I would find out if he just wants something Ghostbusters. Because if he does Playmobil had some set out more recently and I am guessing better priced.

Maybe that is the point, their is nothing wrong with it. You are looking for some flaw that is not their, now a few years down the road their might be some new part you want to try to incorporate into the model. But this is just future speculation. Now, I am starting to think this could of been put into the "town section" and got more of a response you are looking for. I am thinking it gets more traffic than the sci-fi section. And like I said this does look more modern than some of the more "standard sci-fi stuff" that shows up around here.

Fine if you want something, it could be because it is a boring subject matter. When their is a ton of cool looking spaceships, a "modern day" space station does not seem that interesting. Not to mention this part of the site might not be that busy. Next thing the staff just don't want one word comments, you know like "that's awesome". Plus, it probably not help that you are begging for comments. I posted stuff that got zero comments, so you are doing better than me in some ways. I guess the best way to look at it is people are looking at your stuff, and if they are not saying anything or complaining it can't be all bad.

[MOC] Microscope Transformer from Set 70842: Emmet's Couch Mech
samurai-turtle replied to alanyuppie's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Not to get to far off topic but, blame the original toys from Japan. Hasbro grabbed whatever line of "transforming" toy they could and marketed here in USA. I am sure their is more information online if you want to learn more check it out... Now to get back on topic. I was thinking like the original transformers most had a second color / character and this model could have the same thing, if someone really wanted to do something like that. -

If it comes on black I would use that color, Preceptor (or certain versions of him) have some black on him. But hey this is your version of Preceptor... -
What was the last movie you watched?
samurai-turtle replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
I got The Legend of Zelda (the animated series) and watched it today. For those that don't know it first aired after the first game but before the second one. So, their is a lot of lore missing if it would be made today. Not to mention the show was paired up with the Super Mario Bros. Show at the time. So on Fridays instead of a Mario being showed Zelda was on the agenda. The episodes were only 15 minutes long and a total of 13 episodes, so the total run time of the whole series is about 3 hours. For the plot the "Saturday morning cartoon" villain Gannon was always trying to get the Tri-force of Wisdom. But the show did suffer from poor writing. The main example is Link mostly being a goof half the time. Not to mention his annoying catchphrase "excuse me princess" or some variation of it, some times a couple times in a single episode. Plus, Link always asking Zelda for a kiss and never seemingly getting said kiss. Zelda was no damsel in distress half the time she was saving Link and the other half she was seemingly being mean towards Link. Probably the best part of the series is the sound effects / music, they use the same sounds from the game. It does give off a nostalgia vibe (at least to me). -
A local Meijer store put out a "box" of series 19. So, I ended up getting six figures (fright knight, monkey king, explorer, pizza guy, bounty Hunter & fox suit). Plus, I also got a DVD for The Legend of Zelda (the antimated series) for about $7 at Walmart. But I guess we are not spouse to care about that since it is not LEGO.

[MOC] Microscope Transformer from Set 70842: Emmet's Couch Mech
samurai-turtle replied to alanyuppie's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
It's a LEGO Perceptor! The "real" one has more red on him but for an alternate model this is pretty good. You even have a hidden "tank mode" just like the original toy. -
Is that a non LEGO piece I see their. Sorry, about the "double quote" but I am having trouble editing stuff.

samurai-turtle replied to Mister Phes's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So this is going to air on FOX? I figured it would be on some obscure cable/satellite channel. -

Ok, I can't figure out what the "red road" is made with, is it some sort of snot technique? For some reason I think it looks like some sort of foam.

I am surprised no else just put a list out, so here I go. 1) online gamer - not sure if he comes with a poster or a big trading card for some game. Yes he does come with a game controller. 2) shower guy - not only does he have a shower cap, he has a green rubber ducky and a scrubbing brush. 3) ghostly fright knight - having a transparent sword and a "bat" shield, along with the helmet and armor, he also has a ghostly head to match. 4) "chima" monkey king - at first I thought it was some sort of chima figure. But it is more obviously the king with a fancy staff. 5) lady programmer - coming what looks like a new hair part and a laptop computer, she also comes with a robot. 6) girly mummy - come with a gold scorpion and a new hair/hat part. 7) "Jonny Thunder" - showing up with a chameleon and a magnifying glass with whatever else he has in his backpack or brimmed hat. 8) she is the fire chief - a basic firefighter with a new helmet/hair combo and a megaphone in a new color with a printing. 9) dog walker - does not come with one dog but two, plus a green shovel and some "remains". Yes one of the Dogs is a "Weiner dog", the other is a French bulldog. 10) pizza suit guy - getting the watermelon part in a new color and he comes with a pizza poster. 11) black-tron bounty Hunter - this all black armored figure only has the yellow tri-force only his chest for any marking, also he is carrying around a red wanted poster. The poster looks like part of book cover part to me. 12) flamingo lady - she come with what could be a plastic flamingo and a plant as she goes around garden around her yard. 13) rugby player- this green helmeted player also comes with a new ball ? witch I am sure will show up in other sports sets. 14) fox suit guy - probably the same one seen in the LEGO movie 2, he also has a bag and a chicken. 15) intensive Care Bear - this colorful Bear suit figure also has part of the rainbow (new print) and someone's heart, to show he is serious... 16) the bicyclist -surprise this helmeted figure comes with a bicycle (a blue mountain bike witch look new to me). Hopefully if you haven't seen the leaflet yet this will help you out. At the top of the leaflet it says 16 to collect and basically "17 to collect" & "18 to collect". What I am wondering is could this be some sort of miss print?

Well I was thinking the "guys" that first showed up here... https://brickset.com/sets/theme-Ninjago/subtheme-The-Final-Battle I remember them getting called "Stone Demons". Plus I never watched the TV show. Not that Oni are not a type of demon. The first time I remembered hearing Oni was from Onimusha 2. And in that game they came off as some sort of "good guy". But the "second time" I heard of Oni was from the Jackie Chan cartoon show, and in that the Oni was more of the traditional "bad guy".
-
Ninjago had Stone Demons as an enemy. And their Possession wave "legs" has been used in other themes (like others have mention).
-
Well it looks like you have an old Ninjago spinner in your pile. And also a Ninjago shrine from the first snake sets. I am thinking from Kai 's transforming bike set.

I ended up getting some more Spinjitzu sets 70661 Zane & 70662 Cole for $7.50 each from Meijer. (I probably get Kai to at some point from Wal-Mart, I seem him there for $7 and he seem easier to find in general.) Plus Meijer had some sets 50% off and one of them was 76114 Spider-Man's Spider Crawler for $20. I thought it was to good of a deal to pass up. (Also I noticed the Batman's Mech; a Duplo LEGO Movie 2 and the Hulkbuster sets were 50% off also.)

Latest updates on LEGO set sales
samurai-turtle replied to gylman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Meijer seems to want get rid off most of their LEGO stock because a lot of it is on clearance for about %30 off. Target was clearing stock too some of it was LEGO. Edit - It seems Wal-Mart started clearance of their LEGO stock yesterday (it looks to be 30% off at the moment). -
Meijer seems to want to get rid of most of their LEGO stock because a lot of it is on clearance for about %30 off. So I ended up getting 75225 elite praetorian guard battle pack for like $11.25 (plus tax). And then I got 70660 spinjitzu Jay for $7.50 (plus tax). (You should be able to get 70659, 70661 and 70662 for $7.50+tax too.) Plus Meijer (might) have 5005250 "banana guy" for $1.50 (that is %75 off the "regular" price). I also notice target clearance some stuff off too. I don't remember exactly what was getting clearance.

So I was messing around with 70503 The Golden Dragon (the old/first set). And I notice the arm joints at the shoulders were stiff on Lloyd (The Golden Ninja). As I was trying to loosen the joints I thought just taken arms out would help. That is when I broke the arms off. Now I am wondering has this happen to anyone else? Is the plastic just poor in the first place? Then after messing with the torso A little more I was able to get the "rest of the arms" out. And now I am wondering if putting in some "green arms" in the torso would look alright.
