I was never impressed by Lex Luthor. I hate superman's guts, Wonder Woman is passable and with 3 minifigs that set is going to cost a fortune. But man, I think I am going to head towards getting that awesome green mech. If I had a CC it would be so easy, I have this feeling some scalpers out there will have loose mechs cheap because they get the set only to re-sell the minifig. Oh well. Hope in 2013 we get a Brainiac set.

Probably contractual not to have Marvel and DC in the same wave, to keep the labels happy with the non-exclusive deal.
-
For mild cases a brush will do it. Else I would just disarm it , take the pieces to the normal procedure (water at 40% + dish liquid) and then build them again. If you are still using Bionicle then that is harder because of breaking joints. So you would have to be very careful. I hope that as we get more HF sets we can leave those dark times behind.

Messed up instructions are really the only thing I find wrong with these. I'd rather have them than live in this country in which these sets are not even available.

Well, the pictures of the bags seem CGI to me. It could be that whoever modeled them didn't bother with an actual reproduction OR maybe the zipper is a brick that comes inside the bag and you need to put it manually and the image one is to advertise it (Current theory). Either way, I am dancing on canisters' graves.

I thought this would interest people: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_Nation_Shorts Some small bits can be seen here: , for example, I saw the new Joker at 1:17.

Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets
vexorian replied to Jedi master Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It does not.If I have the money I should be able to do that, and I am actually, I feel the contents and buy all the figs I could get. The ones that end up having trouble are the kids who got less money and less access to information. Yes, exactly. It is a fraud. Back when minifigs were 2 USD, it was worth to go through the blind packaging, but now with the insane prices, the random game is just not worth playing. They could just produce minifigs that will sell well. If not for the blind packaging, they could just include two cheerleaders per box. The kids would get all the zombies they want and the AFOLs would directly buy the cheerleaders. If a minifig won't sell well overall then they should focus on making more demanded minifigs. Instead of using the blind packaging to make people get figures they did not want. -
Collectable Minifigures: Feeling the Packets
vexorian replied to Jedi master Brick's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The clerks at the only store brand that brings CM here are generally very accepting of feeling the contents and using bar codes and encourage everyone to do it. It helps that they are small stores and they are seldom full of people so it is not wasting anybody's time. What is really wrong is the blind packaging. If I didn't feel the contents of bags in series 4 I would have bought a lot more of them and no, that wouldn't really mean more sales for the store because CMs would have sold out anyway. In other words, kids would have had less chances to find the minifigs. -
Hands a whole different matter, I remember getting two Bulks 1.0 so that I could have two silver glat hands, they broke absurdly quick. Overall getting two Bulks 1.0 was the worst waste of money ever, because most of its joints broke and the pieces that are not joints are not very useful. Overall most of my glatorian hands are broken, I wish HF hands were available in bulk.
-
I've only broken one of them yet and it is not nearly as bad as the other pieces. I would like the piece to be updated because it lacks visual compatibility with HF 2.0.

Do we know for sure yet whether this is the last wave or not? The multi-environment trait gives me the vibes that this is the last one. Why have a multi-environment wave when it is possible to use each of those environments in a later wave?

With the high res pics, I am concluding that the mustache guy is a stunt driver. Cool actually. -

uh, why didn't they change the legs of the pajama kid to kid legs? I mean, he looks kind of weird in that height... -
Quite honestly, it looks like TLG are expecting people to buy anything as long as it has the licensed figs. I hope the other sets are not just glorified battle packs.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion

All right, so beyond the first reaction. Best figure in all seven series * The space marine. Finally! I hope that in a later series we get a variation with a different color so that we can have space wars. Love them * Bag pipes, kilt, non-teeth-plagued neutral face. This minifigure is win. * New flower, nice t-shirt, nice hair. Non-teeth-plagued mustached face! The hippie is going to be great in my collection. * Mayincatek warrior looks great. Remember when I said this figure was definitely going to come in a later series? Of course you don't, but I do. * Valkyrie: Of course I needed a Valkyrie, I just didn't know till now. * Will be nice to find once in a random bag, but don't look forward to get * The bunnie, Poseidon, the little red hood, the black knight and Tarzan are all great concepts implemented well. But I am not really planning to try to get them. * The new rocker is ok for the new guitar and the hair may look good on exo-force MoCs, but otherwise, the punk is better. Absolute hatred * I have a big problem with the geek. I would love the minifig if the clever computer mug wasn't MS-encumbered, but it is. Hope TLG doesn't make any more "windows-only" figure later. Anti-climatic * The other figs look underwhelming to me. The bride is ok but has teeth-plague ( boo), now if it had two faces including an angry expression , that would be lovely. The tennis player and the swimmer are the best proof I could find that TLG need to stop including sport figures in these series. The other guy, I really don't know what he is supposed to be. So I will call it generic civilian. He is uninteresting, but there is something cool about him. And it is that his head could really work for Ron Swanson MoCs. -

Tarzan is trademarked, among other reasons. -
Phantom is the best HF titan so far. But he is still not perfect. Not sure, he seems to be lacking something.

I LOVE this series. Because the space soldier is the only fig that interests me and he should be easy to feel. So I will hopefully get 10 or 15 of them. I mean, really, SPACE SOLDIER -
I think that with Kingdoms they are just going with a one-wave per year scheme that will last a couple of more years. I also think that the joust is proof that TLG are very invested into this theme. So, hopefully there will be a wave next year, but not in the first semester.

I would prefer TLG to lose this case after seeing those minifigs. They are definitely not exact copies and TLG shouldn't go and pull a Microsoft chasing after products that do the same thing but different, they certainly don't need to do that. Since, unlike Microsoft, TLG have quality on their side. If the figure was identical, I would support TLG in this case, but it just doesn't seem to be the case. Megabloks' minifigs are so ugly, that I think it is perfectly possible to argue that "The stones, the figures, the boxes, the parts and the use of color." are functional and thus required to compete rather than something that is part of trademark. Oh, and this article is probably the best evidence we have that we are still eons away of having good automatic translation.

What happens when the world runs out of petroleum?
vexorian replied to brickmack's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If we are really heading towards a day in which we run out of oil. TLG will go bankrupt long before that (due to the high oil prices that will start appearing in the process). -
Corweena: I hate you: you some how managed to get two of my favorite sets twice (both spyrius robots) and two sets I have always wanted to get but never could: that blacktron fighter and the SP2 tank.

New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
vexorian replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
This is the first 120 USD set in a while that definitely seems worth every cent. And I am not even a kingdoms fan. -
Ugh, the venomary altar has some awful megabloks-style wall pattern pieces that I really don't like. Next time TLG copy ideas from megabloks, I hope they pick the actual good ideas instead of that.
