My mother went to a garage sale recently and found this set and some other parts in a bag. When I opened the bag I was surprised to find this set in the bag complete with instructions and box! The best part was she only paid two dollars! After putting it together, I decided to make a updated version of it. Thanks for looking! C & C welcome!

!Lego 4184 Black Pearl New Built Review!

I have removed some pictures that are in violation of site guidelines for being too large. Please resize your pics before posting them. They really don't need to be any larger than 800x600. There are tutorial links in my signature, please use them. -
Excellent work! The rocks look amazing, as does the foliage. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Lego 6286 Skull's Eye Schooner....Finally! :)
Capt. Stabbin replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Pirates
While your pictures are nice, could you please resize them. The maximum allowed is 1024 x 768, ideally no larger than 800x600. There are links to tutorials in my signature. Thanks. -
This is very nice! Lots of details packed into such a small space. I love your creations, they all have a classic pirates feel to them. And they are easy blogging material! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Congrats Bob, I'm sure you will do a fine job! -
Just preordered mine. I doubt it will ship Jun 1st, considering that it falls on a Sunday. Can't wait to build it!

Stunning work! Your building techniques and ability are amazing! I clicked on the the picture, but it did not take me to your flickr gallery. Only to the picture itself. Anyway you could provide a link to your gallery? [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Capt. Stabbin replied to __________________________'s topic in Pirate MOCs
Didn't you already post this in the Pirates forum? -
I'm not sure how I missed this. I really like the designs you have presented, and the figures are excellent! How did you make the hats? They are very nice! [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

This ship is coming along beautifully! The Egyptian wing piece in the back is a really nice touch!

I'm very glad this got bumped as I've never seen this MOC before. I just love anything Mesoamerica related. The tiles for blood work really well, and the skulls are a nice touch. The custom torsos are excellent, but I really like those weapons! I'll have to check out BrickWarriors as that is something I could definitely use in my MOCs. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]

Brickshelf folders will become public once moderated, it just takes a little time to do so. Here is a tutorial that explains how to insert pictures in your post. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18451

Capt. Stabbin replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I agree. I'm just really excited to get a new Pirates set. Hopefully it will translate in to a whole new wave of sets. -
Thank you for this. I always love insight into a builders building process. I'm looking forward to the next installment. I know it's going to be a beautiful ship. I might just have to try my hand at your technique on of these days.

Cleaning and straightening out your sails
Capt. Stabbin replied to Medievalego's topic in LEGO Pirates
From the parts you describe it sounds like you have parts from 6274 Caribbean Clipper. As for cleaning the sails, it's something I've never done. Looking through this thread there seems to be some good methods. I'd try the soap and water first then iron, it seems some people have had good results with this method. -
Ambassador Project - Sub-Theme Suggestions - POLL RESULTS
Capt. Stabbin replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
I voted for The Treasure Fleet because it seem to fit the theme the best in my opinion. It has the most potential for pirate activities, and there is treasure. Quest for the Lost City would be a close second. -
LEGO Pirates in upcoming LEGO Simpsons episode?
Capt. Stabbin replied to TalonCard's topic in LEGO Pirates
Thanks for the clip. I'm looking forward to watching this. I doubt the pirates will play a large part in the show. -
Very nice! I love your cannon design and the tiled decks look great. I think the masts should be closer together and the sails a little larger. I also like the colorscheme. Great job.

As you requested. I will direct the conversation to continue here: VOC Frigate "De Ruyter"

Beautiful ship! Great details, the sails, the rigging, everything! Really nice photo editing. Is there any higher resolutions of the ship in the water? I would really like to make that my background on my computer. Again, great job. You are an excellent ship builder. Edit: I was able to get a higher resolution off of your Flickr, thanks!

AWESOME Pirate layout at Ch'ti Brick show in France!
Capt. Stabbin replied to Captain Hannibal Joost's topic in Pirate MOCs
Excellent work! The volcano is amazing. I really like the colorscheme on your fort, the tan and white go well together. Keep up the good work!
