In general, having elemental powers/mask powers can be really weird if not handled correctly. For example: The Hau, mask of shielding, goes to fire characters. The Akaku, mask of X-ray vision, goes to ice powers. While it was probably really awesome for everyone that grew up with BIONICLE (aka, everyone here but me), it's frustrating for me trying to remember the names of half the masks, let alone their powers when they're ridiculously unmatched with their respective Toa. Case in point: every kanohi from the Toa Metru and past that. Elemental powers themselves are a whole nother world, and as much as giving characters awesome abilities is fine if you don't make them overpowered. It's most likely half the reason why they made powers linked to the masks themselves in the reboot, it makes the actual masks more important than a solution to an arbitrary kill switch inside the main protagonist's bodies. I really don't want to see them go all-out with making the powers really awesome, and then leaving some really unsatisfactory plot-holes regarding them, questions, retcons and whatnot (coughninjagocough). I don't know if they did that in the original BIONICLE, but I sure do hope they have a proper story bible for the reboot that they stick to.

Considering all of the advanced technology there still is in the plot (and the presence of concealer) it wouldn't be too difficult to make up an excuse for it.

Name's probably going to get changed before it gets too publicized. If it's just another clone game (aka, what every LEGO game is now) I'm probably not going to pick it up.

Well, that's solved easily now. Just put a regular lower leg joint (or the smallest variant of it x2/3), put a Mata ballcap on and attach a stud launcher. Voila! You have a proper gatling gun.

Zane has had two changes (including the 2015 variant), Lloyd and Nya have a ridiculous amount of alternate heads... but we definitely need a new face for at least Kai. It annoys me to no end that we still don't have a scarless Kai.

I do believe it's a map, but I've forgotten the exact details of the interior now. Could you take a picture of the piece/s in question? Edit: Nevermind, it's a chessboard XD

Really, I'd rather see both new masks and new heads (eg, individual ones for each Toa). Completely pointless, but it'd be a nice touch. It's never going to happen, though.

So, I just had a proverbial bomb dropped on my life that explains my many abnormalities. Life sucks.

On an unrelated note (to S@H orders) the LEGO website has been updated. The Products page has been revamped, BIONICLE is the first link, listed now as "NEW" rather than "Sneak Peak. The nice little gif they had for the link (and all the other links) have been removed, it's just a static image now. EDIT: Good news everyone! As I was searching for details on upcoming sets, I discovered a shopping website with set details for multiple lines, including the Bonkles. 70795 Mask Maker VS Skull Grinder 70794 Skull Scorpio 70793 Skull Basher 70792 Skull Slicer 70791 Skull Warrior So, basically, that guy from a few page back (sorry, can't remember your name) was correct. No descriptions of these, unfortunately. And I haven't dug around far enough to find any set lists we haven't already seen.

Again, I've been lurking here for years. I had read your previous comment, have read quite a few more of your previous comments about this, and I remember when LEGO first started to seriously clamp down on leaks. You don't have to bring this up every time you can, y'know.

Linking to leaked images is usually perfectly fine as far as I'm aware, posting them directly on the forums is a big no-no. Images with non-confidential stamps are perfectly fine (again, as far as I'm aware) I've lurked on Eurobricks since 2009, but I don't regularly check the rules so if they've suddenly changed them regarding leaked images I haven't heard about it.

It's going to take forever for people to start spelling Karlof's name right, isn't it?

Yeaaah, no. Just because we know a fair few details on the rest of the season (we still don't have precise details on what the spell is) doesn't mean we can't keep talking. It would have been a lot worse without these new descriptions.- 4,591 replies

I'm not even sure why people were expecting anything more out of Ekimu. He may be the replacement of Mata Nui in the new story, but he was never portrayed (or even hinted at) as being some gigantic robot.

Considering Kai's father is dead, yes, it would. Considering Kai's father was called an "honest man" by Wu and given the map to the Golden Weapons, yes, it would. Considering dead people come back to life all the time in NINJAGO, no, it wouldn't. EDIT: Well, this is weird. LEGO is uploading NINJAGO episodes in HD, for free.- 4,591 replies

Good point. But that last description sounds an awful lot like the first half of episode 34. Well, if the Farshetyverse is to be believed, Kai's father was an ally of Wu before Garmadon and Wu grew apart. But, on a side note, despite my failed idea of Cole x Skylor I'm going to make another attempt at theorizing on the ninja's bios. Kai was originally called Ash by his parents in the first few months of his life. *cough*- 4,591 replies

I... wow. I can guess what the "spell" is. But... what's this about Kai's parents? I mean, I knew that Wu and Kai's father being buddies was more or less unconfirmed canon by this point, but exactly what secrets would Kai's father have? The twist with Chen and Skylor... this sounds like Borderlands 2 now. If they play on this in the way I hope they do, Chen is going to be by far the most self-centered villain the show has had. Also, 9 episode season. What a wonderful decision. Edit: Cartoon Network UK is running a special promotion, you can get VIP tickets for the premier of the new episodes in London West: http://winjago.carto....co.uk/winjago/ If you play the little game, you get a code you can use on the 7th of February to watch the first episode (presumably in high quality). Unfortunately, only UK residents can enter. The events at the premier are listed as: - Premier of the first 3 episodes of Season 4 - Magic - Face Painting - Ninja Stunts I'm wondering if the face painting is going to be done with chocolate- 4,591 replies

I'm not exactly sure how Zane's survival was debatable in the first place. We saw the computers in Borg Tower deliver a message to PIXAL, the factory come to life, a huge smile on PIXAL's face and then Zane saying something he had never said before. It was obvious he had been reconstructed, at least to me anyway.- 4,591 replies
