  1. Yeah, I just found out. Technically speaking, I was right either way. Also, Penkid said it, but I'll repeat it: DON'T POST SPOILERS WITHOUT SPOILER TAGS. I've attached spoiler tags to what I quoted just so I don't add to the problem.
  2. https://waypointprod.../hud_02-big.jpg And https://www.youtube....h?v=bhipANnyP-M Note the HUD, and the way Chief uses Cortana's chip. Also, the designs of PIXAL and Cortana are somewhat similar... except in the clothing department. There's really no way to argue that the scene wasn't one gigantic HALO reference. Anyway, they've retconned more retcons in some of the new Korean episodes (that's not a spoiler). Or, alternatively,
  3. Ah, okay. It was like 2 in the morning for me so there was no way I was going to go searching for the invisible man That scene was very sad for me, because I really like PIXAL and knowing the relationship Zane had with her. But what they did with it was awesome :D And yeah, Zane's techno voice is kind of weird. Anyway, I really want to say a thing or two I noticed about those photos (namely a Cultist morphing into Skylor or Skylor morphing into a Cultist). There's also young Clouse (or at least, I presume that's him). But regarding the new episodes... MUST... RESIST... *gives in*
  4. Are you kidding me? I only found the shaky cam version. Serves me right for clicking on the first link I found...
  5. I guess it's time we started specifying spoilers to certain parts of the season. I'm probably gonna wait until the rest of them come out on DVD or Amazon to watch.
  6. It's a giant HALO reference, so presumably the laws of HALO apply (and there's evidence to support that as well). I'll talk about it in the TV show thread.
  7. Alright, after seeing the actual scene involving PIXAL and Zane, I am ALL FOR THIS NOW Overall, really good episode. Clears up a few things, has a flaw or two (the ending felt a little off) but it's better than 36 was. edit: I kinda messed up on some of these points. Whoops.
  8. First of all, spoilers, PLEASE. Second of all, wrong thread. Third of all, I just lost any and all respect for the storyline if this is true. There are some lines you just don't break, and this is freakishly creepy. Correction: Maybe not the entire plotline (although they have handled it horribly), but any actual respect for their ability to write romance. Even the romance retcons in BIONICLE were better than this. Edit: I've seen the scene now. You are so wrong on this one
  9. Something tells me you have little experience with the Rhotuka spinner and exactly what they did and why they were canned.
  10. LEGO has uploaded some episodes of Rebooted to the Videos section of LEGO.com, you'll find some of what you're looking for there.
  11. Because that's probably exactly what it's going to be. And should this be true, it's going to be an utter failure like the Speedorz to create a card/battle game.
  12. Ohhhhhh boy. Can't agree more with you.
  13. "ONCE YOU TASTE THE POWER, YOU CAN'T STOP" Continuation of HF confirmed guyz!!1! Edit: The ground Vahi is lava, again. At about 1:23 in the video.
  14. Here's some odd (and kinda dissapointing) news: Garmadon's 2015 minifgure features the "open" back (revealing the snake tatoo).
  15. I'm pretty sure featured a mine site, and Dorek mentioned earlier that the Ta-Matoran got their metal and resources from Onu-Metru to make Kanohi masks. I'm aware of what the Archives are, by the way.
  16. Yeah, but why not just stockpile the resources in massive warehouses for them to use rather than force them to go to all the effort of digging through the ground and having far less resources in the end than had they just put them in a big pile? It's going to run out eventually anyway, so... y'know. But I agree with Leewan, this really does belong in its own thread rather than the 2015 one
  17. Samurai Nya, Lloyd, Garmadon and the Overlord would all like to have a word with you. Anyway, new wesbite is kinda lame in comparison to the awesome design of last year's. The new ninja artwork is just trace artwork of the original 2011 posters. What a shame. It's an alternate white version of Wu's magic Kimono from 2011. That image has existed since... 2012? Can't remember, but it's been around for a long time. I don't think we'll see it in any sets, but I'll welcome it in open arms if we do.
  18. Sorry, let me rephrase the original question: Why did the Great Beings create a giant robot to save their world, and then fill it with dirt and ore for its inhabitants to mine out? For instance, Onu-Metru's mines. Why should these even exist inside of an artificial structure? I already knew what you just said, but thanks anyway.
  19. The full name of BIONICLE, or rather, the extended name, is "Biological Chronicle". A chronicle of biology, recording the fight for Mata Nui's survival. The Toa came in capsules, representative of different pills and their effects, to fight Makuta who infected the Rahi, and the Matoran (basically, cells and stuff). The Toa (pills) must work together to fight the infection, or else Mata Nui dies. (yeah, I'm really bad at explaining this) Basically, Makuta was a tumor, the Toa were pills and Christian Faber was Mata Nui. Off-topic what I'm about to say, but exactly why did the Great Beings make a giant robot only to fill it with dirt and water?
  20. Because Transformers are robots and more close to BIONICLE's piston style? But I do believe someone mentioned the PoI looking like Cap'n 'Murrica earlier in the thread. And to be honest, I could swear I've seen Cap in the same pose at some point in my life.
  21. Yeah... there's even similarities in the armor of all things.
  22. There's plenty of contextual evidence towards it being trace artwork, or perhaps even an original proof-of-concept design. In fact, almost anything you can think of would support both of these: Lewa's mask, the similarities between other artworks, the less-than-mainstream release of the comic, the massive variations between some of the Toa and their prelim/final set variations, the wildly different art style, the broken human statue, etc... and if this even is the result of a proof-of-concept from the early days when they were choosing the art design, it would make perfect sense if it was trace artwork. But all of this depends on the context in which you look at it.
  23. And your point is what exactly? I did not say "most," I said "many". "Many" can mean both a large number of people, or a majority of people. In this case, relative to the number of regular posters in this thread, quite a few people have said they don't like it. Regardless, what does this have to do with anything? You say pot-ah-toe, I say put-ay-toe. You may see it as an insult, I see it as a neutral word used to describe exactly what it is: trace artwork. Does this mean the artist's ability to create a style for a comic has been discredited? Absolutely not. Does it mean it as impressive as if he/she had created the artwork from scratch? Not really, but that's subject to opinion. I'm sorry, when did I say just because it wasn't canon it wasn't good? Word of advice: Don't make a baseless assumption in an argument. I happen to love the NINJAGO character books done in 2011, even though they are by far no longer canon. Another word of advice: You don't want a base canon where they continually retcon the base lore/interchange it with elements from alternate dimensions at will. You may think it's better at the moment, but NINJAGO's continual retcons are a glorious example of what you don't want to see happen.
  24. No, they're Cybermen. For that mistake you will be deleted. As many have said before, it's almost certainly trace artwork. This comic is definitely not canon in any form, but possibly retaining some consistency (eg, golden masks).
  25. Oh gross, that art style looks like some weird blend between the original BIONICLE's art direction (in the comics) and Exo-Force's own art direction (again, in the comics), minus set accuracy/ "improvement".
