But your brick separator is useless against this studless wonder: Steve, who didn't realize just how many Galidor sets there were...

Unless they are battery powered Steve

We are the borg... But seriously, nice castle. Steve

I think its looks decent. Certainly not the best model, but still pretty nice looking... Steve

I think you might need a whole lot more wax than that little container for these "women" :-X Steve

I'd say, slim to none. That's too bad. Orient Expedition (and vikings) has been the highlight of the themes in recent memory, well designed sets with lots of bricks and interesting pieces and figures. I think an Indy line would be really cool. I am a huge Indiana Jones fan. I even own a fedora X-D Steve

Classic Castle- What Makes it So Good?
Athos replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It had a nice balance of realism and fun. It didn't rely on colorful gimmicky characters, so older children/adults could appreciate it, but still was idealized enough that younger children could play too. Most (if not all) pieces could be easily incorporated into other models. Unlike the more recent sets, where people have to take a great deal of effort and ingenuity to find other uses for so many pieces. Good variety of factions, so we didn't have a million villains and five million heroes. Just my thoughts off the top of my head, Steve -
It should be the same color. As I recall, the AT-AT was produced before the color-change. Steve

I snagged the smallest minifig scale bionicle sets (30% off) at Target, thinking the visorak things might be good for some kind of cave monster creatures. The hero-figures are terrible (not posable at all) and the rest of the set isn't much better. Still kind of mixed on the visorak... Steve

I probably would, but I don't really do much pirate MOCing, as most of my pirate sets are at my parents place still... And I must say, I much prefer this color scheme to that of the (far too long) batman month... I am so sick of black... Steve

I have them all, except Pirates Perilous Pitfall and Skull Island. And maybe this one, I don't specifically remember getting it, but I do have enough spare pieces to build it. And I've got two Caribbean Clippers, but one is missing the sails... anyone want to part with some? ;-) And I must admit my BSB and Enchanted Island are re-releases. Steve Oh, and I don't have the Silly Comic Book, but since it only has two figures I don't count it.

Great design. I'm really digging it. How does the seaweed fit inside when its closed? Hinge? Or just take them off? Anyone tried Pippin Read's head? *wub* Steve

Great use of the 3PO head :-D Makes me wish I had the tech-saavy to do brickfilms. Steve

I kind of agree with everyone here. I think the licensed sets have been, for the most part, pretty unremarkable and forgetable... at least in set design. Doc Ock's hideout and a few Star Wars sets as an exception. I do like the Batman line, primarily for the minifigures and their accessories... Gotta love Two-face and the tommy guns :-D That being said, I think this should probably be the end of the line. There aren't really any new villans (at least to the average Batman fan) to make and I probably wouldn't buy any sets with the same figures... unless it was a really good set or on a really steep discount. I imagine this will be a one year series. It seems, especially with Arkham, that Lego went out of their way to do all of the villans and not leave anything for another year. I'd be somewhat interested in a Superman line, though maybe of only 2 or 3 sets, much like the first spiderman release. One cheap with Superman, one with Lois and Perry, and one with Lex. But as people have said, the sets might be hard to pull off. Finally, I'm very less inclined to buy any licensed products anymore, due to the fleshtones... since they don't really with the vast majority of my collection. :-| Steve

HISTORIC ACCURACY or FANTASY in LEGO's history lines ???
Athos replied to Brick Miner's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I really don't care either way, as long as the sets are well designed. It is nice to have a few fantasy elements, but I really don't mind either way. Steve -
I've been seriously debating picking this one up... I'm not into the mechanisms and am quite sick of arches, but the figures look good. May wait until there is a sale... Steve

Alternate Names for Johnny Thunder
Athos replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Oooh. I like Judson Cross... I think I might be stealing that name for a new character X-D Here are some other names he is known by. Steve -
Wow... that's quite an elaborate and intricate creation... Steve

If You Were Johnny Thunder...
Athos replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
What do you mean, 'if'? :-P Anyhow, it would be a radio... or some form of communication/signalling device. Steve
