An absolutely amazing build! You mentioned in the interview that it looks best without figs, so looks like you got your wish with the mix-up! Love the colour palette too. Magnificent work!

[AoM: Stables - Phase II] Don't Look Back

A brilliant MOC and a very well written story. As others have mentioned the snow-scaping is excellent as is the architecture on the tower. Great job! -

Really nice scene! I actually like the perspective on the boarding scene, it's a nice little twist. -

Love the contrast between the brown earth and the military camp, very brutalist. Great use of barbed wire too and the minifigs feel like they have a purpose. Not sure how that guy is going to get down from the tower though... -

Really great little scene you've got going on there! Love the background wall and the black covering on the roof. Great minifig posing too! -
CHALLENGE IV: Category A: The Enlightened
Basiliscus replied to Grover's topic in Guilds of Historica
What an incredible entry, definitely my favourite so far! Treating us with not just one, but three amazing builds. The throne room is fantastic, with the busy book cases, chairs and foodstuffs. The tavern is really well done, great use of the wooden plank tiles and novel design for the candle holders. But as others have said, the underground cavern is by far the stand out element, so much detail on the walls and floor and the level of decay is conveyed perfectly! Also the photo looks suitably dark and brooding, you really did a great job with that one. The story was a long one but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, so many great elements. I was a bit shocked Mitgardia didn't send help and then was pleasantly surprised that they made it in the end! Overall your best build yet and you should be mighty pleased with it! -
Factions - Introduction, Discussion, and Core Rules

Silly question, where are the results of Episode 3 to be found? Is there a summary post detailing who got what points, or is it just inside each individual topic? Also are there overall scores for each of the factions? Sorry if I'm being thick and it's obvious. -

Good colour blocking on the sand, going from dry (tan) to wet (dark tan) into the sea. The tree designs are nice too. -

CHALLENGE IV: Category A: For the Skulls!

Hahahaha If only they had internet in Historica, it'd be awash with conspiracy theories like this! Thanks for posting that reply, it did genuinely make me laugh out loud. I just had to explain tin foil hats to my 4 year old as she was asking what I was laughing at! -
I agree with @MKJoshA that this is a hard one to recreate in LEGO, and while you've done a good job with the parts available it doesn't look particularly natural next to minifigs. I feel that the wall in the background could have more detail in it, where there's abrupt 90 degree angles in-between bricks and open areas you could try using slopes to make it more natural. Just a few suggestions!

CHALLENGE IV: Category A: Själens Torn
Basiliscus replied to Louis of Nutwood's topic in Guilds of Historica
Really nice story, it's good to see the conflict within Ylspeth rather than making her a one dimensional character. I like the tower too and the way it sort of tapers off at the top, very believable ruin effect. The use of horns as waves is a nice touch too. Also great use of depth of field in some of the close up shots, adds a nice perspective to the scene. -
CHALLENGE IV: Category A: For the Skulls!
Basiliscus replied to kahir88's topic in Guilds of Historica
This is one of the best stories I've read in Guilds of Historica, I know you said it was a lot of work but let me tell you it was well worth it. As someone mentioned above, each character has believable motivations and I genuinely didn't know how this was going to end. With masked powerful figures controlling things...do they sell tin foil hats in Historica??? The build itself is a nice scene and I liked the action shots as the story progressed. Really well done. -
CHALLENGE IV : Category A: Meeting at the temple of Qa'te
Basiliscus replied to adde51's topic in Guilds of Historica
Beautiful microscale MOC as our appetiser (love the piece usage here, you've demonstrated what can be done with only a few parts!), and then a similarly lovely MOC for the main course. In the latter case, the floor design, candelabras and chairs really stand out. Also love the cast of characters. One thing I do feel is the hall is a bit bland and it feels as if it needs a bit more in it. I think a fireplace with chimney or something would help give it a bit more life. Nice entry though! -

Lovely detailed build here! And it reinforces that I need to get more of those newer vegetation elements, they are lovely! -
Challenge IV: Category A: The Grand Victory at Al Tajir
Basiliscus replied to LittleJohn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lovely build! Love the diversity of middle eastern architecture you've included, and the colour blocking is top notch. Loads of action going on and an impressive scale. My only nitpick is a number of photos feel underexposed and the one fourth from the end looks out of focus or blurry, which is unusually because usually your presentation is excellent. Good entry to the challenge!
