  1. Why do we have so many fake leaks this year?
  2. Indeed, it works very well on its own and has far more "play value" than Maxilos and Spinax do. Maybe it's an enslaved Bingzak instead of a creature?
  3. Sure. According to this website if we account for inflation Maxilos and Spinax has raised a meager $4.53 cents. So, if you want, cut out Spinax and then compare Maxilos by himself to Grinder and Ekimu. That's being pretty generous too, seeing as Spinax is worth a canister set. I forgot that Umarak is going to be only $20 though, so my hopes for him are much smaller now.
  4. Provided the rumors are true, I don't have very high hopes for the new Toa. Unless they've done something drastic with the functions, this will be like getting a near-identical set of Inika in 2007 instead of the Mahri. As for the creatures and Umarak, they sound awesome. Umarak had better be able to compare to Maxilos and Spinax if he's got a dog with him, MMvsSG was pitiful in comparison, especially seeing as they were the same price. Still, taking the rumors with a grain of salt. Bought a bunch of MISB sets from 08-09, so the wait won't be nearly as painful for me
  5. Well, that's one mystery explained about the very small set list. Curious as to whether or not the sets will go into redesign, if they were ready to be used in the catalog surely they were not far from completion?
  6. inb4 you jinx us and we get ugly deformed mutant clone sets with spindly limbs and airjitzu creatures that attach to the Toa's backs
  7. Black looks a little out of place, but overall those are incredible!
  8. Episode 10 is out in English. Thanks BZPower! I really wanted to say something good about this episode. Gali's voice improved, but then the next time she spoke her voice was awful again.
  9. Wasn't really arguing on the lines of "Krana VS Skull Spiders" there, I was pointing out that the "conflict in a box" concept is pointless when the conflict in said box isn't much of one. At least the Jumpers came in pairs of two... sometimes, anyway. Fair enough. That we never even knew the name of. Sure, it's ambiguous, but when said village likely had no armaments (someone please correct me if I'm wrong on that), it's far less an accomplishment. Who was only controlled for five seconds before being "cured". Killed? Since when have the Skull Spiders been capable of anything other than zombifying villagers? Depends on who's hearing it. Seeing a character such as Matau that you had saved a year prior in the story turned evil would be far more personal and scary than seeing someone you had only just met turned evil, or hearing of an entire village turned evil in comparison to seeing 1/6th of an entire city's worth of people turned evil (although admittedly it wasn't known that that was how many Matoran lived in Le-Koro at the time, nor was it fully depicted) leaves a pretty distinctive idea of why something is so evil. But that might be just me.
  10. Bonus points if they put a stud shooter on top of him and pair him with Tahu.
  11. If you call a giant bug being squashed in an instant by a Toa "conflict", sure. The only time they really provide conflict is in a Protector set or when you've got multiple spiders.
  12. Hearing of an event is entirely different to actually seeing the event. If you had merely been told that Le-Koro had been completely taken over by the Bohrok, as a kid you would get a better understanding of why the Bohrok were so menacing. But, you actually saw the affects of the Krana: characters you had come to enjoy seeing in the story (something G2 has an utter lack of at this time) such as Turaga Matau, the entirety of Le-Koro and Lewa being mind-controlled by ta parasite attached to their face. The latter is far more interesting as a lot device, it gives evil a name, a face and a presence and shows you first-hand what it does. Heck, in the '02 animations the Bohrok behind the Le-Matoran were already in position to launch Krana at Kongu and Tamaru. And even beyond the story and into the play functions the Bohrok's Krana-flinging action is far better than what the Skull Spiders can do. Better still, the Krana were functional both plot-wise and set-wise in sooo many different ways: they were collectable both IRL and in-story, they had roleplay purposes with the Bohrok Va, they had roleplay purposes with all of the Matoran and Toa, and as I noted earlier you could fling them out of a Bohrok towards a Toa. Sure, they never actually latched on like in the story, but neither do the Skull Spiders. The Krana also don't have the "conflict in a box" scenario, but sets where so cheap back then you didn't need to, even if you account for inflation. I really hope we never see the Skull Spiders again, they don't really do a lot other than look good for MOCing purposes.
  13. They're wonderfully built, but the more textured G1 pieces clash with the CCBS pieces a fair bit IMO.
  14. I've tried 298, 299, 311 and 312 under both "uniter" and "unifier". Can't find him either.
  15. With Umarak's name known, the 4chan rumor is effectively debunked.
  16. Oh dear. Sorry, I genuinely thought you were being sarcastic with your comments. Your tone seemed a bit frantic, but it's my own fault for reading it like that. Again, sorry. Anyway, that Kopaka test looks amazing. It bends pieces in too many unnatural-looking ways for me to like it more than the actual animations.
  17. Sure. Please note that this is a fairly bare-bones explanation, and we still don't know most of the details about what happens in the Ancient City.
  18. MINIONS. MINIONS EVERYWHERE.

  19. There's no need to be so rude. If I've offended you, then I apologize, but there's no reason to be hostile. I didn't accuse LEGO of being cheap with the animations. They've put in a great deal of effort into the locations and art style, and I admire their choices with the animations even if I don't agree with all of them. If you like the approach they've used, then hey, that's perfectly fine, you're under no obligation to share my opinion. And I agree with Quisoves, it does seem like a stylistic choice, I simply don't think it fits very well in the scene presented.
  20. The animation's flaws are really starting to show here. Tahu's swords look unnaturally 2-dimensional despite their 3D stance, and neither of them look like they fit in his hands.
  21. You didn't need to list a positive of new Bohrok to actually have one in your post. If the negatives of the original sets do not apply to a theoretical new Bohrok, then logically speaking what is left over is a positive since there is no inbetween. A new Bohrok is not limited by the faults of its predecessors and can be improved on. That sounds like a positive of developing a new form of Bohrok to me. The functionality of one either will be or will not be better than its original form. I'm not really interested in discussing a Schrodinger's Cat scenario, so I hope you'll forgive me for not wanting to continue this discussion after this.
  22. Nor do your theoretical positives apply to newer Bohrok variants, seeing as LEGO probably has no plans to bring them back any time soon. Well aware of how physics work. From my experiences the Bohrok aren't great at rolling across flooring over small places. The head sticks out at the front and creates a large amount of unnecessary bumps along the way. They aren't exactly Droidekas.
  23. Not for at least five years.
