assuming this is real, I would assume that the 5 sets mentioned aren't going to be the entire summer wave. lego has been cutting numbers recently, but this would take it to a whole new level. Also, Japanese sounding name is cool. Still not sold on the legitimacy of this for now though.

only if they ended up as a new team this time. No prequel years. The story isn't interesting when you know exactly how the world ends up afterwards. Also, I would prefer that new Bionicle didn't re-tread other toa teams, as much as I like some of them. We need more new toa or everyone will just compare this to Bionicle 1 forever. (people will anyway but whatever). This. I don't think that the old story was such a lost cause that to have a new one, the old one has to not have happened.

I wasn't like that at all, but I removed my comment for the sake of not starting a flame war. But yeah, the scans are cool, and while its a prelim, its nice to actually get a look at Onua's mask.

so it looks as though after a terrible mining accident, Onua's on a respirator. :P I kid. this pakari is gonna take some getting used to, but it looks cool enough. Like the MoCr, it looks a bit like the dwemer tech from skyrim.

except half the nuva, all the hordika, all the mahri and all the mistika, who looked nothing like their previous forms. None the less, I don't have a problem with change if it's change for the better. Tahu's new mask simply looks less cool than the old hau to me, and lewa still looks like a surprised monkey. The reason people want revamps of the old sets is that these are still the same people, and while it's long been established that Bionicle characters change appearance entirely sometimes, that's jarring to people, because they still expect a certain character to look a certain way. I resent the suggestion that legitimate criticism of somewhat ugly designs is akin to being a 2001 fanboy/girl. On the bright side, you can at least tell that this Tahu is Tahu without being told, unlike the mistika one. (which was the first Tahu I saw, so imagine how confused I was when I saw the mata XD)

so... anyone tell how Gali's shoulder pads are attatched with this new picture? cos I still haven't a clue. Also, I hope we end up with a wide range of eye colours. That was the main disappointment for me about the phantoka, and brain attack. Also, Kahliki, could we have some art of Tahu pigging out on cookies pwease? Taster to jungle may be too majestic to top, but it's worth a shot right?!

Why is it that all the discussion worthy news happens when I'm really meant to be sleeping? :P Looking at it again, I really don't mind Tahu's mask, it's just that it was so much better before. I wonder what motivated them to change it. Focus group or something? Welp, looking forward to Onua and the protectors.

The f*** did they do to Tahu's mask?! Lewa looks just as odd as he always did. Ready to taste some jungle. Gali's weapons can be put on her feet, cool. She also looks much calmer, thank the great beings. Still can't tell how the shoulder armour attatches. Pohatu is basically unchanged, but apparently has a tornado around his feet. what? Also, confirmation of silver rather than white. And his skull spider s a scorpion. Kopaka is cool, and still overly bulky. Mask is good at least. Are we really not past the printed chest plate phase? It almost never looks good. Pohatu and Tahu's weird scar thing on their chest is daft looking. The mask in LoSS had the same energy ripples as the MoCr.... hmm...

Mukduk genuinely sounds like a name a Bionicle character could have. I'm thinking po-Matoran. And yeah, I'm pretty sure most of LoSS's piece count comes from small technic pieces, allowing him to be cheaper than 3 of the toa. I think I would miss the Turaga if they never appeared in Bio-Nuva. They always had a different feel from the Matoran in my eyes. They should probably make them a little more capable of fighting though, like they did with later Matoran. And cloaks, they need actual cloaks in set form.

soooo... the guy who saw the catalogue said he'll try to provide pics on Monday. everyone cross any available digits. and... then on some fancy blades 2 years later... Also, I echo other peoples' sentiments that Pohatu really should have tan. Silver is just such a boring and generic colour these days, and we NEED tan CCBS shells.

We have a sarcasm emote? why have I never noticed this before? XD. In all seriousness, "Green lantern Green" is so similar to mata green I don't really mind.

To be honest, I expected toa + protector combiners from the beginning. Cool that Tahu can swap out to his more impressive swords though, and that the guy said some positive things about Gali's mask. Tahu with a Gatling gun on his shoulder in the combiner is going to piss off fans of the tribal feel, I just know it XD.

Hmm, seeing that the new head seems to have a protrusion sticking out of the back makes me optimistic for a new eye piece. Also, some of the concepts for the MoCr are really cool. One looks a bit like a pope hat though XD. Interesting that they bothered to draw someone wearing the mask. Some sort of robed figure (referred to as the mask maker?). Could it be that the golden masks the toa are chasing are made by this guy, as the MoCr isn't infact what's being fought over, just what made the things that are?

well, the last changeover was a step down in quality whereas this will most likely be a step up, but I can see his point of view (assuming it is a legit post). If HF had existed when I was 10, I probably would have got just as into HF as I did with Bionicle. I was much more forgiving back then, as I'm sure we all were. Hopefully those who grew up with hero factory will learn to love Bionicle too. I like to think that our aversion to HF early on was about more than just "it's not Bonkles!!1!1" , but rather, about the legitimate drop in story depth. It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out in reverse.... EDIT: also just occurred to me that someone who got into HF first, and apparently only in 2013, doesn't seem a likely candidate to join BZP.

Is the suggestion I made a few pages back about not continuing the 2010 serials, but having a new story with the old one still canon in the past, what people are referring to as a "soft reboot"? I've not really heard the term used before, and by that logic, didn't the first half of 2009 also fall into that category, because I consider that more 'rebranding' than 'rebooting'. Also, I fully intend to get all the sets, if possible.
