  1. How many people would spend the $1000 to $1500 to buy a set? The Falcon has way more of a cult-following and the general reaction is that it is borderline too expensive.
  2. Nope. I didn’t change the roof or door. Besides the windows and textured column bricks, most people should have the bricks required for this mod in their collection. What’s funny is that I bought the extra windows before I even got the set because I knew I’d want to make it that much taller.
  3. I like BB but felt that it was too squat so I added a row of windows to the top floor as an easy mod. I did not increase the laundromat to match. Looks great next to DO.
  4. Lots of great techniques in this, looks great.
  5. Where on the island do you live?
  6. Really just a beautiful building and I love all the interior details like the dining room’s arched ceiling.
  7. It’s a great design but the sides just look a little too massive for a wooden bridge of that era. I also question how well the tracks will be held in place with a train running.
  8. Lol. Took a couple of months of building, ordering parts, waiting, building, ordering parts, waiting, etc. One problem is that the opening would be sized for Lego play trains but not n3cessarily the wider MOCs.
  9. Trains going through buildings are cool.
  10. And doing that won’t force you to buy the expensive tan windows; especially if you want multiple carriages.
  11. CC is interesting for historical reasons, but after ten years of sets it looks like a nice, but not amazing, MOC.
  12. I find it hard to believe that most of us don’t have a couple of classic faces lying around if the set faces bother you; or just budget 1$ extra to buy them from BL. Seems like such a trivial complaint against the set.
  13. So is the blue/teal color the same as used on the Creator VW Bug? For the people who are thinking about doubling it, once you remove the right side “Diner” I wonder if you could turn that into a little outside seated patio.
  14. You this really is just such a cool set. I also find it interesting that the un-jokered facade has a face.
  15. Looks really good. I think you should close up the 1 plate gaps created by the removable floors on the white lion side.
  16. What’s funny is that I heard the same thing about the DO and BB being a new line of modulars which were smaller that the classics and focused on interiors.
  17. Something like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i0eq92qfimjvzhb/LEGO-10260-Downtown-Diner-Front-View-803x1024.jpg
  18. I think the double diner first floor would look good with a long window and single entrance on the right.. Would go a long way towards it not looking like two sets just slapped together.
  19. I like it a lot and can see it fitting well into a town layout which has a variety of modulars, sets and MOCs, as well. For me it will sit well between my Apple Store and Friends Scooter Shop. Maybe it will push some people to MOC outside of their comfort zones.
  20. It's a really cool castle, the only suggestion I have is that the rocks should not be the same light grey color as the castle walls.
  21. I had many of the original Space sets but except for pure nostalgia they aren't my favorites. I really liked the Space Police 3 sets like the Galactic Enforcer and Undercover Cruiser.
  22. I dig what you have done with the falls, but the arches don't make it look super natural. I think it would be cool if you pushed that idea and turned them into ruins in the side of a mountain with the water running through them.
  23. This person made one from the Town Hall modular. http://lego.super-junk.com/clock-tower-corner-modular-building-moc/
  24. I doubt I’d buy a rereleased Market Street because it isn’t that amazing of a design; to be frank, it looks like a medium level MOC which it actually was.
  25. Adding some friends colors to the existing Winter Villiage sets will also help things blend.
