  1. The Joker could really work as a giant robot for the minifig joker.
  2. Didn't Front say that the feet were going to use the new joints? 6 glorious trans neon green HF armors. I think I will focus on getting 3 reapas and 2 evos and probably split face. --- I'd rather they used boxes for every set. But the bags will at least not take that much space. I fear that the extra size would increase the shipment costs though.
  3. What do you mean by joint with friction?
  4. Was still hoping for 2.0fied versions of the helmets, oh well. I don't really like this guy. I may get him for pieces if I am suddenly wealthy. It is the legs, they make him look like he is wearing shorts.
  5. The DC/Marvel deal is multi year. And we do get Supie, wonderwoman and Lex Luthor in one set. It is likely that we will get more Green Lantern in 2013 if his TV show does well in 2012.
  6. Sebulba really is not quite the big character when you compare him to Chewbaca, and I actually are more excited about the other two pilots than about him.
  7. The yellow looks better than peach.
  8. HOTH with AT-T and snowtrooper would be full of win. Tatooine with Rancor and one of those guys from Super Mario 2 that appear in the first movie with shotguns, you know, those guys.. This would be great, but I doubt they will really put famous characters in the planet sets.
  9. It looks underwhelming to me even as a parts pack. Mostly because of the lack of new exo force arms. Sets like Rocka XL or Raw-Jaw + a hero seem to be much better alternatives as piece pack and with a similar price.
  10. Ultra violet light is your enemy. Don't expose bricks directly to the sun. Some 1993 and 1994 white bricks can get yellowed not by white sun but by age alone, they are the exception to the rule though.
  11. So far I got Raw-Jaw , Stringer and Fangz. Overall I love the two villains' aesthetic, they are far more beasty than anything Bionicle has made, yet their bricks are smooth. I think I will avoid the large sets and instead get more Fangz and Raw-jaw, their bricks are wonderful, and the only big set that attracts me is Witch Doctor, but he is taken. I might get Rocka for bricks though.
  12. I liked the prelims, and I usually like gold. But I gotta say that the large gold wings are making this set look not very pretty to me. Pearl gold and normal blue don't seem to go too well. hmmn.
  13. My dog used to chew LEGO, specifically Bionicle stuff, years ago. I am not sure what I did, but she has really stopped doing that. She actually seems to respect the bricks somehow, she wouldn't even get close to my area if I am building.
  14. I am pretty sure that the new ones are shorter (due to reviewing the scale in the CGI shots) and that that's what front means by asymmetrical.
  15. First of all, it is a gorgeous MoC. Though quite honestly, it is more like a Feline-ator MoC. Still very cool.
  16. That's great, more sets for me.
  17. I actually find it overpriced. It sounds more like a 20 or 25 set to me.
  18. We already knew that, in the cgi you can take sometime to see the scale and note that the thornax launcher-like piece is actually shorter than usual and has different insertion points. Front also commented on that a some time ago.
  19. I bought this set at 20% the price because some evil employee at TRU extracted the minifigure/crab bag. (apparently what happens to returned goods is that they arrive here). I gotta say the temple itself is great by itself without the minifigs. If you do include the minifigs, the set gotta be just incredible.
  20. I would kind of prefer versions of the 1.0 helmets that fit the new heads. But oh well.
  21. Speaking of poses. This one: Makes Evo look much better. I wasn't going to get him until I saw him in that pose.
  22. I expected this because of how much of a niche Design by Me was (and admit it, we are AFOLs so we must know tons of geeks, how many non-AFOLs are excited about the idea of being able to make their own ultra expensive sets through a complicated GUI that does not even run on Linux? The only viable target for this were AFOLs, and even among us it is really not very popular. What we do have is a lot of people using LDD to make MoCs without ordering them, and that is staying. Plus, Hero Recon team is staying, and LEGO is thinking of a different way for customization that is easier for children. Since I read between lines a lot, I am kind of seeing this as an announcement of some sort of Recon team for non-HF themes.
  23. Well played, LEGO.
  24. I hate licensed themes. It seems that just about every licensed theme and its mom has arrived this city, but I guess Alien Conquest and Kingdoms are too niche for us. PotC, Cars, Star Wars, Harry Potter and now Super Heroes, it is just too much for the real themes to hope to get picked by retailers. I wish I had realistic ways to buy sets online. Farewell, Alien Conquest. I expected you for almost a whole year only to get utterly disappointed.
  25. It is odd, but then again Bruce Wayne and Super Man's faces never looked too different in any of the cartoons I grew up with. Most importantly: I am not really liking the orange expression lines.
