  1. It doesn't matter how peaceful the humans' intentions are. Dinosaurs are going to scratch things and roar.
  2. Not sure how are we supposed to predict the design based on price. For what we know, they could revamp the build system once again or make new molds that are more suitable for titans.
  3. Not liking that non-brick built head... Though maybe it is complete CGI that has nothing to do with the theme.
  4. I hope this is just a rumor. We have enough issues already with licenses messing with classical themes. SW has done much harm to space and thankfully POTC was not very successful. We don't need Castle to have to deal with this problem as well.
  5. Remember when Raw Jaw was called ...Unnamed beast, or what was it?
  6. @Roboforce: - First of all, everybody out of the US got a No export for you! from LEGO and never actually got this theme. So for most of us non-Americans out there it is unlikely that we have nostalgic feelings towards this theme. I honestly didn't know it existed after around 5 months since I ended my dark age. - I personally don't like the theme because for a theme called Roboforce, the mechs were not given much thought. Their design seems to be a move backwards from even the mechs in classic space.
  7. It seems that when they are "defective" (missing parts) they end up here for 1/8 the price...
  8. It is going to be a long wait before they announce them officially. But leaked pictures of the retailer catalog should appear eventually since people are already looking at them.
  9. I wonder if he could have meant hair drier by hand fan and then it would be the space woman as that sci-fi gun does look like a hair drier :P
  10. TLG should make a Black and Gray Morality theme in which spyrius defend themselves against blacktron (There, that's your conflict). Blacktron have air superiority with some cool fighters wholst spyrius go with mechs and saucers. Needs big guns and tons of violence.
  11. but that's only true for nostalgic AFOLs. Either way, if you take a look to the UFOs in this theme, they seem to try to be updates of the 1996 UFO theme. The minfigure torsos remind me of insectoids too.
  12. Sorry, I missed your text about the Celtic warrior.
  13. What about the 10 fix from that chinese site, were they in the catalog?
  14. Meh, so TLG wanted to make a female-friendly theme. And they also got the Princess license, but it didn't occur to them to use that Princess license for system sets, so they went with "Friends" instead.
  15. Remove the fire in the background and the helicopter is not really much more violent than your average space police 3 chase scene. The dinosaur is roaring, but then again, it is a carnivore. The PM set seems to be ready to make the blue rock monster explode if needed.
  16. Dynamite Flick fire missiles.
  17. I don't really understand the dislike of Dino Attack's 'violence' considering how most other themes have gotten about conflict anyway. Power miners had mecha fights with giant drills against giant rock monsters. I compared the sets from dino attack and dino 2010 and I happen to like the tanks more because they seem to have better designs whereas the dino 2010 ones seem to be the same designs but stripped of detail. My real qualm about Dino Attack was the 1-brick built dinosaurs. In Atlantis , PQ , Ninjago and even the large crystal king creatures are fun to build, so I just hope that this new dino theme has brick-built creatures.
  18. Hey, I did mean that those 2 themes were enough exploration for now. I just miss mechas :) City's space theme is just on the shelves so an exploration theme would look to come too soon to me. They are more closer to a space exploration theme than one would initially think, specially with the beautiful white atlantis armor. That moon buggy is almost a typical classic space set. I have the feeling that a space or space-ish (like Alien conquest) theme will not come until the second wave. I blame Star Wars.
  19. It is all speculation right now, it could as well be that spielgel.de forgot to list it. Note however that the number of villains seems quite "healthy". I am speculating this because it makes sense. I am gonna argue that most kids get around 3 heroes at the end so it may be a good idea to spend less time on designing the heroes and this might give the people that used to get all 5 heroes more money to spend on large sets, but that's arguable. I also think that story does better with fewer protagonic characters consider the Five man band.
  20. That wouldn't be a LEGO enabler, that would be a LEGO dealer.
  21. It is demand. Plenty of AFOLs really want those modular buildings and sellers know it, so they raise the price. This is redundant but it is mostly because I originally made a post that misunderstood the OP and now I can't delete it, so let me replace it with something that is consistent to what the OP says.
  22. (This post is about Phineas and Ferb) The whole show is like a thesis about how "good writing" can exist independently of a plot. Because of that, it gets incredibly meta, much of the show comes from subverting or inverting its rules or playing them straight in situations you wouldn't expect. It's a constant game on expectations. That said, it is a special taste and even if it is your kind of show you'll probably need to pay attention to a couple of four episodes before getting it. To me, it manages to be more interesting and have more sophisticated humor than the cartoons that are advertised as for grown ups. And the movie is by far the best movie I watched this year. Not like that was actually difficult to accomplish, this year has been a horrible year to watch movies, specially animated ones (I am looking at you, Pixar). -- Now I really would be skeptical about a LEGO theme. I mean, how are you going to do the figures without falling to the toy story megabloks slippery slope?
  23. It is the demand (and it is certainly retailers raising the price). I tell you, in here the series 4 figures are at the same cost as the series 1 and 2 were. I think series 5 will keep that price. The quality of the figures has not improved or anything since series 1 so it is certainly not that.
  24. We have had too many space exploration themes the last 5 years. I would like more action packed stuff. We need an emphasis on giant robots, hopefully fighting giant beasts and/or other giant robots. Needs big guns.
  25. Could it be we'll have only five heroes? I think it could happen that TLG decided that 6 were more than most kids were purchasing and it cuts production costs a little to design only 5. Plus we have 5 villains, coincidentally.
