  1. We have already gotten Grindelwald´s Escape - 75951 from that movie, off course that do not mean that we could not get more sets sooner or later from the film.. The Diagon Alley set and the bricktober set will show up on a wider geographical scale soon I guess, maybe as GWP, but that do not necessarily mean that we will get a normal wave of sets at the same time.. By the way I expect the polybag set to pop up in a magazine or similar as well, would not be surprised if we get another polybag released either
  2. Well they have Duplo Zoo (and even circus) all the time, so i do not think the hole "animals in captivity" is the main problem, probably more to do with what they think will sell in minifig scale (older children).. And they probably found out that a fun fair series was a safer bet then a zoo series, If anything i think friends may get a zoo theme some day (much more animals included in those sets, than in minifig ones unfortunately).. Lion I am sure we will get soon, they only need to make a new head mould for the big cat (hopefully we get a female lion at the same time).. The elephant is one of the few animals that still have not gotten a updated mould, but they are getting close with this years mammoth.. The zebra and the panda may get away with a recolor, but probably every animal you mention needs the right theme to pop up. If it do we can get almost any animal we can think of, Lego are really hard to predict what animal they will make next, but at least they have been giving us quite a few recently Since zoo probably is not happening, a African safari theme would most likely give us most new moulds (a farm or farm castle theme would also be excellent)
  3. There is no way a wave will be released in January in the USA and the same wave in June in Europe, so that is not a issue.. This is not the first time you have been 100% sure of something and ended up being wrong in the end.. This time I hope you are right, but most signs so far point to that the next HP/FB wave is next summer.. Off course Lego may keep a January wave top secret and you somehow found out about it, but I for one will not get my hopes up, if you are right I will take it as a bonus wave
  4. Thanks a very interesting read "Harry Potter was the most successful LEGO theme by far in August, as the licence, along with L.O.L. Surprise! helped boost toy sales for the month. Of the total Harry Potter product sales across all brands, the LEGO Collectible Minifigures made up almost one third of all sales." The chance for a second series of minifigs did not become any lesser now
  5. Me too! Even though the sets are selling like hot cakes, Lego is following a plan so they can not just flick their wand and have a new wave magically appear.. The good sales could affect waves further down the road, so they get green lighted and or get more sets in them
  6. It usually takes a few months before the D2C pop up in normal shops, so give it time
  7. Well in Norway the MF and a lot of other D2C are available in different shops, so I see no reason the same will not apply for the HC as well.. Give it a few months
  8. Not from any reliable source I have seen at least It backs up what the store owner told me (see post higher up on this page).. But summer 2019 is not bad, was sure we would get a second wave either in 2019 or worst case 2020 for the next FB film, now we probably get a 3 wave in 2020 instead
  9. Talked to him today, and he did unfortunately not get any HP/FB sets to order in the winter wave There is still hope since Lego apparently hold some sets back sometimes to keep them under wrap longer, but a summer wave seems like the most likely next wave (if we get one before that it is a bonus)
  10. 5 more D2C this year, another fairground set this year and re-release of a vestas wt that never was released in the first place?! SCEPTIC
  11. Nice set! Wonder if that includes shop@home as well
  12. If Lego wants to make a COS set they will have no trouble in doing so and making it fit with the other sets, and as you say that solution do not have to be under the GH.. I sent a mail to Lego and asked about the bricktober-set.. Apparently not the first to do it, since I got a answer full of HP references.. Basically they said they could not tell me, since that would ruin the surprise, but to keep close attention to the shop@home page since the magic happen there first. So I assume it will show up there in Norway also
  13. Not sure if this is mentioned already (get confused with all the books coming ): I searched for "Lego HP" in a Norwegian bookshop now and got up a hit on a book coming next year; "Lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Handbook with Hermione Minifigure" by Jenna Ballard.. Not to exiting, but better than another Harry fig right
  14. A excellent idea, count me in
  15. No, have not been back to talk to him yet.. On the other hand someone else somewhere in the world should know something and be willing to talk Plenty of people know I guess, but very few are talking apparently
  16. Had not seen the hole box when I posted, edited the post now, happy to see the return of it
  17. Unless it has different spots from the other one it has been in several sets Personally I liked the 3 first sets best, they were consistent: 10199: Winter Village Toy Shop (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-check, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) 10216: Winter Village Bakery (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-check, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) 10222: Winter Village Post Office (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-check, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) Then came: 10229: Winter Village Cottage (a small house-NOPE, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-check, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) A excellent set on its own and probably the best build in the series, but it is not the same scale as the previous sets. Why have a cottage that is much bigger then the shops, do not make much sense Then it was time for something different: 10235: Winter Village Market (a small house-NOPE, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-NOPE, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) A nice model, but not a small house or a light brick Then for something different again: 10245: Santa's Workshop (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-NOPE, a light brick-NOPE, different lamppost-NOPE, at least one animal-NOPE and at least 7 minifigs-NOPE) Again a nice model, but do not have: moulded spruce trees, light brick, lamppost. In addition have only 6 minifigs and a huge wasted opportunity to give us a reindeer mould Then to something a little to familiar: 10249: Winter Toy Shop (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-check, different lamppost-NOPE, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check) Maybe better than nothing, but offer not much to those who have the original Then to something completely different: 10254: Winter Holiday Train (a small house-NOPE, 2-3 side builds-NOPE, several moulded spruce trees-NOPE, a light brick-NOPE, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-NOPE and at least 7 minifigs-NOPE) Not so surprising that we go a train in this series and it is off course very different from its predecessors, but at least it had a lamppost Then a little more familiar: 10259: Winter Village Station (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-check, a light brick-NOPE, different lamppost-check (?), at least one animal-NOPE and at least 7 minifigs-NOPE) The train needs a station and it is a little more back to basics, but we still miss the light brick, a moulded animal a couple of minifigs and the lamppost is very similar to the last set Then it is this year: 10263: Winter Village Fire Station (a small house-check, 2-3 side builds-check, several moulded spruce trees-NOPE, a light brick-check, different lamppost-check, at least one animal-check and at least 7 minifigs-check (count the statue and baby as one)) It is on going the right way, we are still missing moulded spruce trees, but very happy the light brick is back Where is the female fire-fighter on the top of the box? Is it the one with the star (and helmet instead of hair)? Lego are sure getting better at containing leaks
  18. Free and free, you have to buy Lego for 75$ before you get it.. They have used the CMF budget to make the parts, when they have the mould I assume the cost of making new parts even if they are in a different colour is rather small all in all
  19. I remember getting a discount, maybe 10% off a imperial flagship years ago in a Lego store and a couple of years a go I got 30% off a train set (with the track sticking out of the box) in a normal toy shop.. If you find a damaged box just ask if they can give you a discount, it is damaged goods after all "LEGO Harry Potter Collection Coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One". Must say something about the popularity of HP when they re-release a 7-8 year old game to new platforms
  20. I really hope they stay mostly to system-scale, one thing is that they did a nanofig Hogwarts for good reasons, but hopefully they do not start making creator-scale sets as well
  21. Spamorama
  22. Well I assume that Lego take into consideration how many sets a theme has when they find the bestsellers.. So if HP has only 5 sets and SW 50 I guess if the average sale per set in HP is better than most of the SW sets, HP will be highlighted as a better seller even tough the total sale do not mach SW
  23. Yes, in the Lego stores to boot! Lego has released the first half year rapport: "During the first half of the year the top-performing themes were LEGO Technic, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Creator and LEGO Classic. LEGO City and LEGO Star Wars also continue to be amongst the Group’s biggest themes. LEGO BOOST, which combines building, coding and robotics for younger children, continues to do well." After this next half year, I would be surprised if not HP is on the list Maybe it may even challenge SW as the best licensed theme
  24. Well you never now! They are most likely releasing a hole wave of fire fighters in city this winter
  25. I talked to a toyshop owner the other day and he said he knows what sets he can order for the following winter around 10 of September.. So if we are getting any HP/FB sets this winter we should get some more info soon
