The Adventures of Johnny Thunder 4
Athos replied to Athos's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well since its my Birthday today, I thought I'd publish the next installment as my gift to you... I hope you like my solution for the clouds (trying to decide how to do the flying scene is really what's been holding up this story). So here you go: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop005.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop006.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop007.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop008.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop999.jpg The whole birthday gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=139871 Steve -

Yes. Steve -
Here is the latest vignette in my biblical series... I'd planned on doing Noah, but this idea came to me, so I threw it together tonight. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...e/nephilim1.jpg The whole gigantic/demonic gallery (including other biblical stories): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=162415 Steve

Yes, at [very] long last, I present to you the newest Adventure of Johnny Thunder: Johnny Thunder and the Poachers of Prehistory. So without further ado, I present the latest adventure: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop000.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop001.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop002.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop003.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop004.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Ad...tory/pop999.jpg The whole dino-riffic gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=139871 Steve

What is this chamber? And if it supposed to be a bad thing, I don't think we should give anyone a number, or then we'll have people trying to get sent their to rack up their numbers. Steve

Looks like I'm not the only one. Maybe we could put this on a hiatus for a bit... or if you decide not too and just end it, please let me in on the story line, because I really would like to know. Steve
-
I'm sorry, but I've kind of lost interest in this... for now. I've just got too much other things going on right now to participate in something like this regularly. Maybe in a few weeks or so. Steve
-
I'm still a little mixed on this line... which is really an improvement because when I heard about it, I was dismayed and disgusted. :D I am happy to see that it is mostly regular bricks. Not a specialized/new piece in there (absenting Mr. Squarepants of course). And looks like he's got stubby legs. I hope we get some good accessories. Not much else to add, just yet. Steve

Light up creator sets? Looks like the last bastion of classic lego has fallen... The KK2 v.3 sets still look like a bunch of thrown together stuff. Its like they ran out of time and had to rush to get the designs finished on time. I don't understand why they can't make a decent model anymore. Steve
-
Oooh... lets read the magazine... I'm dying to hear more about Brangelina :D Steve
-
I do like that they appear to all be carrying the printed shields and seem to have abandoned the stickered models :D What I don't like is the models look nearly identical... :P What I'm disappointed about is still no beards... or giants... or dwarfs... :( Steve

More new Viking names! Phil: Stan: Mike: Frank: Doug: Jerry: Steve |-D

Just finished reading Children of the Corn. Thought it needed a vignette: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...ettes/corn1.jpg The whole corny gallery (with other assorted vignettes): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=121980 Steve

That's an interesting SNOT technique you used there. I've got an idea for a different 'X' marks the spot vignette scene. Is the photo stretched out anyway? At first glance I thought it was one of the junior pirate figures... Steve
-
Very cool and ominous... but I don't understand why you need crabs. Is the scene underwater? If so what's with the flames? Granted I'm not familiar with Lovecraft's mythology... Steve
-
Lets check the ticket booth and walk down to the end of the dock... though lets be careful, we don't want to be taking a long walk on the proverbial short pier... |-D Steve
-
Well then lets search the docks, while we're here. Steve

Maybe Legoland is like the Smurfs? 99 males and 1 female? Steve

:D Steve

I actually stole the design from One_Brick at classic-castle Steve

Was sitting on my couch looking at my Viking Longboat when suddenly this idea hit me. So I built a vignette to go with it: A look an the whole Tex-Mex restaurant vignette: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Athos/Vi...s/jalapeno1.jpg I wanted to put a flag pole on top with red white and green flags, but realized I don't have any green flags handy... The whole spicy gallery (with other viking vignettes): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=146958 Steve

Well then lets do it! Maybe look in it too. Steve
