. Just found it. With shipping to the UK that's working out at £13 which is way too much for them. I'll hang fire until the regular sellers get them and the price comes down.
  5. Any links to these new Iron Man sets?
  6. As much as Vader has recently been in expensive sets I think they simply choose the figures right for that set so if they had a $25 set that needed Vader in then they wouldn't just shift the price point because of it. Look at the DC range for example... 3 figures in a new set including a Batman variant people actually want along with Green Lantern AND Sinestro... figures people have been clamouring for for years... all in a $20 set.
  7. Yeah... I've been tempted to pick that older one up. I've been close a few times on eBay. The Interceptor would be fantastic too. To be honest... I think we'd all like a full set (maybe even a TIE Bomber) of the same quality as 9492.
  8. The 9492 set is such a beautiful TIE... I really hope the next variant is Vader's TIE Advanced.
  9. I think I'm going to reverse my current orange one to grey when I pick up the new orange version. Is it much of a change to mod the old Battle of Hoth one to match the new release?
  10. Just another Gunners and Imperial Guards set. You can't have enough DS Gunners. After seeing the alternate colour A-Wings I think I'm going to pick another of those up for a Green Wing.
  11. I didn't want to put this in the rumours thread as it's probably past that now but there was a member who said they'd seen an inventory for a store which included the fabled UCS Slave 1 for this month. If we were getting one would we not have heard about it by now? I know Brickset has assigned it a number and it may be slated for a later release... I just thought I'd ask those with better experience in this sort of thing than I.
  12. Is the weight the whole set including the box? There are also manuals in the boxes as well as other promotional material which add weight without being 'parts'. 2 manuals for the AT-AT etc whereas one for smaller sets.
  13. Not necessarily SW related but you may want to peruse this thread for more info on them: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=94997
  14. I agree with that... I used to search for custom figs quite a lot but now I have the 'legit' customisers saved as it's a nightmare trying to search custom figs without pages and pages of the knock offs.
  15. The 66 Batmobile is a work of art. An icon of its time and of the Super Hero genre. I'm not so sure we'll get another variant over the SDCC chibi version.
  16. It's odd as the SW figures they clone, as far as I can tell, aren't particularly rare... so they're just a cheap alternative to regular Lego... usually for the market they're made in i.e. China. The internet being what it is means that they're sold all over the world... Listing it in the Lego section of eBay is cheeky but I normally watch out and if anything isn't listed as Lego in the name then it's usually not. Sheng Yuan and Decool have actually offered a service to Lego buyers in the last year by producing knock offs of the SDCC figures as well as other figures not currently being produced by Lego, producing custom figures for some ranges in the same way that other customisers do... albeit much cheaper and with their own moulded parts. Rightly or wrongly being able to pick up those figures for less than the cost of a CMF rather than £150 upwards each (or £4 instead of £800 for 2 NYTF figures!) means I get to actually spend more money with Lego and other customisers rather than with scalpers or other profiteers in the secondary market. Nothing will replace a genuine Lego item in my collection but for SDCC exclusives etc then a well made knock off will do the job just fine for now. Now you're aware of their existence just keep an eye out... and be aware of other packs of 8 or 6 figures across other ranges. With Lego if it seems to good to be true then it usually is!
  17. Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't totally sure but I just remembered something from the show. Either way he's alive and well! ;)
  18. I think Agents of Shield pretty much told us that Coulson survived Loki's attack in Avengers... someone mentions about how he'd changed since New York and it was kind of intimated at the time that he wasn't dead. There's plenty of opportunity to get a Coulson but he's also incredibly easy to create a custom of if it's something you really need.
  19. He's always been very reliable and my last couple of orders to the UK have been quicker than in the past but it can still take a couple of weeks.
  20. Wow. I can't believe someone would just up and go after 6 years. By the brief feedback I've seen it sounded like a really nice build. I hope he reconsiders. There are a lot of really nice Steampunk MOCs at the moment.
  21. I echo Brickdoctor's words. Get kits you like. If they're worth something then whoopee... if not... then you have kits you like. My thing when I was a kid was Star Wars figures. Much more than Lego. I played with them every single day of my childhood. If I'd have kept them carded I'd have made an absolute fortune but I'd still rather have had those years of playing. It bothers me to see carded SW figures from back in the day. Those things were meant to be played with. If you do want to get Lego sets that you think may be worth something in the future then I'd personally take a look at modular sets. Once they're retired they can steadily rise... there's not too many of them and they're regular... they'll also be on the shelves for years and you'll have a pretty good warning when they're about to go. Green Grocer and Corner Cafe are good examples. They appeal to AFOLs so you have the right kind of aftermarket spending power. The only modular style build I have is the Haunted House and I think it's a fantastic set... if it's worth something in the future then so be it... My 5 year old already has her eye on it though so it'll probably go to her but until then I'm very glad I bought it.
  22. The smile just seemed the right kind of 'cocky' that Johnny Storm seems to me. I'm always happy to replace it with something better if you find it though! ;)
  23. Ordered! Danke!
  24. Not yet... but any of the Bozhi sets are roughly the same price. Somewhere between £7 and £12. I think it's more down to whether you want the box! The 2 Iron Man platform sets are £7 each... I'd just be a little surprised if they were to make that big a jump in price point. Especially considering the figure in the platform set reviewed looked like a misprint. Rare for SY but they may just be using them as a vehicle to put out some of the poorer printed figures which would be a shame. I may be proved wrong.
