Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
Mandate replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
I was in the middle of typing a response to Penkid, but hey, I'll reply to you instead. The Elemental Blades gave the ninja no actual powers, despite the dialogue in the show. The elemental powers were contained within the blades, and the only person they granted powers to was Lloyd. But the biggest problem is Zane. He's a Nindroid, so he never had an actual "father" so to speak. If his powers have something do with his heart, why did they remain after he died and rebuilt himself? (and furthermore, what's happened to PIXAL's half?) Zane's powers are tied to his consciousness, so exactly how did he get his powers in the first place? It's just one big, massive plot hole.- 4,591 replies

It was designed by her, built by her, driven by her and used by her up until (warning: minor spoiler, look away now) Dareth has a dance party in it. Anyway, does anyone else remember the raggedy hood piece we saw earlier this year? Makes me wonder if the version of the Destiny's Bounty (seeing as it has "torn" sails) we're going to get is controlled by the ninja or by the ghosts. A flying Japanese ghost ship would be awesome.

"Elemental Spinjitzu" Yeah, no. Spinjitzu in its most basic form never actually had any elemental properties without a Golden Weapon (or active elemental power, as seen in episode 32). And not counting the 2015 episodes, actual elemental powers have been given to the ninja twice, and taken away once. Oh, and this is my 1100th post. Yay.- 4,591 replies

Or perhaps LEGO has just been trolling us and the Mask Maker is Makuta turned good.

Surprise surprise. The website is fully available in Korea. And it's far better, too.

Hmm. We still have some unanswered questions that need to be tied up. - Serpentine Tomb's opening - General Arcturus (although I've seen one or two people on other sites speculate that he may have been in the Serpentine flashbacks) - Pythor's favor - Zane's heart - Stone armor failing - Staff of Element's origin - Fate of the Overlord - Genealogies of the ninja (eg, who was the Master from Cole/Jay's family?) - The Golden Armor- 4,591 replies

I tried punching in a few set numbers and five letter words such as "ninja," "robot," and "snake," but nothing worked. Nya also got a new minifigure last year, and the most expensive set of wave 1 2015. The DB X is considered as "her" vehicle...

Found a background image on the UK version of the NINJAGO website that would make a lovely wallpaper: Here Note the giant snake is even bigger in this version. I've got some ideas now on how some of the more major unexplained plot points tie into the new season, but that's for another thread

Sorry, I'm pretty late on this, but how about the scene where I'd like to see if the noodles have anything to do with the whole "bring back the Anacondrai/"turn everyone into ghosts Anacondrai" doomsday plan. EDIT: Zane's character video: https://www.youtube....h?v=G2a7yZERv0Q PRISON FIGHT! And the return of Zane's "Hello! Ma Baby" dance I'm hoping Zane goes back to his roots with his skin/hair next wave. Something just looks... wrong.- 4,591 replies

I'm not quite sure how it's going to be a battle game in both vertical and horizontal space in comparison to the horizontal battles of the original spinners. What's going to stop the flyer from Didn't mean to sound rude, sorry.

How about betrays the ninja at the very end and tries to use Clouse's spell book to bring back the entire Anacondrai army, who then turn on him for what he did to them before pillaging and rampaging Ninjago? But really though, I have no clue of as to how this stuff is going to tie into the plot.- 4,591 replies

I wouldn't put ghost Samurai out of the question. In some of the Korean episodes, Considering some random plot-relevant dead guy we've never heard of is resurrected in NINJAGO's world every two seconds, ghosts isn't too far fetched. But alas... Two plot year edit: "The 'Airjitzus' are interesting. They consist of a small brick built handle, a rip cord and a flying disc/rotor that flies upwards when the cord is pulled. A minifig is mounted on top inside a new clear canopy piece that screws into place, kind of a bayonet fitting, like a camera lens." - Huw, Brickset Well, there goes the hope that they were spinners with a card/battle game.

Oh, whoops. Didn't realize we were missing sets from the list. Guess Wu won't be riding a ghost any time soon :D

You shouldn't be. While the constraction community is very active, it's laughably small in comparison to the broader LEGO community. Most fans (and reporters) have no interest in CCBS over its huge incompatibility with System (and I'm still willing to debate the Technic aspect). Some don't exactly enjoy getting "BIONICLE SAVED LEGO RESPECT IT!" shoved in their faces every two seconds by one or two eager fans every few seconds. Really, it's a culmination of multiple factors regarding complexity, compatibility and accessibility. Simply put, don't expect the same level of attention for constraction as given to System lines.

Here's some advice: 1) You're late to the party (particularly on Jay's symbol being about year of the goat) by two whole years. 2) Ninja are Japanese. Not Chinese. You've got the wrong language, bro. Well that was unexpected. Glad to hear that they are spinners, but I'm fearing for the survival of the battle/card capabilities. So... Sensei Wu's dragon is... a ghost now? Didn't Sensei Wu being technically dead get retconned way back in the Minisodes? But anyway, sounds kinda weird. Not sure if I like where this is going.

After seeing Jang's review on the Titanium Dragon, I can't help but like it even more now. It's very cat-like in its appearance, which is very unique for a NINJAGO dragon and now I'm looking forward to getting it even more

Oh, that's right! I had forgotten about the Destiny's Bounty being remade.

And we're getting through the plot awfully quickly (at least Canada and Korea are), something that didn't happen in any countries last year. But after some of the leaked Korean episodes, I'm not even sure what to think about the next wave. There's a plethora of stuff introduced that could be seen in sets, and then a complete lack of any unseen set-based vehicles (unless you count Nya's giant WIP in the Samurai Cave) But also Airjitzu, etc. There's two very distinct themes here, that have nearly nothing to do with one another.
-
I'm pretty sure you just missed the point. By a mile.
-
Yeah... when I first heard of Airjitzu, that was all I could think of. I blame my sisters for that. I'm still curious about the whole "airjitzu" thing as it is... LEGO had better not screw this up.
