Heroica RPG 2.0 - Mission #0: Last Of Its Kind
samurai-turtle replied to Endgame's topic in Heroica! The RPG!
/// I thought you have hearing problems, or just confused. Plus I do know of emotions, just not a "Grand Master" of said emotions. -
Well then are we going to be using the "OoC" (Out of Character) for non story stuff? I guess as long it is clear. Mostly it is just what we are familiar with from the old game. But it doesn't seem like a big problem. But, their is always the underlined, as far as I know that is not getting used for anything.

@Classic_Spaceman I don't think you need to bold all you "talk speech" like that. In the past the bold was used for examining / exploring and for battle commands. Plus, I believe italics was used for internal thought (or descriptions). But I guess it is really up to @Endgame at this time.

Well my local Walmart started to put out the new stuff. And some of it was the DC mini figures, so I got the last three figures I wanted.

DC Superheroes 2020 - Rumors & Discussion
samurai-turtle replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
If you are looking for DC Mini figures check you local Meijer store (if one is close to you) I seen them out at two different stores. Hopefully it will not be picked over by now. -
I found a DC Mini figure "the Green Lantern" at Meijer. And a poly bag 30453 Captain Marvel and Nick Furry (also at Meijer) for $5 each. Then I found a 70665 Samurai Mech for $7 at a Walmart. It must be clearance season because I also found a Lloyd and Garmadon spinjitzu set for $9 at some Walmarts (a couple days ago).

Hello, I had a desire to make a "classic spaceship". And having 75176 Resistance Transport Pod it looked like a good start to make a spaceship. Then getting 70821 Emmet & Benny's 'Build & Fix' Workshop! And using at least one of my 70841 Benny's Space Squad I have most of the spaceship. But then finding a extra 70660 Spinjitzu Jay for cheap I threw him in to the set. I am saying Jay stoled the spaceship from Benny because Benny was the original pilot. The next thing you are wondering why is it called the "Mini-Beetle" first it kinda looks like a bug, second the inside reminds me of a minivan, and I couldn't think of a better name. Now for the action shot. As you can see the ship has (two photon launchers on top of the ship with two ion cannons in the front of the ship. Plus, it has a single distortion drive (you can see the space "warp" in the back). With two sub light thrusters for the extra mobility. Ok, now for the rest of the pictures. (Sorry, for any poor picture quality I took the pictures on my cellphone.) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=578780

First off I think you still have "2 points" you could add to your character's stats. Now I will see if I can answer some of your questions. 1- Yes, vitality and health are the same thing, it just a naming thing. 2- Defend mostly came out of the fact in the "old game" their was nothing. You just stood there talking a hit. Witch seems dumb to me, now with "defend" you can take a "Shield" and try to absorb a hit, not taking any damage (hopefully). 3- Kinetic or Energy, it is either or. So a Kinetic Weapon is like using a "modern day" hand gun. Where using a Energy Weapon is like using a "Star Trek Phaser". 4- I think you can pick them from a set that was stated in the rules. For example the "Spy Kit" that you choose you have two different Weapons, so if your character decides to carry a "gun" and a "knife" the next thing would be what type (element/energy/kinetic) and the range would be idealy decided by the weapon. 5- I would think it is the maximum. But at the same time I would think a "long range weapon user" would want to keep some space from the target. Where Arsenal type weapon seems to have maximum range having that ability to hit anywhere on the battle grid. Not to mention the shorter range weapons. 6- I am thinking no, mostly trying to keep things simple. But that could change in the future. 7- I think you are the first person to bring that up. I am not sure about the first part but the second thing the "cutting" could be done during the exploring part and I would think how "proficient" you are with your skill set. 8- Not usually, in the "old game" it was at the end of Battle you would revive, unless someone used an item on your character to get them up sooner. 9- I think it would be done in one post. If you read any of the old quest you could get an idea. As for the teleportation stuff hopefully the "numbered" battle grid will keep things straight. 10- As far as I know that is it... 11- That has not been brought up yet. Water Brick Down hasn't mentioned how it might be done yet. 12- Again look at number 11. 13- It seems like that is what the proficiencies will cover. 14- Some of that might covered under something else. Or your character is some sort of cyborg. @Waterbrick Down Are you planning to run this "test quest" after the holidays?

Well I guess that's what happens when their is no advertising for a movie. I guess the last Charlie's Angels had more advertisement and no one seemed know that movie came out. And we know that one didn't do so well too (it sounds like the writing wasn't that great also).

Themes LEGO should discontinue
samurai-turtle replied to Lego David's topic in General LEGO Discussion
So we can call them Dam Troll Dolls I wonder how people feel if this was more common knowledge. Just think we can say "Get rid of those Dam Troll Dolls!" And we would technically be right. -
Part of sort of feels like I am getting pick on but I digress. I am not to familiar with Destiny, but the way you describe it kinda sounds similar to what "He-Man and the Masters of Universe". A legendary barbarian hero in a world with advance technology and magic. I also guess you could say the same thing with "Marvel's Thor". You mentioned time travel something I haven't thought of. But at the same time I have a quest idea about the "heros" getting shrunk down to microscope size and basically complete the whole thing in someone's backyard. Now that I think about I did have idea where the "heros" get sent to the future and they are trying to get back their own time.

Basically yes, you need some moderator to approve the game.

I kinda wonder something about "The Force Awakens" and "The Last Jedi". Would it been better if it was titled. The Force Awakens The Last Jedi: Part 1 The Force Awakens The Last Jedi: Part 2 The way the movies are paced basically minutes apart, would this been better? Kinda like the last Harry Potter movie was split up.

You got to think "Heroica" more of a hub area. Not sure if you ever played any of the LEGO Star Wars video games, but they had a hub zone where you could go to a "episode" and then a "chapter". If you look at "Heroica" it self, originally it was just a couple of LEGO set(s) of a board game(s). But then @Sandy took the name and put some faux D&D rules to the forum game (or version one). Then their was some talk of a space version of Heroica (1.0) when the first version got cleared up, it was later that version two got some more talk to what to do, and even later (right now) is their even some version one rules for Heroica (2.0). But having a more generic name (even though their is some sort of history to it) gives a more open end options to the game. Since in the original game everyone was a mercenary. They had the freedom to join one of the three so called faction that was formed up. Even though not to much was ever done with the factions. And I got a feeling the same thing will happen if similar factions happen in the newer version (2.0). But right now the factions / companies / governments should be considered more for stories ideas. Let's say I need some one to be the aggressive force to the "Blue Falcons" well why not the "Forestmen" or the "Bull Knights" and I am sure I could think up two more factions to fight the "Blue Falcons". Heck, you might want to use all the mentioned factions. Well that is just the "space" stuff. What we are saying is why not throw in stuff from Ninjago, Castle, Exo-Force, Nexo Knights, Town/City, Pirates and Mixels. Who is to say that it didn't evolve into some sort of advance society. Or another example is similar to what Happened in the LEGO movie(s) that was a mash up of everything. Or another example is Star Trek, some will say it is a "western in space" and then you look at some of the episodes evolving "gods", "ghost", rock monsters, robots and even "Space Nazis". And you see it is a little more than just a "space western". Most of us have been around a while and know the history of the game. It is more or less just excitement for potential of space at the moment. The first version seem to limit the place (i.e. only on one planet) and the technology (i.e. no modern guns and beyond). But if someone wants to run around with a "magic sword" to quest, no one is going to stop you from doing that. Heck, if you want your character not to get how a "energy weapon" works and just think it is "magic" that is fine too.

First off one really wants to be forced into a single faction (like @Kintobor stated) like you are seemingly trying to do. If someone wants to be a former, current or "a future want to be" that is fine. Second you should look at more as an Easter egg like @Waterbrick Down 's M'tronics since that is supposed to be M'Tron or an equivalent. If you look around the older quest their is a lot of these Easter eggs to be found. Third who is to say Battle Electronics doesn't just become Blacktron. Battle Electronics could be an early version of Blacktron or just a regional division. Plus companies buy each other I am going to use a local example "Driggs Farms of IN" got bought out by "Dean's Foods" years ago, now the products made their (ice cream) never change and is still being made (for now). Fourth you could just make a fraction of "space elves" but we shouldn't be calling them "Vulcans and Romulans from Star Trek". Their is some potential problems like legal issues or from a creative story telling point, and we should try to be some what creative here. The 5th point none of this might not even be used. Unless I run a quest and use Battle Electronics for some stuff.

Across the Snow: (One-shot RPG)

I think I would want some more information before I agree to anything more.
