I don't see what people hate about tarix. He wasn't by any means terrible. Uninspired? yes. generic? yes. But there was nothing actually wrong with the design or the way he was built, unlike say, the Visorak and their hollow bodies. tarix had a very overused build, and therefore had all the pros and cons that came with that build, and therefore was solid enough as sets go. He only lost out to some of the other glatorian, like gresh, simply because he wasn't quite as flashy. he had a nice colour sceme and weapons. I wouldn't call a set that has no actual flaws that hamper anything 'terrible'. Bland at worst. I consider 'terrible' to be reserved for sets with actual glaring flaws, not just sets with a lack f anything glaringly good about them.

The 2001 what? whole line? again, the vast majority of us don't have the 2015 sets yet, so we couldn't tell you.

Do we have some sort of tally for how many times that complaint has been made? XD Not sure if he's being serious or not. He described the sets as crappy due to hf pieces, but praised invasion from below in the same comment. As much as I prefer the old system, I'm not adverse to these guys using CCBS pieces, if anything, hopefully it'll finally give me a desire to moc with CCBS, as after almost 5 years since the end of Bionicle I still MOC almost exclusively with its pieces.

Then why did he wear it in the first place if he got x-ray powers from his mask? I guess it had that zoom function in MoL... Also, It looked like it was fused on pretty tight in his nuva form... Not to mention everyone who wore the original mask seemed to wear the scope too.

One downside I just thought of about the masks being elemental (beyond the obvious): Kopaka now has a giant scope over one eye for absolutely no reason XD. It doesn't have x-ray power's any more, and has nothing to do with ice. No wonder he's clumsy now, no depth perception.

My god, it's remarkable how long ago 2010 feels. I keep thinking of it like yesterday and then realising it was almost five years ago. Seeing that old biotuber again was quite a wake up call. 2 months before the supposed release date doesn't seem likely though. That would have them on the shelves at the same time as the last HF sets. I don't see lego doing that. Not that it affects me, as I'm probably not getting them till march. Not having an income source of my own leaves me rather reliant on birthdays for these things.

The flaws seem ok to me, so long as they are not taken to far. Oh, and lewa's sarcasm isn't listed as his weakness, his daredevil nature is, and it's also a strength. However, lewa being sarcastic does make him sound more like matau that lewa. And I wish Kopaka's flaw had been "bad at teamwork" or something rather than clumsy. He was one of the least clumsy toa possible from what I saw of him in the old continuity.

The resemblance to the official animation is uncanny. May have to modify Pohatu to have a kicking function once I get him.

Something worth mentioning is that in an interview about the animated shorts, the person from the production team said how much he liked when the characters meet each other for the first time. That makes it sound like these toa don't know each other, does it not? Whether this is due to memory loss, or that they were just never created as a team in this continuity, I don't know, but I thought it was an interesting point on some of the *ahem* discussions over the last few pages. EDIT: Pohatu's signature move is apparently called the Kaboom-erang. Lego, stahp XD

after years of stringer saying lines like "just like herding cattle back home" even though he came from a robot factory? Are you just a glutton for punishment? This talk of the fact that all the toa are voiced by the narrator makes me think of Thomas the tank engine. "but it was too late, lewa was controlled by a skull spider" XD

AHHH! akhmou has infiltrated the bio2015 world! #akhmou2015confirmed. On a more serious note, lego has seemingly made it quite clear that this year features around the mask of creation, and the next 2 probably about control and ultimate power respectively.

That will only knock off a toa mask if you hold him right at their head height. The old rahi had things like punching fists are toa head level, so it made it look like they actually intended to hit the masks. The only reason the toa masks fall off when he uses his function is because they are incredibly loose.

yeah, I'm not thrilled about the wobbly eye piece. Hopefully I can think of a way to mod the head to be tighter fitting. Also, LoSS doesn't have a punching function, so the only ones who can knock of the toas' masks... are the other toa :/ #toacivilwar2015

Thank Artakha for that. Regarding the stickers vs printing debate, I prefer stickers, as it give me the option of doing what I always do: never applying any of them and just keeping pieces actually looking good.

I think the description meant he's always the first to charge into battle, rather than being the actual leader of the team. I really hope they don't make Tahu out to be some young rookie or something, the description sounds like he could be like his old self, or like this.

I think you did the torso really well, and nice work on mimicking the animation style. I would recommend using the trans blue from the ice sets as opposed to mata blue though.

maybe I misinterpreted that movie (and man do I hope so). But I wouldn't worry. If lego were willing to complicate things with a multi universe plotline, they wouldn't have made this a reboot at all.

Oh. I assumed it was another of his 'rewrite the canon to answer someone's blog question' moments. :/ Romance WAS hinted at in MoL, (and matau outright flirted in LoMN) but given how loosely those movies fit with the canon anyway, I can forgive someone for disregarding them.

So LoSS does have a large abdomen eh? Looks like it connect to the function somehow. A trigger or handle to activate the leg grabbing perhaps. I get the feeling that was a kneejerk reaction or Greg's part in the first place.

That and certain retcons in old Bionicle were less than popular... "they're not capable of love" etc...

I'm aware of retcons, and am of the opinon that they are one of the worst evils man has ever created. I want a movie where Tahu enters the Bio15 world though a magic mirror, only to freak out because his armour is attatched by balljoints. Also jaller is a dog. Wacky hijinks ensue. 10/10 IGN
