  1. you know what would be nice? A foot that doesn't have the bloody ball socket built in to it. When the ankles were removable, you could use the feet so much more easily as other stuff like armour. Also, I've never like the 2.0 feet. they look like clown shoes. I also preferred when Bionicle figures had wide or spiky feet, like the 2 Inika options. I also hope we et anew under-torso plate to replace the 2.0/ Brain attack mix used in wave 1. Something piston-y
  2. which, in a nutshell, is why I come here rather than BZP :P Regarding the probability of makuta set, I think it's inevitable at some point. They've already appeared in the animations, which means they already have designated appearances. He's probably just gonna be 2017 or something, because, at least at this point they don't have anywhere to go after him. With any luck, something will come up, and the story will continue beyond those 3 years, but none the less, at the moment they're treating Makuta as the final villain, so they're probably saving him.
  3. I'm hoping that Ekimu uses medium azure, just so we can actually get some shells in that colour, as opposed to just bones. It would also be beyond amazing if he came with that golden protector mask too. Also hoping skull grinder is a decent size, I really miss the days when 'titan' actually felt like the appropriate name for the large sets.
  4. It would certainly be cool to get that statue figure as one of the summer villains. (could he maybe keep his statue colours so we could have more tan, or the sand brown from CHI Vardy? pwease?) Also, I've heard talk about all 5 summer sets being large. Has this actually been outright stated, or is it just an assumption based on the smaller amount of sets?
  5. by 'masks of power' it's referring to the toas' own golden masks, not the 3 legendary masks, which, at this point at least, they're not actually questing for. I think I would be very underwhelming if the current arc ended so quickly. I've even seen people suggesting that the mask that comes with LOSS is the mask of control. Why would they go to the trouble of designing a mask, and then release that mask with a totally different design the same year?
  6. Now THAT's what the animations should have looked like! I like the cartoony style, but the toa just feel so much more... powerful in the cgi. Tahu doing the exact same surfer pose form his nuva commercial. I wasn't even into the line in 2002, and I still felt the nostalgia. ;_; Not sure why Kopaka can levitate and shoot "lasers" though. Out of his shield no less. I would prefer if he just fired spires of ice or something. On another note, I hope we get some sort of villager building pack this summer, almost like what Chima's getting. Seeing as the normal villagers have different builds to the protectors, and only have single coloured masks. Actually, just anything that involves tonnes of recoloured masks please.
  7. I laughed more than I should have when the protector of fire went "come Tahu! there isn't much time" *strips* XD Voice wise, I'm a sucker for terrible half British-half Australian accents, so I love how Pohatu sounds. He's like a geezer from London :P Unfortunately, everyone else sounds pretty much identical. is it too much to ask for them to get someone who can put on voices? There are a huge amount of men who could put on a convincing female voice, or at least not sound deeper than the average batman while doing it. Kopaka seems to be halfway to Pohatu's accent, and Tahu sounds like he's about to tear someone's throat out in his commercial, but it's still very much the same voice. I don't think he's even doing a voice for lewa. I do love the young villagers, and the fact that only the elders are called protectors. On another note, Ekimu is apparently dead. Welp. Guess they can finally use that mask with his exact colour scheme they just had lying around. Love the vahi easter eggs as well. So these toa are either from another time period, or another timeline entirely. (most likely just plucked from the mataverse). Gives a cool opportunity to see how different they would be if they had just awoken in different circumstances.
  8. Is... that a brick built hau? damn you're good.
  9. Hmm, so the toa fall from the sky this time, instead of washing up from the sea? I know lego doesn't want to go as deep this time as they did with Bionicle 1, but there's clearly something going on behind the scenes here. Why would the toa even be in the sky? There are legends of them in Okotan history, so they must have been there before, but now they're apparently in space?
  10. @ lord Vorahk, we sort of knew that already when it seemed that Makuta and ekimu were actually proper brothers this time. Actually, on that theme, aren't Tahu and gali brother and sister anyway (I always followed that logic for the mata only, as they were never Matoran, hence why I would still be ok with jaller x hahli even though they were toa) Also, our insight into okotan culture.. is apparently tat it's a bland ad all hell XD
  11. Those are some.... very unfortunately placed exposed ball joints XD. but good to know it's doable I guess. I kind of feel like the legs should be further apart, so he more matches the figure of his 01 self, rather than here, where he just looks kinda fat.
  12. Wow, the protectors' masks in-the-plastic are some of the best looking pieces I think I've ever seen (and being attatched to some of the most consistent "small" sets in a while doesn't do any harm either).
  13. My only issue with that photo is that it shows how the new hau continues the trend of the masks getting gradually smaller. I thought the stars mask was strangely small next to the mata one, and this is smaller still, yet Tahu is larger than he's even been.
  14. I hope this means lego's got over its weird urge to add mouths to the characters. They were never necessary.
  15. Can those Tahu face be our new emoticons please? Regarding the Vahi, if this means that any new one we get will cover both halves of the face, that's all I want. I never liked how the old one looked when actually attatched to a head. Also, "half a mask" is not really an appropriate way to describe the old Vahi. Sure, it only covered the bottom half of the face, but so did Pohatu's mask in 2008. LOMN made a big deal about the Vahi finally being complete at the end.
  16. wow, that dark azure looks great. I just wish they had made all of her bones trans blue, to look like water contained underneath her armour or something. Still, she looks solid enough, and Iove how big her weapon is (heavy though it may be).
  17. The advantage to onua using stickers is that I can leave them off, and them replace his purple with black and his gold with silver to clean up his colour scheme, and let me moc with the purple. I like how his torso is constructed too.
  18. Pohatu looks as good as I thought he did. Definitely a priority purchase. Was eljay correct when he said he uses the old brown from the huki tohunga?
  19. I won't be able to unsee that now. The resemblance is scary.
  20. Kopaka looks good, but I'm slightly disappointed about the shoulder pads. because of how they're attatched, they seem to have to point backwards if you want them actually over the arms, as opposed to in front of them. Also not a fan of the gold, but at least it makes his golden kanohi fit in. But overall, set looks really solid. Also, this: is this community in a nutshell XD.
  21. Just when you think you know Hitler, it turns out he's in ANOTHER of the fandoms you're in. I'm starting to get seriously worried about how much we have in common :/ Toa furno addition was hilarious.
  22. Welp, predictably enough, Lewa looks a lot better irl than in cgi. The dual function is cool, I might just keep him in adrenaline mode (still a stupid name XD) Also the first time I've seen green lantern green next to mata green on screen. It appears to be brighter or paler. I just wish they had kept his secondary colour as lime. Meh, easy enough to swap out.
  23. Wow, The hero factory is DARK in your story. melting down damaged heroes? I don't blame these guys for defecting. Mocs are very interesting too.
  24. erm... opaque is the opposite of clear. the HF 2.0 sets were 100% opaque, due to the lack of a trans head (the ones without lightsaber pieces, at least). but regarding a trans set, while it might be hard to make out some of the details, I would certainly love more trans parts.
  25. Bye Bye babyon was really coo, and so was the Bionicle heroes soundtrack. I sort of view the piraka rap in a "so bad it's good" light. You watch it for a laugh, that's why it's so popular. A ridiculously tame rap about childrens' toys? that was never going to be anything but hilarious.
