"What you buy is what you own and sooner or later what you own will come back to you." I present the latest entry in my Stephen King series, Pet Semetary: The whole reanimated galley (including other SK vignettes): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=185145 Its only the sound of the loons... Steve

Wow, I'm surprised how long this thread has remained active... mine usually die out in a few days... Ironic for a thread about death, wouldn't you say? Steve
-
I might have to start a famous musician series... I was thinking about doing a Liberace vignette... Steve
-
Oooh. Good idea. I'll just have to find a good black torso... Steve

And entered the world of Lego! Yes, the latest in my Great Moments in History series: Elvis sings 'Hound Dog' on NBC, launching his career: The whole rockin' gallery (including other historic vignettes): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=161472 Steve

Lego Adventurers Web Site
Athos replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Both are great sites, I vist frequently. All Adventurer fans should register and post on adventurers.dk. We need to give Kecia some more traffic. Steve -
Probably about $750/year. Give or take, depending on the year. Steve

Mostly because conquest rides a white horse, so I wanted to distinguish between the colors of horses. No real reason, just didn't feel like it... *skull* Steve

The last horseman has arrived (yes I know there were 4, but I didn't start with Conquest, because I wanted something more ominous for 6-6-06. I'll go back and do him next week): The whole morbid gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=187514 Plus, Joe Vig tries to feed the wrong pony: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...eVig/death1.jpg Steve "One short sleep past, we wake eternally, And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die."

Well I thought the names would be sufficient, but after further consideration I guess not (thought I still think they are for two and three). So here you go: 1. Himalayas 2. Egypt 3. Vikings 4. Greece 5. Aztec/Inca Steve

Its about time I started planning for the fifth story. And I thought I'd try something different this time and let my readers decide where Johnny goes this time. I have five options planned: 1. Johnny Thunder and the Sins of Shambhala 2. Johnny Thunder and the Heir of Osiris 3. Johnny Thunder and Valhalla's Stepchildren 4. Johnny Thunder and the Mirror of Circe 5. Johnny Thunder and the Heart of the Sun Steve

Got to go with the Forestmen's crossing. The original bridge set. Well designed with some hiding places and a nice bunch of forest men and a forestwoman *wub* (I have two). And an interesting baseplate they ruined with stupid white dots... Steve
-
Got to go with 6081 (Kings Mountain Fortress). Don't really know why this one appeals to me so much. Its not exceptionally large, well defended or a very ingenious build, but for some reason I like how it all fits together. Its also the first castle set, built on a mountain baseplate, I think. So maybe that has something to do with it... Also comes with the princess. Steve

Thanks No, in the bible he carried a scale, but I took a little artisitc license and gave him some food. I figure its what he collected from the land and he uses it to make the people more hungry. Steve

The next horseman has arrived: The whole ravenous gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=187514 Steve P.S. Do not harm oil and wine!

Well since there are a few more minutes before 6-6-06 is over, in the U.S. at least, I thought I'd post the first in my latest vignette series: The whole martial gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=187514 Steve P.S. Beware the Ides of March... er, I mean the apocolypse :P

The Adventures of Johnny Thunder 4
Athos replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Rather than release an entry on 6-6-06, and run the risk of my readers being distracted by the apocolypse, I thought would post the latest portion today: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop045.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop046.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop047.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop048.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop999.jpg The whole dino-licious gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=139871 Steve -
I like it. I'd buy it for sure, if it were a retail set. Though $60 seems a bit too steep to me, $20 seems more like it. I love 'the entertainer.' Though I don't see 'the Gunslinger' (see my signature) on the scene ;-) Steve
-
Oooh. I like the idea of musical instruments. I'd also like to see more animals, either farm animals for peasants or wild animals for the nobles to hunt. And more non-military buildings would be nice, like a bakery or a mill. Steve
-
Wow, I must say I am impressed with the port-a-pottie. I think this may be a first, a mini-fig scale toilet. And it is quite well done... Does it come with some brown 1 x 1 round plate pieces? 8-

Well the bricklink order I was waiting on has arrived, so I present the latest addition to my story: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop037.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop038.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop039.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop040.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop999.jpg The whole dino-motive gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=139871 Steve
