    Ha, It appears that LEGO Ideas have proper English requirements in their guidelines. Use proper grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. Your project title and description text should be clearly understood and in proper case. Do not use ALL CAPS, all lowercase, MiXEd cAsE, txtspeak, ch4tsp34k, heavy punctuation!!!!!!!, etc. (As you can see, it’s hard to read). It is probably not a bad idea to review their current guildelines and that your project complies with them before submitting.

From the PVT rules: May I mutilate and brutalize the actual Lego bricks in my creation by cutting, gluing, painting them? Physical modification of Lego pieces is not allowed.

    Having the battery box centered over the PF motor can make a difference. If you look at 60051, the battery box is right on top of the train motor. With 60052, only part of the battery box is over the train motor. That could account for why your girlfriend's 51 train is not slipping or slipping as badly.

    Neat. How do you get funding? Do you approach the city? Reed switches worked pretty well for me. Things ran fine until the train jumped the frog switch. Need to do something about those LEGO track switches.

    There are people who enjoy collecting and there are those who enjoy building. Some are combination of both. There are all types in this community. My American locomotive wish would be an Amtrak Siemens ACS-64 with a couple of Amfleet cars. It's close to a Vectron loco that it could be something non-North Americans might want.

    Great. The safer alternative worked. People should use the half pin. Cut full pin at own risk. That should limiit your liability in case someone gets hurt chopping a pin in half.
