  1. Really lovely build at a rarely seen scale! Great job.
  2. I'll wait until parts II and IV are posted to see the full story, but if it mattered all the same to you, could Poppa be held somewhere in Kaliphlin (maybe with a local lord who the de Fioris are close to or bribed) so I can rescue her from there? Basically, the reason that Gisela is in Avalonia (other than my collaboration with @Grover) and Poppa is in Kaliphlin is so that I can build in those styles if I get bored building in Varlyrio. I'm probably going to make Staffen's death legitimate regardless of who wins the challenge, as it gives me quite a few options for future builds. So I am totally fine with this turn of events.
  3. Great work on the map and minifig posing!
  4. Great exterior architecture, that stonework technique is really lovely. Also although I never personally build interiors I think you also did a great job with that too!
  5. Superb work all round here. Love the architecture and landscape. As I said on Flickr the photo does come across a little dark.
  6. This is a wonderful build! I love all the detail, especially the little stalls, and the really clear photography.
  7. Oooh nice work! Another de Fiori conspiracy, they sure get about. Loved the story. Really like the irregular floor in the last scene, great use of all the new tile types. Also the last face for the guard when he's burning the letter is perfect.
  8. You dirty dogs! So much for Minos the incorruptible! The build itself is amazing. Love the colour scheme and the figure positioning, in particular I love the way the woman is peering through the curtains. The story? Pah! I love it. Staffen dying will open up quite a few narrative options for me, so I like the way you went about it. He's a ruthless murderer anyway so don't feel too sorry for him. Poppa is currently in Kaliphlin, so not sure if this is shown in any of the other parts of this collaboration. Parts I and III appear to be unrelated so I'm curious to see how part II stitches them together. One complaint is that some of the photos, in particular the last one, are really washed out. Also they are a little bit grainy, that can happen when the ISO is set too high. A minor detail.
  9. So much to love here. The detail on virtually every surface boggles the mind. Love the story too! Looking forward to part II and IV (?) of this collaboration.
  10. Nice character @LegoHobbitFan! I think you might be the first Varlyrian Kolgari?
  11. Amazing castle! Love the detailed interior too.
  12. Let's just say he already has a good Varlyrian contact for this challenge!
  13. Brilliant work. So many cool little details, and I do love the way you've layered it and the prosperity increases as you go up.
  14. Superb ship and I love the hangar. The cargo boxes are really well designed, great parts usage for these.
  15. Really great technique for the bridge. Lovely scene.
  16. Really nice work! Funnily enough, I just finished reading the Osprey book "Strongholds of the Border Reivers" and you've captured the austere exterior and compact interior very well. Good job making an interior too, especially on such a small footprint. I think this style of tower suits Mitgardia very well!
  17. Really cool scene, I love how the first shot puts the viewer right amongst the action. Great job
  18. What a beautiful scene! Love the perspective.
  19. Well folks it's time for this guild to shine in challenge V! We can't let everyone else have all the fun. I'm in discussions about a collaboration with a few non-Varlyrian members, hope to enter something.
  20. Sounds like the ideal challenge to get me building again! Count me in!
  21. Nice little scene. I love the colour palette, the sand green and dark green go well together. I'm not 100% sold on the dark bley tree but I do like the rock work on the right hand side.
  22. Brilliant use of the Ninjago parts such as the bowl, oriental tea pot and so on. Those little things really make the scene come to life. I did enjoy the story even if I didn't really understand what was going on You've got some great minifigs there too.
  23. This is a lovely little build. Like @TomSkippy I thought it was a Corrington build until I saw the thread title. The roof colour and style is perfect and I like the exposed red bricks coming through the white plaster. Great job!
  24. Really great work! The cockpit seems small on relation to the ship size but I think it kind of makes it more realistic, lots of hull space for weaponary and other systems. I also love the landing pad and the ice scene, adds a lot to the presentation. Nice job
  25. Beautiful TIE fighter and love the hangar scene. I also love the last show with the star destroyer in forced perspective in the background, great job.
